I've been out of the rom game for awhile now. I am rocking a Note 4 that I got day it came out which has NIH baseband on it. I am now downloading N910TUVU2DOK2_N910TTMB2DOK2_TMB firmware. Do I need to download bootloader for this? If so where do I get it from ? I know I need to use latest ODIN for this which I have 3.10.7. Anything else I should or need to do? thanks
Be aware that once you go to 5.1.1 you can't go back to kit Kat 4.4.4, which if you want to use exposed is the best imho. No need to worry about base bands it's all included in the Odin package.

Please forgive me if this question is one which has been asked a lot; I've searched around but I'm finding a lot of conflicting information.
Exactly how do you safely flash from stock ICS (4.0.0.4; unrooted) to a new rom (for example, I'm looking at going to a CM10 rom)?
Some guides seem to say:
1) Flash a safe kernel using ODIN (I was looking at Hydrocore)
2) Flash back to a pre-rooted gingerbread rom using ODIN (e.g http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1535025)
3) Flash the rom you're interested in using ODIN
Or perhaps I only need to do steps 1 & 3?
Thanks!
You need to do the 1st and 3rd steps.

Also once you have flashed a safe kernel you can flash the new ROM in recovery.

I upgraded my phone to version 4.0.3, after that I can not lock my screen and my power button does not give me options when I press the power button my phone off immediately, went searching and found that I need to put a file in the efs using root explorer app, the problem is that I can not find this file named "keyrts" where I find this file? Have a site to download? I'm Brazilian, my english is a little bad, I'm using the google translator, I am awaiting some help, thank you all.
My phone is a Galaxy Note GT-N7000 with 4.0.3!
Just ref lash your ROM from a safe kernel (ie, Hydra core or philz) and do a factory reset while still on a safe kernel
It isn't worth the time troubleshooting for you.

Be sure you understand about the brick bug before you flash anything....
If you want to install a safe kernel now like philz you can just try factory reset from recovery before flashing anything and see if it helps...

I can install the same ROM over this already installed? It will not give any problem?
If you are on a safe kernel it is OK... I wouldn't do anything without being on a safe kernel

1. Xxlsa is not a stock rom. It's a leak. 4.0.4 is a stock rom
2. If it's running xxlsa it could be root d as well. Can check by installing root checker or if super user or supersu is there.
3. Is cwm already there.?
1. I have the International version of GT-N7000
2. All official until I manually updated to XXLSA JB 4.1.2 using Odin (I cant wait for official to come via OTA thats why)
3. Now I cant use Kies as it says it dont recognize it (you know what i mean)
4. I dont care about kies enyway.
My question is, can I,
1. Let say remove this XXLSA ROM and go back to Stock (i think its ICS or something)
2. Then I will try to update it via OTA again. where in I'll be getting the Official JB then.
3 I just want to go back all official ROM again thats it.
anyone...please help....

I put the link in my post. Download the stock firmware for region and flash in Odin. Click on the link that I gave you, and read very carefully on how to do this and you will be fine.

YES, if you flash back to stock ICS, you will get official OTA again. You can also visit sammobile.com and download and flash stock JB 4.1.2 which is now available for almost every region. This will put u on stock rom and do not root if you want to get OTA update.
If I helped you please press "Thanks", and if you helped I will do the same

Actually, you can root your phone and still receive OTA updates, as long as you don't flash a custom kernel/recovery.

i checked sammobile and its surprising that all versions of my Stock ROM are from GERMANY, even though i bought my phone here in United Arab Emirates, there i saw N7000XXLPY >N7000XXLRG>N7000XXLRK>N7000XXLRQ>N7000XXLRT>N7000XXLSA which i remember all my previous ROMs and the latest one is N7000XXLSZ which im downloading now.
should i use the old version of Odin I have or it should be the latest one?

Just updated.. No perceptible change in lag till now. Battery Drain similar to 5.0.1.. But it's only been 3 hours will update later if there is any change. This seems like stage fright update.. Like the one in S5. That too was around 100 megs

I tried flashing the stock N910F 5.1.1 rom onto my N910G via Odin and it fails at (AUTH). It doesn't brick the phone as I simply pulled out the battery, powered on my phone and started up as normal.
I don't see what the difference is, because when I extract the N910F Rom, the contents and file sizes are exactly the same as the N910G Rom.
I guess we'll just have to wait for an official N910G or for those who don't want to wait can install TWRP and get custom Rom.
Getting 5.1.1 now
Just did a manual check for update and 5.1.1. Us available for download OTA. Gonna install now and see how it goes.
Update: Installed the update, went smoothly. Phone it definitely faster and smoother. Barely any lag now. Some games have taken a quality hit but I think its a bug they said they'll fix.
N910G 5.1.1 Australian update available
Confirming I received a notification last night (06/10) on my phone, unlocked Australian N910G, 5.1.1 update N910GDTU1COH4, a few variants of the 5.1.1 N910G firmware (telstra/optus/voda/unbranded) are available on Sammobile as well if you're not getting OTA updates.
When i downgrade my galaxy note 4 n910g lolipop to kitkat than cant show 4g lte option in mobile network.
