I am not responsible for bricked devices. Follow these steps at your own RISK!
Flashing this ROM will install the STOCK Android 5.0.2 OS From LG & T-Mobile.
This is only intended for use on the LG L90 D415 (T-Mobile Variant)
I've tested and everything works just fine. Just be sure to flash the SuperSU zip I've also provided. otherwise you WILL lose root!
I ASSUME YOU ALREADY HAVE BEEN FLASHING ROMS ON YOUR DEVICE AND ALREADY HAVE A CUSTOM RECOVERY INSTALLED!
I'm currently running a TWRP flashable version of the Official Lollipop update for the D415 L90 Optimus, or as I call it, the LollipOptimus! LOL
Rooted and all!
In post #3 there are links to my downloads.
thanks to: @DevoutDevelopment for advice!
& @shoxxy for twrp!
Thanks to LG for updating this mid-range device!
Thank you to the L90 community! :highfive: You guys ROCK!

Based On: Stock LG/TMO OTA

For this Rom to flash and function properly you need:
An LG Optimus D415 (T-Mobile USA) which has a custom recovery installed.
As far as the boot loader being unlocked.... I never had the LG bootloader to begin with, only fastboot.
The current functioning ROM is FULL stock. You must flash SuperSU before rebooting or you will lose ROOT!
**************INSTRUCTIONS*****************
First download all three files in the next post. they are:
1. ROM Zip (LG/TMO packed by me.)
2. SuperSU update Zip (Mediafire)
3. TWRP.img (shoxxy)
++Ensure you have TWRP installed.++
Then do this:
1. Reboot into TWRP (CWM works too, I reccomend Shoxxys TWRP)
2. Flash ROM
4. Flash SuperSU zip to keep ROOT
5. Factory reset via TWRP
6. Reboot
You're DONE!
It will take several minutes to begin booting, be patient. You MAY see the LG logo for a minimum of 5 minutes, don't freak out!
************************************************** ************************************************** **************************************************
FRIENDLY HEADS UP:
The Stock ROM file is more than 1GB (1.07gb actually) so you'll need to have enough free space on your SDcard.
YES, I reccomend flashing it from the External SD Card.

LollipOptimus™
I have put together a modified version of this ROM. It's the stock OS with many changes..
Debloated and trimmed to where it is as MY daily driver..
It's stable, smooth, and functional. There are many things removed, like the quick memo app and quick remote app, I will not put them back in. You could just trial and error debloat the system on your own, like I did this week..
Anyway, here's the ROM:
https://mega.co.nz/#!B4EEXZxZ!40XcuPjeFMUVcW0TpAOeQwVkuZNNCzs9OtH9V-TJVl4
There will be updates made periodically. It's not fully done yet, IMO.
Make a nandroid before flashing this! Just in case!
Let me know immediately if there are any issues!
I'm so ready for this. I can finally have my camera back.
This is gonna be too good. Thanks for all the legwork so lazy bums like myself can enjoy the goodness.

The Camera works! everything except the baseband for some reason...
I'm going to figure this out.
then provide a link to the ROM and SUPERSU zip to ensure you stay rooted.
I had some problems and the zip I made accidentally flashed the stock boot loader, OH NO!
adb reboot fastboot
then
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
YAY I learned things today!

I used the LG firmware extraction tool.
I've fixed the issued! Uploading SOON!
Currently debloating. I will release debloated with SUPERSU and busybox preinstalled. I'm not going to deodex, I'll leave that to the individual.
This ROM is amazing. LG is really out doing themselves!
As it stands, my ROM is 1.07GB as a zip. I'm timming it down. Hoping to get somewhere nearer to 700mb..
Keep your eye's peeled. It's coming!

I know, that if i will flash twrp on stock lollipop D410 it will be bricked. Are U changing loader to avoid this? Or u create flashable 5.0.2 that working on older loaders?

Nope, none of that.
I will say this, @Quarx has a Lollipop CWM recovery if you're worried about recovery compatibility....
I honestly prefer to use the FLAWLESS TWRP from @shoxxy .........I mean, it's simply the best!
I flashed via TWRP with no problems whatsoever/
I flash the ZIP, then SuperSU.zip, then just to be extra safe I reflashed the TWRP.IMG from recovery.
then I rebooted recovery to ensure TWRP was installed.
then simply rebooted the system...
everything worked great so far.
I just want to test it a few more times and make sure I don't kill anyone elses device. I had a WiFi only phone for a good 7hrs. nobody should have to deal with that.
I bricked this device several times today already, i need to ensure everything is working well before I have someone test.
I currently have a few people in mind to test. if they agree and try it out with no problems, it will be free for the taking!
Should I leave it stock with GApps? or remove all the GApps so users can flash their own..?
I say remove all gapps so we can flash our own.
Might give a little bit of freedom for the users. But I don't really care! I wanna try this out!

no, i mean that you are creating flashable 5.0.2, that will be flashing from recovery on 4.4.2 phone аnd after flashing recovery still properly working? It is?
But the official firmware via LG Support tool reflashes boot, aboot, laf, recovery, system folder etc. Does this mean that your firmware flashes only kernel, folders systems and data, but first levels of loading(like aboot) stay from older 4.4.2?

No, this ROM will flash all those, then just flash SUPERSU and TWRP right behind it. it typically works. Try it out.

What is BOOTSTACK ?
Bootstack is a bunch of files placed deep inside your phone. They are responsible for turning your phone ON and OFF, they are providing download mode which allows you to flash official KitKat and Lollipop .kdz files. Bootstack is ensuring SIM support so you could make calls, send texts and access mobile internet. Those files also allows you to fix your bricked phone after flashing bad ROM. Bootstack is basically making you phone work. If those files get corrupted you may have to send your phone to repair.
YOU SHOULD NOT MESS AROUND WITH DOES FILES !!!
Bootstacks available in download section are meant for advanced users who know what they are doing.
Which BOOTSTACK do I need ?
Usually you do NOT need and should NOT touch those files.
They are being updated when you flash .kdz file.
When you're updating your L90 to Lollipop using .kdz you are also updating bootstack to a newer version. After that update you can only use stock LG Lollipop. So if you want to go back to stock KitKat or install any customROM you have to downgrade your bootstack.
You can do this in two ways:
1. Use .kdz file with KitKat in LG Mobile Support Tool. After that update you may lose all your data, your bootloader will be locked (does not apply to D415), your recovery will be restored to original and you will lose ROOT privileges. Your entire phone will be restored to factory state. (Safer and recommended for inexperience users)
2. Use bootstack zips provided here. After flashing one of the zip available below you will downgrade or upgrade your bootstack (depending on which zip will you use). You will get unlocked bootloader and your recovery will change to TWRP. ROOT privileges will NOT be affected.
If you decide to use second option check out this description:
- If you want to use official LG stock Lollipop choose Lollipop zip
- If you want to use official LG stock KitKat or customROM choose KitKat zip.
I still don't understand what is BOOTSTACK for
If you updated your stock software from KitKat to Lollipop using .kdz file (or official OTA) you also (unwillingly) updated your BOOTSTACK to Lollipop version which is good. It's how it supposed to be. But if you decide to restore your KitKat backup from recovery or install customROM while being on stock Lollipop you will NOT be able to make calls, send texts or access mobile internet. To have SIM support you need KitKat BOOTSTACK and you can find it in this thread. Read again "Which BOOTSTACK do I need ?" to make sure you know what you are doing. If you have never updated your phone to official stock Lollipop from LG you don't need to change anything.
If you still have questions about BOOTSTACK ask them in Q&A section here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-l90/help/qa-bootstack-kk-l-l90-t3118867
You will need ROOT, unlocked bootloader and custom recovery (TWRP recommended) to flash this.
If you decide to use my bootstacks, please let me know if it worked correctly for you (please include variant number and name of zip you used) !!!
Download:
If you want to use official LG stock Lollipop choose Lollipop zip
If you want to use official LG stock KitKat or customROM choose KitKat zip.

It's STRONGLY advised to less advanced users to read sections: "What is BOOTSTACK ?" and "Which BOOTSTACK do I need ?" before doing anything.
They should also choose ONLY files labeled as STABLE. They are confirmed as working properly for most of the people.
You should NOT forget that even stable files can work incorrectly for some users.

It should.
There is no information about changes between 20A and 20B and even if they are, they are probably regarding system partition. The only bootstack that I used was slightly modified D405n for KitKat.

Hi
It should be NO Bootstack from KK needed. :
1.Flash Lollipop from KDZ
2.Root the Device
3.Unlock Bootloader using this from my Thread ( Thx @Зевс)
4.Flash my TWRP or any recovery you want, via an app like: rashr, or flashify or .......
Thats it
The Bootstack thing is only needed on devices with locked Bootloader... but i bricked my G-Pad v400 (msm8226) many many times , when i try that out :silly: so the unlocked Bootloader (if its available) is the best way for me :good:
Best Regards

Thats what i am talking about. if you could not go into Recovery or Download Mode you are bricked at QHSUSB Mode 9006 or 9008.
This Bootstack Thing should only be used if you defintly know what you do, also make sure you could unbrick your device

Bootstack are needed when you want to flash custom ROMs and your phone is upgraded to official lollipop.
Installing ROMs that way (without using kk bootstack or flashing back kk via kdz) ends with unknown baseband, no network signal.
Are you suggesting that people can use custom ROMs directly from lollipop stock?

ok i dont know that will try it out.
is it not enough to flash the modem then ?
also its much safer i think to flash the kk Kdz ?
edit: the bootstack is also neede on devices like my gpad (wheres no unlocked BL)... to use twrp on stock LP
thats the reason why i have to use bootstack from kk there

edit2: yes youre right,(just tryed out) i i was not so much on my L90 the last days , so i dont saw that . THx @judas1977
So guys..I don't understand what Bootstack is..What I wanna ask is..
1- ATM I'm in stock Lollipop
2-If I unlock bootloader and install CM, there'll be unknown baseband..And I know this..
3-If I flash KK bootstack on Official LG Lollipop Stock, and then flash a custom ROM, will baseband work?

You need bootstack to get network working on custom ROMs

So guys..I don't understand what Bootstack is..What I wanna ask is..
1- ATM I'm in stock Lollipop
2-If I unlock bootloader and install CM, there'll be unknown baseband..And I know this..
3-If I flash KK bootstack on Official LG Lollipop Stock, and then flash a custom ROM, will baseband work?
P.s. My phone is fully working right now, and I don't need bootstack for unbricking my phone.

Yes, That's correct. After flashing KK bootstack you will get a working baseband on customsROMs.

Dare I ask what went wrong?
I was going to unlock the bootloader (since it would require a full wipe if I waited and did it later), but otherwise stop there (I don't think changing recovery or rooting result in any need to wipe)
There is a full OTA zip in the 2nd post of the TWRP thread. This may solved your problem. But I do suggest you read the whole thread, as there maybe info that regard to your bootloader issue. I noticed that some of the OP3T came with OOS 3.5.1, which have issue w/ custom recovery. So you have to upgrade to 3.5.3.
PS: there is this full backup available also.

After mucking around with TWRP/Root, I decided I wanted to try the plain vanilla SafetyNet-compliant OxygenOS experience. In TWRP, I flashed the 3.5.3 OTA from here. I rebooted my phone into Fastboot and relocked the bootloader, then rebooted back into OxygenOS. I think relocking the bootloader and flashing the OTA are interchangeable.
Also, from what I recall, if you want to flash the file through the stock recovery, have the file downloaded to the root of your internal storage partition and name it ota.zip. Either download it while in the OS, or use Fastboot mode and use adb push to upload it from your computer to your phone through USB. Reboot into Recovery and there should be an option to update.
Hi,
Im kind of late in terms of LG G4. But it it is now my curret phone. Have expierence installing unlock bootloader installing twrp and supersu on motorola phones. Owned a LG G2 and bricked it because of flashing wrong files.
There are alot of variants to LG phones...compared to motorola that create a higher risk.
So im trying to be cautious here.
Ive done my research and found this link.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-g4/development/stock-h811-20i-images-kdz-flashable-t3308227
Can someone confirm that this will work on my LG G4 T mobile 20v with 6.0 marshmellow?
From what i understand i just skip the first step Flashing the imagee (because it is for the 20i) then continue with the normal routine? Is this twrp and supersu compatible?
Is there a way to restore my variant stock rom if i screw up?

These instructions are more up to date and accurate! - https://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-g4/general/how-to-unlock-bootloader-flash-twrp-t3344421
on line 10 change the command to 'fastboot boot recovery "NAME OF TWRP FILE" - this will boot twrp on the phone itself, then from phone install twrp and supersu from your microsd card
you need to put a copy of twrp in the adb/fastboot folder on your pc and twrp and supersu on your microsd card before starting, to avoid mistakes name them recovery.img and supersu.zip
latest twrp: https://dl.twrp.me/g4/twrp-3.1.1-1-g4.img.html
latest supersu: https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/supersu/download/zip/SuperSU-v2.82-201705271822.zip

Start the backup and wait at least 10 min. The screen should become responsive after the backup has finished - normally sooner but it is not crashing just using all power available.
.
Sent from my LG-H815 using XDA Labs

Installation Instructions/Nuances of Oreo
Deodexing Oreo is a little bit janky. The boot.img need to be patched to allow for use of dalvik cache, or it is really really slow.
Installation of the deodex base for the first couple of reboots is pretty odd
1. Install it as you would any other base.
2. When it reboots, the screen will stay black for 10-15 minutes (crack a beer and wait, dont worry)
3. Once it boots, it may or may not throw a systemui error, press wait and continue with the initial setup and get into the OS
4. reboot once or twice, and the speed shall return.

Absolutely. Have Stock Verizon 2.41.605.36 running with Magisk 15 on my 10. Typically I roll back to the stock recovery and boot images, take the OTA, then reflash TWRP, then Magisk, then ElementalX kernel.
And I still prefer my 10 to the U11 (and I detest Oreo).

Verizon works perfect actually. LTE/3G/1X HD calling/VOLTE. Only thing your missing out on is video calling/wifi calling. No external sd is troublesome, but I have made it work. Super easy to flash thing. A/B is still kinda new, especially coming from HTC. Very enjoyable experience for me so far
ALSO: to note: they freely give away betas to anybody who wants to test and report bugs. Its not the gift of the select few like like the 10 (huddled around a flickering fire, waiting for @santod040 @hgoldner @dottat to throw them bone of what is next to come) over dramatic...lol but seriously i really like the concept, fairly transparent. They want you to be their dev base
OP and 2nd Post Updated. Added the Oreo Deodex Base.
Aosip for Motorola Z2 Force
What is this?
AOSiP is a quality custom ROM based purely on GOOGLE AOSP source since 6.0 release. Twisted with the latest features and blended with stability. We strive for perfection and it shows.
Obligatory Warning: This guide and ROM assumes you know the fundamentals of fastboot, flashing TWRP, and running a flash all. Your warranty is voided because of the unlocked bootloader. This is a Third Party ROM. Things may not work as expected compared to stock (for better or for worse).
Warning 2: If you can't do fastboot commands, do a flash all, root your device or flash TWRP/ROM, please do not ask for help here. If you cannot flash all back to stock, please stay stock for everyone's sake.
Warning 3: if you don't flash the firmware so you are on Oreo on both slots, when you boot after flashing, you'll be on Nougat firmware and have a brick. Try a flash all as that's your only hope on recovering your phone.
How to install
1. Download the latest ROM from here.
2. Prepare your phone for AOSP style ROMs. (download one of the firmwares depending on your model)
Flash the firmware with the .bat file. (See links below or on Post #2)
3. Boot to TWRP
4. Flash TWRP to boot image (with the zip from their website.) Reboot to Newly flashed recovery.
5. Erase oem, data, and system
6. Flash rom like you would any aosp rom, in twrp.
7. Reboot to bootloader
8. run the command "fastboot -w" (this will erase EVERYTHING from your phone, even internal SD, but is needed to have these ROMs work)
9. reboot.
Whats working?
Wifi
RIL
Mobile data
GPS
Camera
Flashlight
Camcorder
Bluetooth
Volte (T-Mobile)
Change quick charge
Fingerprint reader
NFC
Lights
Sound / vibration
Some motomods (soundboost mod doesnt work)
Team Illusion:
Josh Fox (xlxfoxxlx)
Akhil Narang
Sri Harsha (@srisurya95)
Shreesha Murthy
Brett Montague
Known issues
1. WiFi Calling hit and miss
2. Cannot flash Gapps (included temporarily)
3. some Audio recording apps will not have audio recording work (phone functions fine)
4. if you don't fastboot -w, you will not boot.
5. if you don't flash the firmware your bootloader might relock itself and be stuck on Nougat.
6. SElinux is passive (meaning CTS check will always fail until further notice.)

Bug reports:
If you don't flash the firmware and your other slot is nougat, after flashing the ROM, you'll brick. (Custom ROM with a locked nougat slot.) Your only hope is attempting an official flash all and try again after flashing the firmware zip in the posts above.
Fair warning and off-topic: I am okay with some off topic questions. If you have a question, please use the search function. If I have addressed the question before, I will not answer and advise to find it in the thread. I will report the post for a mod to delete along with my response to keep the thread tidy. It seems some users think this ROM has international support. It doesn't and won't unless someone with another variant or an unlocked T-Mobile/Sprint model tests, confirms and debugs for that international carrier. Please keep in mind of what I said below regarding this. I posted this on page 20 or so and copying here for better visibility.
Your SIM is locked. You are trying to run a phone off it's intended network. Please don't post those problems here. It isn't ROM related. Like the thread states. It works for T-Mobile and Sprint only on their respective models on their locked networks. Any other tom foolery isn't supported and must be kept out of the thread. After this it will be considered off topic.
Edit: if you have Sprint or T-Mobile service and run into issues with using your (albeit, expensive) international roaming plan, I will assist with that if it works on stock but not AOSP. If you don't have a sprint or T-Mobile sim, I cannot help. Almost all devs on this device won't be able to help. "Almost" all of us are on US carriers.

Motomods work with kernel in ROM (hot swapping should as well iirc, I don't use the mods that often where my projector is outdated) LTE doesn't work on Sprint, but 3G and 1xTT works fine.
@Uzephi if we were to flash your kernel, we would lose motomods support?

For now, yes. Still trying to get it work. Clang is being a PITA on my build box, having to go to Linaro which can't build the Motorola Greybus driver correctly.
Thanks sir, I appreciate what you've done for the community, finally can go back to my moto from a GS8+
I'm sorry if this is a dumb question but...
Ive never had to install different firmware before on a ROM. If I install this, will it change the process of installing a different ROM in the future?
Thank you.

Open the bat file in a text editor and run each of those commands one by one.
This I'd a dual boot device. Your other slot has the older Nougat bootloader. That firmware flashed the current Oreo firmware to both slots. If you don't do that, and you flash one of these ROMs, you'll reboot to your nougat slot, locked and pretty much screwed without a flash all and luck of being able to flash OEM images in oem mode.
Edit: you won't need to flash this any consecutive times until there is another big firmware update like nougat to Oreo was.

Thank you for the quick reply. I've installed the firmware, but now when I boot to TWRP and try to install the ROM, it instantly fails with ERROR:1. Tried redownloading with a different browser but got the same result. I feel like I'm missing something obvious.

Flash twrp zip to your phone, reboot to your phone's newly flashed twrp recovery and flash the rom. If I remember right, you need to wipe oem and system before flashing the ROM as well. I'll add that shortly.
Up and running! Thank you!! Still looking around but I do see a built in updater. Will this function 100%? By that I mean, when the Sprint LTE issue is resolved and whatever else is coming will be handled by the updater?
Thanks again very excited to play around.

Working fine for me thru Evie Launcher. Soundboost mod is broken though. My SoundBoost is recognized and the notification says the mod is attached, but the volume steps are reduced to on/off and no sound comes out.
Edited to reflect that only the sound boost mod isn't working AFAIK.

Oh, @npjohnson and @invisiblek don't have the sound mod, so they can't get it to work. All of us in the development discord are trying to mail one out, they can't guarantee when it would get fixed.
Edit: added disclaimer to OP. We can only guarantee what we have works. Like when I do my kernel, the only mod I have is the free projector, so that's the only mod I can guarantee works when I do get it working.
I have an extra soundboost I could mail to someone.
