Android Wear - Nexus 6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I need some help here, I bought an LG Urbane today and I can't get the google Wear app to work on my stock Nexus 6 6.0.1. When I install the wear app from the play store it saying google play services has stopped over and over again. I've tried installing older versions of the wear app along with clearing cache rebooting and nothing has worked.

Go to settings, application manager/All scroll down to Google Play services then clear data. Then go to Google Play Store then there clear data also. Now reboot your phone. See if that works.

I have tried clearing out the cache and data of my Google Play Store but no luck. I haven't tried it to reboot though.
I've read somewhere that I need to update my Google Play Store? If so, what's the latest version? Thank you!
Your on 4.1.10 that's the latest version I think, Google Play updates itself when newer version's are out. Here try this last version for JB 4.1.2. http://d-h.st/DxV. this is Google Play 4.1.6

Try some of these tips.
Clear dalvik-cache and reboot (doesn't have to be all of the dalvik-cache, you can just delete "/data/dalvik-cache/[email protected]@[email protected]" and "/data/dalvik-cache/[email protected]@[email protected] ").Clear the Play Store's data and reboot.Clear Google Services Framework's data and reboot.Delete PS and GSF's ODEX files ("/system/app/Phonesky.odex" and "/system/GoogleServicesFramework.odex") and reboot.Uninstall updates either via Settings->Applications (or whatever it's called in the Android version on your phone/tablet) or manually delete "/data/app/com.android.vending.apk" and "/data/app/com.google.android.gsf.apk" and reboot.Delete your Google account from your phone/tablet, readd it, and reboot.Edit: I forgot to include clearing GSF's data.

Did you get Google Play to work at all after using them tips above. Some find deleting your Google account, reboot phone then relogin again helps.

Yes, I cleared the data off my Google Play Store and restarted the phone. It is working now!
Thank you!
Also one of the possible reasons why it is not working is brcause they were running a maintenance in the time when it was night in the us and day in the rest of the world.

Error code with googlesearchbox

I have a NEXUS 6 non rooted stock phone
I updated the Shazam app this morning and then after the phone was acting weird. I went ahead and rebooted it.
Usually, it connects to all my bluetooth and network automatically, but I had to do it manually. Weird I thought.
When I go to the play store and check my apps for updates
It gives me an error that google app has stopped, but I look into detail of the crash report, it has a crash with com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox:search
When I try to access YT, it doesn't open.
I have gone ahead and wipe the cache partition,
disable and renabled google related apps.
To no avail...
Anyone experiencing the same issues?
I am trying to reinstall the Google (Search) app to see if that helps or not.
Not sure which version to install?
Google App 4.1.29.1706998.arm64
Google App 4.1.29.1706998.x86
Google App 4.1.29.1706998.arm

Google play crashing

Hello,
I have very strange problem :s
Ok, so let's start at the begining. I was using Viper ROM for like almost a year and everything was working great (devs tnx again for the ROM). Now i got new phone and give the m7 to my mom. I wiped the data in TWRP and restart the phone. Then i sign in google with her mail and start downloading apps. At first everything was OK but then second update for chrome come in and google play crashed. I also tried to install candy crush but after confirming permissions google play crashed. Then i installed sports tracker and it seems to be working until I started new workout - the app crashed. I also tried to install runtastic. App installed but after facebook log-in crashed... At this point I dont know whats happening to m7 :s
Things I already tried:
1) I wiped everything, reinstall the viper rom (again no success at the google play)
2) I flashed two other ROMs (crdoid - 6.01 and HD revolution 93) again google play was crashing and also sports tracker + runtastic (now I even tried 4 more sport tracking apps - all crashing :s)
3) Now im back at viper 9.0.0 FIX and google play still crashing.
If you have any ideas what this could be please let me know.
P.S. Some apps like evernote, es file manager, facebook... can install and they are working great without google play crash.
and also i tried fixes like this: http://forums.androidcentral.com/spr...i-pull-up.html
Only sport tracking app that works is google fit.
Hello,
having the same issue and can't find any solution.
Thank you for your help in advance!

Google app and Wear OS app are up-to-date, tried clearing cache and data, tried uninstalling and reinstalling, non fixed the issue.
Hope someone can help.

I had the same topic. To solve it I factory reset the watch twice and cleared cache and data for Google play services on the phone.

Wear OS tutorial keep showing

Hello, as I wrote on title, I can't go on with wear os tutorial. I'm going to explain my situation. I sent the watch to Asus for a warranty repair and when it comes back, it was on the stock wear os 2.0. I updated all apps through play store after setting up the watch and a wear os update was available (it was even before sending it to Asus and I used the update with no problems). A notification shows saying I should tap to update the clock. I did it and after the reboot, if I finish the Wear OS tutorial the clock seems working, but if I try to open the app wheel, it closes showing me again the tutorial. I tried to factory reset 3 or 4 times, but with no luck. What should I do?

@TheSura
#1: Uninstall the Wear OS app from your phone.
#2: Start all over again and do a system reset, the watch will tell you to
go to the plays store and install the Wear OS app using your phone when
your watch prompts you to do so and continue the setup on your watch.
Good luck, have a great day!
