hey all
so i am in a bit of a pickle here and hoping you can help.
so this fire had slim LP flashed and was great but after hearing about cyanogenmod for kindle i decided id switch because i <3 cyanogenmod on my devices.
i attempted a flash using flashfire like i did when flashing slimLP but it seemed to have crashed so i turned it off during the flash.
I have tried getting into the recovery but when i do it freezes on a silver amazon logo
i had hoped to boot into recovery and re flash the stock OS via ADB but because i cant get into the recovery i cant do that.
the device was on fireOS 5.1.1 before the switch to slimlp any ideas would be appreciated am i screwed or is it saveable?

Unfortunately, you are probably done. If the device is within warranty (90 days) contact Amazon for a one-time courtesy replacement.
FlashFire version, options and operations sequence are important. If you attempt this again (presumably on a different device) be sure to read through the relevant thread for the most current information and recommendations.

Hey guys,
So, I'm a noob here and I think I messed up badly. I had my kindle rooted and was attempting to install CyanogenMod using an app called fire flash as I was instructed. Now my kindle is stuck in a boot loop. The Kindle Fire logo is not animated and disappears and comes back... over and over again. I was originally trying to get CyanogenMod through a guide on Gizmodo but was experiencing some problems and decided to try the fire flash route. Does anyone have any info on how to fix the boot loop problem I'm facing?
Thank you!

Depends on what you did. Check my thread, and see what you did wrong. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2271909
If you can access TWRP, and made a Nandroid backup, then reboot into TWRP and restore. Otherwise, if you can enter fastboot, then refer to number 4 in that thread.
Same Boat
Hey I ran into a similar situation, my logo is exactly as you described. Tomorrow I'm going to order a Fastboot cable, and hopefully be able to use that to flash a working bootloader. If anyone has any more updates on this situation, it would be greatly appreciated
So I grabbed a Kindle Fire HD 7" yesterday with the intention of making it run 4.2. After rooting it successfully, I followed the "The Simple Guide to Root the Kindle Fire HD and Flash a Custom ROM" guide on Gizmodo.
However, like an idiot, I forgot to put my ROM on my tablet before flashing it. Now it only boots into TWRP and Fastboot. I can't get adb working for the life of me. Is there any convoluted method of putting the ROM on my Kindle, or worst case scenario doing a complete factory reset? I'm very concerned I bricked my device for good. Please tell me otherwise. :3
Whenever I tell it to reboot into Recovery, it simply takes me back to TWRP.
Nevermind, I fixed it by flashing the stock recovery and boot.
I'm finding it somewhat impossible to install a custom ROM on this currently useless device.
It is a Kindle Fire HD 7" (not the new HDX)

- Already tried it and the tablet goes into a bootloop once I restart, have to use factory cable to restore, apparently it doesn't work if your 7.30 or above

I tried this to downgrade it to 7.2.1 but once completed the tablet said it cant boot and has to do a restore, then it goes back to 7.30. There is a 7.2.3 option too but I never tried it.
I don't know what to do all I want is to get rid of this stupid crap rom but if I can't I'll just have to use a launcher... any ideas?
When you boot looped did the kindle fire logo turn blue?
The first link should work fine for installing twrp the issue with 7.3 is the boot loader and the entire reason you install the freedom boot part.
It should install twrp and at the same time most likely boot loop your device.
Just try using the key combo if twrp doesn't automatically load.
After installing twrp you need to already have a rom on your sd card and to immediately install it.
I would recommend to try the first link again.

Yessir I already tried it 2 times. First is when I first got my Kindle and had to wait a month for a fast boot cable. I tried again but still boot loops again on the Kindle Fire logo, really frusterating.

What version is your stock software? If you have the new refresh of the KFireHD (2013) then the 2nd bootloader exploit wont work for you.

dose any one have any help on this????
It sounds like you need a factory cable to boot it and push the stock images back to the device. There are several threads on how to do this.
Fast boot cable
You need a fastboot cable then download some Unbrick utility software and you should be able to go back to stock.
sorry forgot i posted this i got it fixed np made my own cable and unbricked it.
got rid of amazon again i am running linux cent os on it runs fine nps and is faster
Nice
Okay thats good that you got it fixed but Linux on a kindle i didn't even know you could do that can you send me a link to a tutorial on how to do that.
Hey guys. Awhile back I installed cyanogenmod onto my parents kindle fire hd in order to give them a speedier experience since the stock rom was starting to get slow. It worked great! until my mom decided she did not like this OS anymore and tried formatting the device from within the OS. Now whenever I try to boot it up, it shows the red fire logo and then the blue fire logo but then goes into the TWRP loading screen. Here, it just keeps flashing the TWRP logo and won't let me do anything. The adb status is offline. I tried using the unbrick utility to no avail. Any suggestions?

You're going to need a fastboot cable. You can find them on eBay. Once you have that, you can push a new recovery image and rom to the kindle and flash it. Then tell your mom to read up on this site before tweaking!
