Flashing this ROM will install the STOCK Android 5.0.2 OS From LG & T-Mobile.
This is only intended for use on the LG L90 D415 (T-Mobile Variant)
I've tested and everything works just fine. Just be sure to flash the SuperSU zip I've also provided. otherwise you WILL lose root!
I ASSUME YOU ALREADY HAVE BEEN FLASHING ROMS ON YOUR DEVICE AND ALREADY HAVE A CUSTOM RECOVERY INSTALLED!
I'm currently running a TWRP flashable version of the Official Lollipop update for the D415 L90 Optimus, or as I call it, the LollipOptimus! LOL
Rooted and all!
In post #3 there are links to my downloads.
thanks to: @DevoutDevelopment for advice!
& @shoxxy for twrp!
Thanks to LG for updating this mid-range device!
Thank you to the L90 community! :highfive: You guys ROCK!

For this Rom to flash and function properly you need:
An LG Optimus D415 (T-Mobile USA) which has a custom recovery installed.
As far as the boot loader being unlocked.... I never had the LG bootloader to begin with, only fastboot.
The current functioning ROM is FULL stock. You must flash SuperSU before rebooting or you will lose ROOT!
**************INSTRUCTIONS*****************
First download all three files in the next post. they are:
1. ROM Zip (LG/TMO packed by me.)
2. SuperSU update Zip (Mediafire)
3. TWRP.img (shoxxy)
++Ensure you have TWRP installed.++
Then do this:
1. Reboot into TWRP (CWM works too, I reccomend Shoxxys TWRP)
2. Flash ROM
4. Flash SuperSU zip to keep ROOT
5. Factory reset via TWRP
6. Reboot
You're DONE!
It will take several minutes to begin booting, be patient. You MAY see the LG logo for a minimum of 5 minutes, don't freak out!
************************************************** ************************************************** **************************************************
FRIENDLY HEADS UP:
The Stock ROM file is more than 1GB (1.07gb actually) so you'll need to have enough free space on your SDcard.
YES, I reccomend flashing it from the External SD Card.

LollipOptimus™
I have put together a modified version of this ROM. It's the stock OS with many changes..
Debloated and trimmed to where it is as MY daily driver..
It's stable, smooth, and functional. There are many things removed, like the quick memo app and quick remote app, I will not put them back in. You could just trial and error debloat the system on your own, like I did this week..
Anyway, here's the ROM:
https://mega.co.nz/#!B4EEXZxZ!40XcuPjeFMUVcW0TpAOeQwVkuZNNCzs9OtH9V-TJVl4
There will be updates made periodically. It's not fully done yet, IMO.
Make a nandroid before flashing this! Just in case!
Let me know immediately if there are any issues!
I'm so ready for this. I can finally have my camera back.
This is gonna be too good. Thanks for all the legwork so lazy bums like myself can enjoy the goodness.

The Camera works! everything except the baseband for some reason...
I'm going to figure this out.
then provide a link to the ROM and SUPERSU zip to ensure you stay rooted.
I had some problems and the zip I made accidentally flashed the stock boot loader, OH NO!
adb reboot fastboot
then
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
YAY I learned things today!

I've fixed the issued! Uploading SOON!
Currently debloating. I will release debloated with SUPERSU and busybox preinstalled. I'm not going to deodex, I'll leave that to the individual.
This ROM is amazing. LG is really out doing themselves!
As it stands, my ROM is 1.07GB as a zip. I'm timming it down. Hoping to get somewhere nearer to 700mb..
Keep your eye's peeled. It's coming!

I know, that if i will flash twrp on stock lollipop D410 it will be bricked. Are U changing loader to avoid this? Or u create flashable 5.0.2 that working on older loaders?

Nope, none of that.
I will say this, @Quarx has a Lollipop CWM recovery if you're worried about recovery compatibility....
I honestly prefer to use the FLAWLESS TWRP from @shoxxy .........I mean, it's simply the best!
I flashed via TWRP with no problems whatsoever/
I flash the ZIP, then SuperSU.zip, then just to be extra safe I reflashed the TWRP.IMG from recovery.
then I rebooted recovery to ensure TWRP was installed.
then simply rebooted the system...
everything worked great so far.
I just want to test it a few more times and make sure I don't kill anyone elses device. I had a WiFi only phone for a good 7hrs. nobody should have to deal with that.
I bricked this device several times today already, i need to ensure everything is working well before I have someone test.
I currently have a few people in mind to test. if they agree and try it out with no problems, it will be free for the taking!
Should I leave it stock with GApps? or remove all the GApps so users can flash their own..?
I say remove all gapps so we can flash our own.
Might give a little bit of freedom for the users. But I don't really care! I wanna try this out!

no, i mean that you are creating flashable 5.0.2, that will be flashing from recovery on 4.4.2 phone аnd after flashing recovery still properly working? It is?
But the official firmware via LG Support tool reflashes boot, aboot, laf, recovery, system folder etc. Does this mean that your firmware flashes only kernel, folders systems and data, but first levels of loading(like aboot) stay from older 4.4.2?

No, this ROM will flash all those, then just flash SUPERSU and TWRP right behind it. it typically works. Try it out.

Yes, however right now I'm just doing a highly customized, de-bloated, de-amazon'd, pre-rooted, stock based rom. I don't know if anyone is working on AOSP or CM based roms at the moment.

SD, I am trying to install TWRP as per the video. For some reason, my files look different then your and I am running Win 10. Any advice? Thanks much.
PS: When I get to the command prompt,, mine just opens up to my system, not the ADB folder....
EDIT: Ok, got it to go, don't know how, but it worked. Anyone else notice the device runs a little sluggish after this? Thanks!
hey since this is running lollipop amazon os. cany you guys make a costom rom like the hdx developers do that can be booted without unlocking the bootloader. they use safestrap which is like twrp but for locked bootloaders and install custom roms. they arnt fully custom they have amazon aspects that let it boot with the locked bootloader but it is almost fully custom the hdx has a nexus rom and a cm11 rom they made for it.

Not as easily as it they were installed.
Use a root file manager, to delete or rename or move.
Use titanium backup pro or similar app, to freeze google apps
you freeze all google apps, and see if performance improved, them unfreeze google apps one at a time to see which ones are causing issues.
I'd like to do a clean re-install of the OS before moving everything over to the phone ... but I don't see any downloads for the 3T on the OP downloads page?

Dare I ask what went wrong?
I was going to unlock the bootloader (since it would require a full wipe if I waited and did it later), but otherwise stop there (I don't think changing recovery or rooting result in any need to wipe)
There is a full OTA zip in the 2nd post of the TWRP thread. This may solved your problem. But I do suggest you read the whole thread, as there maybe info that regard to your bootloader issue. I noticed that some of the OP3T came with OOS 3.5.1, which have issue w/ custom recovery. So you have to upgrade to 3.5.3.
PS: there is this full backup available also.

After mucking around with TWRP/Root, I decided I wanted to try the plain vanilla SafetyNet-compliant OxygenOS experience. In TWRP, I flashed the 3.5.3 OTA from here. I rebooted my phone into Fastboot and relocked the bootloader, then rebooted back into OxygenOS. I think relocking the bootloader and flashing the OTA are interchangeable.
Also, from what I recall, if you want to flash the file through the stock recovery, have the file downloaded to the root of your internal storage partition and name it ota.zip. Either download it while in the OS, or use Fastboot mode and use adb push to upload it from your computer to your phone through USB. Reboot into Recovery and there should be an option to update.
Hi all after trying hundreds of different roms on my old nexus. I think i have found the best way to boost the speed. I'm using xenonhd 5.1.1 with parrot mod and M-kernels. ??
Trying it out right now and it seems snappy. But I am using f2fs version of Xenonhd without the M kernel.

"Lightning fast" and "Nexus 7 2012" are not normally used in the same sentence.
Maybe I'll have to give this a try. I've kept mine on stock KitKat, and it's dog slow.
Are you using SuperSU as recommended by ParrotMod, or does it work with Magisk? Thanks.
Edit: To answer my own question, it seems to work fine with Magisk.
so, you have to downgrade the bootloader to use this?
beside that, in the xenonhd thread someone said .. after u install some apps you'll get the same slow down like on every other rom
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=69949425&postcount=1817
I just got myself a new Nexus 7 and all i've done is run the updates up to 5.1 as 5.1.1 fails to install.
It is pretty slow and crashes a lot, I don't remember it being this laggy and slow when I first got one in 2012. Is it just a function of the new OS's or the new apps? What is the best build to be in for speed? I don't mind losing some of the newer features of the OS. Would just prefer something I can use without being frustrated...
Thanks

To use a "Grouper" ROM on the "Tilapia / 3g" device, you just need to flash the Grouper ver of TWRP recovery. Granted, you will not have use of the 3g radio, but otherwise it will function normally.

Thanks. The device comes with 4.2.2 should I flash first 5.1.1 (in order to update radios and stuff) and then root=>recovery=>rom? Or should I just root it in 4.2.2?
If anyone have the older files that I pointed I would appreciate, I will test them and leave my feedback.
I would download the last "official" update from Google for your device (Tilapia I'm assuming), and manually flash the radio and bootloader with fastboot. (Granted, you could install the entire update, but why bother if you're going to put on a custom ROM anyways) Then, unlock the bootloader (if not already done) install TWRP recovery and flash away.
Anyone tested this ROM yet (with a bunch of apps installed to see if slows down or not) ?

I have a 2012 Nexus 7 running Resurrection Remix M (Android 6.0.1), and I can say that RootBooster *does* help. My N7 was *very* laggy and slow to respond when tapping on anything. I chose "Basic Mode -- Speed", re-booted and it's a LOT faster now. Time will tell if it lasts.
I've had MultiROM and TWRP on this tablet for quite awhile, so I also have RR-N installed as a secondary ROM. I'm going to try RootBooster on that ROM also.
I have a Nexus 7 2012 wifi model and need it strictly for Chromecast audio to control Pandora and Spotify.
What's the best rom for that?
Don't care for anything else really...
I installed the setup mentioned by the OP on my Nexus 7 2012, and it is working well so far. Thank you OP.
Initially I tried to use the kernel that is included with the XenonHD ROM, but it seemed to have issues with lag, not waking from sleep, etc. Then I switched to M Kernel and it was much better, so switching the kernel is necessary in my opinion.

GApps:
I used the "nano" version from Open GApps:

Magisk:
Main thread and downloads here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445
My Procedure:
I was starting with stock rooted Android 4.4.4. I had previously used the WugFresh toolkit to root and install twrp. If you have something older or custom, you may need to flash a recent stock rom first to update your bootloader.
1) Update to current version of twrp. I used the twrp app from the play store.
2) Boot into twrp. Factory reset.
3) Boot into Android.
4) Download XenonHD, M Kernel, ParrotMod, and GApps files to PC, transfer to tablet via USB. (or download on tablet)
5) Boot into twrp. Wipe everything except internal storage.
6) Install XenonHD, M Kernel, ParrotMod, GApps
7) Boot into Android. Be patient, first boot takes a while
I also replaced SuperSU with Magisk, because I don't consider recent non-Chainfire versions of SuperSU to be trustworthy. To do this:
1) Download Magisk and Magisk Manager to PC, transfer to tablet via USB. (or download on tablet)
2) Open SuperSU settings, select option to uninstall and prepare for alternate su manager.
3) Reboot to TWRP. Flash Magisk. Wipe cache/davlik (not sure this is necessary). Reboot to Android. IMPORTANT: If twrp says device does not appear to be rooted and prompts you to install SuperSU, you must decline.
4) In Android, install Magisk manager.
Hope this helps someone else.

The main download link in post #2 of the above thread doesn't seem to contain the download anymore. But if you go to the "Older builds" link, you can find the 08-20-15 build there. Here is a direct link.

Error 7 often means you are trying to flash an Oreo ROM with an older version TWRP which does not support Oreo.
But we can't tell from the info provided by you. Always give version numbers and other details for TWRP (and blu_spark TWRP) you are having trouble with, as well as the ROMs you are trying.
Also, make sure you are using the right TWRP and ROMs for 3 versus 3T (another reason for Error 7).

I said: always give a version number. "latest bluesparks" isn't a version number. I can't count how many times I've seen folks claim they flashed the "latest" recovery. And when prompted for more info, we find out that they aren't even close, sometimes flashing a version TWRP from 2 years ago or older! Not saying this is necessarily your case. But we don't know for certain, if you don't give us precise and accurate info to work with.
You also said you flashed official TWRP. What version number exactly?
You also need to tell us what custom ROMs (and versions) you tried to flash. And what version OOS did you try to flash?
Some friendly advice, try to take more than 5 seconds to type a response to questions we ask you. Provide as much detail as possible, and answer all the quesions. For that matter, when asking for help, posting 2 or 3 (poorly typed) sentences is rarely enough info to go on. Again, provide as much detail and specific info as possible.
this is mostly an outdated firmware issue, Always make sure you have the latest firmware for your device
Firmware 4.5.1/nougat/3T
Firmware 4.5.0/nougat/3
or you can try the Oreo ones
(Stable)
Firmware 5.0.0/Oreo/3T
Firmware 5.0.0/Oreo/3
(Open Beta)
Firmware OB20/Oreo/3T
Firmware OB29/Oreo/3

the bluesparks twrp which i flashed is 8.61 op-3t
and the official twrp which works is 3.2.1-0
so when i use the official twrp i have to remove the "assert" from the updater script and flash the rom or else i get the error 7
Something which has come up recently is that my homebutton/fingerprint sensor does not work (its like it doesnt exist) when i flash any rom from android 7-8.1.
So i came to stock by relocked the bootloader by the way like it happens when you hardbrick your device. now im in marshmallow.
Something you should know about is that i flash a lot of roms and locked and unlocked the bootloader a countless times and i think this has affected the files which might be related to the homebutton and fingerprint sensor .
The other funny thing is that when i called oneplus to help me with flashing the latest software there method helps me to get the bluesparks twrp but since i keep flashing i lose the twrp so thats the only way i can bliuesparks twrp

Doesn't work like that, the home button, fp sensor "files" are not in TWRP, or managed by FW in any way. All of these are in the /system folder of the ROM that is installed. Which is why they don't work in TWRP.
Have you been on MM since you got this phone? If so, your firmware is heavily outdated, and that's why you end up with the White LED of Death. Try flashing the latest Open Beta over stock recovery. Make sure to unlock your bootloader first. Then flash any variant of TWRP you want, and then see if you still get the White LED of Death.

You shouldn't be locking the bootloader if you are flashing custom recovery and custom ROMs, and you don't need a locked bootloader to flash official updates either. Really, there is no reason to lock the bootloader unless you are worried about security concerns; want a "full stock" conditions, etc. And for most xda users, an unlocked bootloader is going to be the highly preferable condition. Further, locking the bootloader requires be full stock (including stock recovery, not TWRP). And trying to lock the bootloader under any other condition, is asking for trouble.
I agree with the recommendation above, to flash the full zip of the Open Beta or official OOS update, which will put you on a fully "stock" baseline including firmware. Then go from there.

If flashing the official zips with TWRP (including blu_sparks), you will always lose TWRP (overwritten with stock recovery) if you reboot after flashing the update. You can prevent this by flashing root (SuperSU, Magisk) or a custom kernel before rebooting (after the update).
