Hey,
I installed 4.2.2 using RDSLite without having an unlocked bootloader/root access following this guide(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2446515).
I installed an 4.2.2 AT&T rom on my phone(my phone is an at&t phone), and now I can't use OTA updates without an infinite loop cycle, and previously I could boot into recovery but now cannot. I was able to stop the infinite reboot by clearing my cache in fastboot. Did I accidentally delete my recovery, or the rom I use not come with recovery?
I am able to boot into fastboot but can't start recovery, the phone just reboots normally.
Thanks for your help.
EDIT:: So I solved the problem, I re-installed the rom. But after rooting and doing the OTA update, I now have a verizon boot spash logo after the animation. I'm not sure why. I'm on AT&T with att apps. It's kind of annoying.
Anyone else deal with this?
Hello I'm using Moto G 2014(XT1068) . Few days ago I flashed CM12.1 on my device. Yesterday my device just got lagged and I had to switch it off to get it into working condition again. But when I turned it on the device was stuck at the boot loader and never went further ahead of it. When I asked my colleague about it he said that my boot loader just crashed and it won't turn up now. Today I flashed my phone with 4.4.4 and it turned on luckily. So I decided to see if I can root my device again and load CM in it when I did that my phone just got bricked and I had to flash it up using 4.4.4 and updating it to 5.0.2. Now I can't flash CM on my device..please help. Please help me with my boot loader issue
First of all, always make backups before doing this kind of things.
Tried rooting and installing custom recovery again?
Boot into bootloader by switching off the phone and then press Volume Down + Power Button and note down your bootloader version.
CM12.1 ROMS need an updated bootloader else it wont flash in TWRP.
Update your bootloader from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/general/bootloader-update-t3060007
and then try flashing the CM12.1 ROM.
Before updating the bootloader I suggest you backup your 4.4.4 Stock ROM via TWRP and then proceed.
I have a Moto X 2014 Pure that I was trying to root. I said to myself, why not install TWRP? So I flashed TWRP, it gave me 'mismatched partition sizes (recovery)', but according to some other sources, that was normal. I tried to reboot into recovery, it gave me the stock recovery. I said, huh, weird, I'll flash it again. And after that, I was unable to get into recovery at all. Bootloader still works, and the phone can still boot normally, it just appears that the recovery is GONE. If I select "Recovery" from bootloader, it just turns off (seems to at least). I am running Marshmallow 6.0 on the Moto X, and I'm having a hard time finding a stock recovery for it. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

The mismatch is normal because you're flashing a non-stock recovery. Are you using only the volume rocker in bootloader mode? Is your bootloader unlocked?
Get stock firmware from here:
https://firmware.center:8081/firmware/Motorola/
Make sure you don't downgrade.
I am only using the volume rocker in bootloader, which is unlock. I managed to root my phone by temporarily booting into TWRP and installing the ZIP files. However, I still don't seem to have a recovery. At this point, I really don't need one, but I will try that firmware.
So my Moto X was working fine. I decided to go and flash the stock firmware onto it. I dont know what happened but my moto x wont start and will cause a bootloop. I know that it starts and then tries to get into the recovery but fails and then reboots. I tried going to the recovery and found out that it shows the android logo and reboots. Meaning the recovery is broken or something. I can still flash files. So i flashed the same and different firmwares but none seem to work. So I decided to flash twrp. TWRP boots up and works no problem. Just think something messed my Moto X up. Any suggestions on what i can do?
Did you flash a related stock kernel (boot.img) with stock firmware too?
A bootloop after android logo at startup is often caused by (wrong) kernel!
My moto g3 1550 stuck on bootloop with massage warning bootloader unlocked:crying::crying:
It was happen when I was trying to flash twrp it's successfully flashed but after it was stuck on this bootloop
I tried to flash stock firmware with adb but there I got some errors which are pre flasg image validation failed
So I am not able to do anything now.
Please help otians.
I am still able to access that flahed twrp.
