Hi guys
Im having a few issues installing this great looking ROM on my SGP;
when I go to install, it initially loads then says
e:short write of /tmp/sideload/package.zip (no space left on device)
e:cant unmount/sdcard
then even more confusingly it says;
install from sd card complete but nothing shows up
also Is it an absolute requirement for me to load this rom form stock rom? I initially had major issues with my stock rom on my phone as this is the main reason Im rooting, I would get freezes, crashing and bootlooping with the stock rom,
so I rooted initially with kitkat experience for SGP but now I want to load something that is later and more capable
is there any patches I should load first? or is there something I should do first, as I would like to not go back to stock due to the problems I keep having with it;
BTW I am in RSA and am using MTN in RSA
(not sure if I need to mention that)

I can only assume that you are trying to install the ROM on your SGP and it does not have enough room on the device to install correctly.
As for it saying that it has finished installing well that is cause it does not have an Exit clause for such an error (maybe due to you are not installing this on STOCK ROM) so it is running the script as it is supposed too as to where at the end of the script it will tell you that it has been installed but in your case as you see you have errors so that is incorrect.
As for installing on STOCK ROM: I have stated very clear that you must use a fresh clean install of the original STOCK ROM. Installing this over any other ROM aka Custom ROM most likely will not install correctly or not at all and you will have problems. I cannot help you in that case I am sorry.

Ok I understand, I will try to remove some pics and music from memory and try again and see how it goes
how much memory should I aim for to succesfully install this; any minimum requirement?
also how do you recommend I backup my phone? I got titanium backup, but Im not sure if that backs up everything I have on my phone;
Fast and feature rich ROM....but very congested and untidy
Currently using this ROM on my old GT 5300, the ROM is fast and feature rich with few bugs like beats audio crashing for me. But it is plagued with too many branding of DARK ORBIT and Icons look very clumsy and untidy. Sometimes i'm getting confused which icon is for what, all of them looks same. The lock screen is It couldve been clean as MIUI rom. I tried to install another version of HOLO launcher but failed. Please tell me how can i change the default icons...
Thanks & regards

Hi,
Thanks for your reply and voice on the DarkOrbit ROM. This ROM was not released to compete to other ROMs as stated on my OP I made this ROM for me and decided to release it here for others if they wish to use it.
I'm sorry you find all the icons may look the same to you but each has its own icon inside what is called Smoke and Glass Icon Pack very visible and easy to see what is what. My Icons are custom made and built in to the ROM you might be able to use a icon changer I have no idea as I have not tried any. Many of the icons have been made custom within the program them self so it would not be so easy.
As for the Beats Audio I'M not sure what the problem is there either or why it is crashing on your device but I can take pic's of my 4 personal owned GT-5300's and none crash and I have many other people as well using this ROM within the 1000's now and I have not one bug report on Beats Audio crashing from my own personal use or anyone else.
The Lock Screen or Screens as you state are all made from different coders many to which have been used in numerous ROM's well known throughout XDA not created or coded by me.
You cannot install a different version of Holo Launcher cause the main Launcher is Holo and any other version was not made to work with my ROM as everything is special coded to work together in my ROM that is the reason why it is called a Custom ROM.
Thanks for your comments and trying the DarkOrbit ROM.

wow, nothing than a Android 5.0.2 build renamed to 6.0. Why?
1st: at "about tablet", Marshmallow has a Android Security Patch information
2nd: Mashmallow has wifi network list in quick settings, similar to 5.1. yours doesn't have any.
3rd: if you look at "Android System" - app, you see version 5.0.2
4th: you can slide up the home key to open google search, which was removed in 6.0
5th: there is no multiwindow in developer settings (and NO, there is no hardware (power) missing for that)

The ROM works pretty well. Its fast and stable. I found 2 issues:
1) camera crashes always -> not working
2) audio and microphone only works after a headphone was plugged in once after every reboot
If these 2 issues are solved at some point, it will be my choice for daily use.
Btw. I flashed it with fastboot and TWRP. Fastboot seems to be the better way.

Thank you for using my rom
*the camera should work for taking pictures but for video it will crash but skype is fine and works perfectly
*audio and sound work on mine nexus 7 using the rom (i will look in to that and get it fixed in the next update
the next update will come out when android 6.0.1 will come out, if that dosnt work try using audio FX in the app drawer instead or using the scock equalizer instead if audio fx is turned on .
many thanks,
Ramon
Fast, Fluid, stable
been using the rom for a few hours now and it is the bae of roms
this guy did an amazing rom its really fast and stable , the only bug i have is that the camera app crashes when you try to video but skype works fine.
if you try to install the 6.0 gapps it will force crash and give you problems, just flash the 5.0.2 gapps witch work the best out of all of them, battery life has been amazing and it charges really quick. overall an amazing rom that should get way more attention and i am now using this as my daily rom and started to pick my nexus 7 up instaed of my nexus 9.
thanks alot you have bread new life into my old tablet.
many thanks ,

Kid, even if it would be that case, the app "android system"'s version would be 6.0. You just built android 5, and setting its version code to 6.0 and adding the new boot animation in 2nd zip. Also, in build.prop, you have api version 21 and build fingerprint is also LRX21P / 5.0. Don't think I'm an idiot.
Or tell me why all those features aren't working in your ROM, but in real Marshmallow port by dmitrygr they do work.
Must have rom!!
This rom is epic,
i have a nexus 7 and this is amazing makes it so fast, the lollipop update made it so slow it was sh*t, BUT THIS(is amazing ) ,it fast, stable and the new features
are the best, battery life is really good and the animations are always flowing at 30fps, ram usage is really low and so is cpu usage.
BEST ROM EVER, MUST HAVE IF YOU OWN NEXUS 7
Jerry:good:
Hello guys,i"m here for the review of beanstalk rom.
The rom runs on android marshmallow 6.0.1 [dec 1,2016 security patch]
its based on many roms but its main contributor is cyanogen.
Now lets talk about the pros and cons
pros:
1.runs on marshmallow latest.
2.best battery performer till now compared to other android m based roms.
3.has root option in the developers option.
4.all cm themes runs without any lags.
5.stock android experience and quite fast.
6.the fastest camera capture in this rom than any other.
7.storage is good but we can accept this much in 4GB
internal storage devices.
These are the pros now cons
cons:
1.you have to use banks gapps no other gapps will work if u install any other than your phone will stuck on bootanimation.
2.except bootanimation.zip no other zips can be installed like supersu.zip if u try then again it will stuck on boot.
3.front camera function in the roms camera app sometimes never work even after rebooting ur device.
4.the developer of this rom has named the device name as "**** you".which isnt good when you have a windows 10 pc like i am having once plugged cortana will say "**** you connected ".so i think i should inform it .[it can be changed using buildprop. editor so not a big deal]
5.you should not turn off the developer option if did then no way to get it back even clicking the build number several times which means say bye to root.
6.you can't hide your lockscreen pattern.
So guys these are the pros and cons of beanstalk rom
i will end up saying that the rom is preety good and fast but it is not the best, it will be the best if you use it carefully because one mistake like switching off the developers option will cost you to reinstall the rom.
All the questions are welcomed and so plz make a visit to it. Plz give a thumbs up .so have a nice day.
plz do visit the video review for detail description https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1am3cYTEH2AMFpiTGY1cldmbWc
Sorry for late screenshots
Here stock theme is used.
Nova launcher with polycon and glim lite icons.
Wallapers are from android wallpaper cummunity google plus
You can edit the build.prop to remove the "**** you" from device model.
yes bro thanks i have done it and it works nut you have to work hard i have done a review with video i will place the url so plz check it out https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1am3cYTEH2AMFpiTGY1cldmbWc

Lineage 14.1 by Meticulus
As of today February 12 XDA Developer Meticulus released his fifth alpha version of Lineage 14.1 based on Google's Nougat 7.1.1 mobile operating system.
For an alpha this version of the OS is very stable with only a few drawbacks namely no
WIFI Hotspot
USB Tethering
Bluetooth Tethering
SELinux
I am running this as my daily driver since the first iteration of his (Meticulus) ROM and find it more stable as the available beta version of Huawei's own Nougat based Emui 5.0. As of February 12 Live display has been fixed and doesn't lag the UI anymore, even though I personally never had this issue. My phone is the L-31 version with 3gb of RAM fyi.
Battery live is as good as it gets. I am getting a day and a half with moderate use out of it what is amazing considering I got barely a full day with minimal use out of Huawei's unmodified stock firmware. Being not bogged down by all the bells and whistles that come with Emui 4.1 does wonders.
Out of the gate Lineage is as bare bone as it gets and a dream for every theme artist out there. As always with Custom Roms that come without the usual Google apps
http://opengapps.org is your friend. Meticulus recommended the nano version if you like to flash dirty, saying that I am running Lineage fully modified as a Google Pixel Phone and had no problem updating to his most recent build.
Speed is great, using my phone to play games like Lord of the Fallen, Fire Emblem, Various Emulators is a pure pleasure. Internet is fast and responsive. Phone calls and texting work as should. (Does report a very weak signal where I had full "lines" normally, but Meticulus stated on his webpage that this might be only reported back wrong to the system and not actually be an issue.) RAM management is great especially compared to the stock OS from Huawei. Camera is still slightly bugged as some users have issue with snap apps. The camera app provide with the last update works reliable enough, but can force close from time to time if overused.Picture quality is fine for my day to day use, put I didn't compare the Huawei stock picture quality with Meticulus build one. I found the open camera app from the play store slightly more reliable. All issues aside this is great work from Meticulus who has provided us with another great custom build ROM for the P9 lite.

Where did you get your themes sir?
Never used dual sim, have a 128gb Mem stick in it. Also not using any theme is stock Pixel launcher with Pixel icons installed via open Gapps, used aroma installer to get everything done, was quite tricky as the installer is heavily bugged under Meticulus TWRP ...

Meticulus raged because people kept asking him the same thing over and over again. His work was send everywhere else without his permission.
The whole thing with "donation" was an optional thing.
It was like: Hey! Want me to update or work at X rom for Y phone? Donation please."
Meticulus was indeed a bit "childish". I could at least help him with the roms (anti distribution and so on.)
I think that,
If you make it for yourself, then you share. Donation is welcomed.
If s.o akes you to do s.t, then you ask for rewarding sooner or later or just stop it.
S.o had paid him the downloaded rom then got it. They have no point to ask for more roms as they only paid for what they got. It is obviously.
Hello everyone,
I've been thinking and closely watching the evolution of this phone... As things stand, i don't see any interest from devs in Red Magic 3
Im thinking in selling the phone before it starts to loose its value
What are your thoughts ?

Before you get a device, look at their previous history on xda, namely development , previous Nubia red devices didn't get a lot of love.. Most people jumped on OnePlus and pixel, or even the Poco.
I believe there will be ROMs but there don't be a huge amount and little problems that require a lot of work will probably remain.
Great device but not a lot of Devs will dive in I don't think..
Hopefully it'll explode and there will be tonnes of ROMs but I doubt it unfortunately.
Saying that, what about GSI's? Is it treble compatible? They could be your saving grace.
It's a gamble.
Trying to build one.
I am trying to build a lineage rom , need to build TWRP(almost done with it, need to test though) first as the current TWRP only supports CN ROM, the source code they have given on GIT is not so compatible for building custom ROMs, if all goes well I will be releasing it soon.

Hello everyone,
I've been thinking and closely watching the evolution of this phone... As things stand, i don't see any interest from devs in Red Magic 3
Im thinking in selling the phone before it starts to loose its value
What are your thoughts ?

What do you want in a custom rom?
I see pure Android as a blessing.

The current EU / NA Rom has a lot of missing features and bugs. Would be nice to have auto brightness, customization for home screen for the icons 5 x 6 / 4 x 7 and so on, a flat audio equalizer, custom Kernel with Battery and Performance optimization and so on

Auto brightness - exists in Pie.
Home screen customization - download a launcher.
Audio equalizer - you got me there.
Custom Kernel with Battery and Performance - you already have it, kid - BATTERY and PERFORMANCE!

Yeah, I'm starting to question some of the things people say...

Yea potentially, if twrp isn't capable of wiping. Then you'll need to do the following.
Make a back up to your computer !!!!
Also if decryption isn't working.
Install twrp.
Push or copy the ROM to the phone .
Root of SD if you can read it.
If you can't decrypt then push to /tmp
Wipe anyway in twrp and then flash the ROM. (GSI IMG)
Then flash the stock recovery and wipe / factory reset in stock recovery.
Boot the IMG, if it doesn't boot after the stock wipe, flash twrp and push / copy the ROM to SD / /tmp
Then flash , it should boot.

If you are starting to question the question you should leave your excitement and start analyzing the phone in a more detailed manner.... Reading your comment made me write to you in a more detailed manner....
So let us begin:
-> The Auto Brightness works and does not work, there are so many times were it does not, so basically you don't have that option
-> The phone has random freezes or reboots from time to time, even if i'm on NA lastest build, no root, bootloader locked in order to sell the phone, last night it gave me some concerns when i tried to wake it up via fingerprint and it would not, i hat to restart it via Power Button and Vol Down to enter bootloader menu
-> The camera takes pictures like my ex Note 3, it should have a better sensor than mid range phones, would be cool to have a camera apk that's optimized for this device
-> Performance degradation over time, i noticed the device starting to run a little laggy before reset, now it's ok for the moment, we need a better kernel with working features like battery stand by, performance when needed and so on
-> Why should i install junk apps to have a simple customization app drawer ? This was the issue to begging with about LAG
-> Lastly, yes, we need a custom rom were people contribute with feedback of the software and constantly improve over time, if i struggle to think a little bit, i can come up with at least 3-4 more issues with this device,

It's the one Google built in. So, if you have an issue, it's with them, and every phone that uses it.

That's an issue as of your actions. You can't blame a device for your choices.

Because... it's a gaming phone and if it doesn't have a perfect camera, it shouldn't be titled as such?

Probably because you're wanting something custom... hence the description. Custom wouldn't be a default. Otherwise it wouldn't be custom.
