Hi there! I really hope that you can help me!
during some day my mteor was in a friend. after that i pick up the phone, but now there is pin necessary to unblock. really strange, because I try almost everything and no way.
what can I do?
Ask your friend for the pin and next time don't borrow him your phone

!!!You will loose all data on the phone not on the card
i just purchased a 2nd hand"new" orange diamond (all sealed in plastic),
however its previous owner used a password to protect it...
now if i purchase the the sim unlock software will this solve the problem of the unknown password
an other problem is cannot synch on windows vista to unlock the phone....
its' saying its password protected...........(please enter password to procceed.......)

Maybe common sense, but why don't you contact the seller (the person/organisation where you bought your diamond) ??
He could probably tell you that....
That would be the best solution for you.....

It might help if you identify exactly which sim unlock software you speak of... Me, I don't know. I don't use Vista - nor sim unlock software for that matter...
Do a hard Reset its gonna do the job
and format the INF
i received the password now , but the phone is acting strange........
first it was saying that i entered the wrong password now it just does nothing when i press unlock please help................
as hard reset unfortunately i am finding it quite difficult instead it is performing a soft reset........................
even though ipress vol.up+enter+reset......................

hi try vol.down+enter+reset for a hard reset (note you will lose all data on your phone)

I'd second that.....otherwise everybody is able to erase a password from a phone that simple....just get a phone,erase it with hard reset and that's all.....It shouldn't be THAT simple??

Neways....good luck with your phone....if it's not gonna work, you just have to send it back I think and claim your money back.....
If hard reset doesn't work, flashing a new ROM certainly would. And try CT Version 6.2 HD ROM by the way. It is very good.
thanks folk for all your help the problem was solved finally , after a hard reset and purchasing the sim/cid unlock software from olipro creations...................
however for myself i found hard reset very difficult to achieve so that with some help (someone pressed the reset button for me ) during the proccedure the hard reset was successful..............................
previously i had the p3450 touch where h/ reset was simpler....................

I've got a big problem. I have Lumia 820 with product code 059P7P2 ex-test version and after failure update phone can't see my sim card and flight mode is still on (I can't switch). In Nokia Product Support Tool Sim Card is reading all the time. Someone know what I should do?

Did you buy your Lumia 820 second hand or new in the store? If you did buy the Lumia 820 second hand, the IMEI may be blacklisted, check this with your MO (Mobile Operator). If your IMEI is not blacklisted or you bought your Lumia 820 in a store, you can try to hard reset the device, to do a hard reset you need to follow this tutorial (WARNING : You'll lose all your data, so make a backup first and you may need to request an unlock from Microsoft if you get an error when re-adding your Microsoft account to your device) :
With the phone turned off.
Press and hold the power key until it vibrates.
after press and hold the down key volume till the exclamation mark will be shown on the screen, release the button and input this combination.
Volume Up > Volume Down > Power > Volume Down.

By performing "Factory Reset", all user data will be ERASED. You MUST backup PRIOR to running factory reset & Web update.
If your phone isn't responding
Do the following:

Well... I tried this metod few times, but no effets. In Nokia Care they said - it's legal phone but, they completly don't know how help me in "legal Nokia way", but maybe in good service someone help me.

Did you have already updated your Lumia 820 to the latest GDR update? Maybe this is a common issue with the first software version of the Nokia Lumia 820.
I update to amber and i tried developer metod to gdr 3.
Someone have one of the oldest software or link to download it? I can't find anyone version...

There is ask you a way to unlock a locked phone Nokia Lumia 925 without data loss. Access to the Microsoft account I have, but over the function to find my phone pin can not be changed.
The phone's got important company data and WhatsApp chat with clients that need backup, but to microsoft account don´t backup. If that were not so, I would have already done the hard reset.
