I have made a list of applications I've frozen without causing problems for my tablet.
If you also find applications which are safe to remove (which you actually did test them) from the ROM, post them here and I will add them to the list.
Please post as complete as possible, so with the app name, lost functionality and so on.
Removing apps from your tablet system is at your own risk.
List P3113
I remove over 30+ things from most ROM's I flash with Titanium Backup.
I would like to see this list for Stock 7", Stock 10", AOKP on both and CM9 on both. Could make a really useful thread.
Next time I flash mine I'll make a list for AOKP/7".
I just saw this topic and thought -- exactly what I am looking for, unfortunately the link returns a 404 Not Found Error
I'm sorry about that.
For the time being I have made a solution through Dropbox, so you can click again and download the file.
Fixed!
The original link is working again so now you got two options.
umm.. newbie here, how to remove those app? coz i actually can't just simply uninstall them.
P5113
Any list available for the GT2 P5113?

You need rootaccess/administrative permissions and apps like titanium backup or rootexplorer.

If you go to Settings > Applications > All you can find various apps and disable them, which is basically the same as removing them (They disappear from your device completely except for this screen) but allows you to restore them at any time if they are needed for something.

I ordered a Tab 2 7.0 (P3113) Yesterday.
And i Downloaded the list so i can edit it. I will update the list with the apps i try removing, as soon as i get the stock rom rooted. I guess I'll have it by saturday =)
What ROM did you try this on? was it the stock one?

Thank you for your coorporation! Yes, the base is stock. Stock P5110.
OK. Then i will only root and try removing apps, before i start flashing.
I might even get it tomorrow, but i can't promise anything yet.
And as I'm new to this whole Odin thingy I must read a bit more about it to get the Tab rooted correctly.
But since i got some experience rooting HTC and Motorola devices I figure it'll be quick work=)
I'll upload the edited .xls when I'm done =)
After going through the list as i was testing apps i realized a few things.
1. The apps that are safe to remove on the P5110 are all safe to remove on the P3113
2. What apps are on the Tab2 differce from country to country.
3. Root uninstaller is not a 100% stable App.
With this i have to say, for P3113 Users, look at the list of the P5110. Because to me, at least, the P3113 list will look exactly the same as the P5110 List. Except for some apps that the P5110 have that i dont have, and the other way around.
I've adde the updated -xls, But tbh it just looks like a copy-paste of the P5110.
What about on the P5113?
Well. We would someone with the P5113 to test it.

1. Yes, I thought that as well. I think that the firmware of the various models, don't differ that much because I noticed my wifi device has a lot off apps necessary for phone abilities, thus the base of the stock ROM's are the 3G firmware.
2. I don't know exactly. I immediately noticed in your list a Kindle app that I didn't encounter in my ROM, but I haven't start with a thorough comparison.
My P5110 ROM contains 159 system apps. How many count yours?
3. I recommend Titanium Backup and Rootexplorer for freezing and removing. Those apps do the trick for me.
My stock rom had 155 or 156, I don't remember.
I've flashed my Tab2 with CM9.

Recently there's some request for SNS Integration in Samsung Galaxy Y Duos GT-S6102 Contacts,
and Samsung Social Hub that some Custom ROM for our phone didn't yet support.
And I've been searching too for Twitter and Facebook Integration, that stock ROM supports.
So I revert to stock ROM, copy my framework files and deodexed it myself
After I deodexed it, I used Millan.SIS gtalk.zip to make my own flashable files

Nope, it doesn't. If you want just backup samsung apps via titanium backup when you're on stock rom,
then restore it, because it's already deodexed..

Just add apps.... no need to modify anything.....
Don't remove apps which you dont know in system / app.... there is a thread regarding apps that can be removed.....
Tip : you should check "how to create ROM" threads where basic q are explained clearly.... there are 100 of thread regarding this...

I know not to remove apps that I don't know, but I just remove the ones I don't need/want. I just wanted to make sure so I can integrate ad-blocking and Cerberus and make a few market apps default system apps. Thanks for the reply!
EDIT: ****ed something up. Too late tonight... bed time, maybe tinker a bit in the morning and hopefully get it to work.
For those who want to have Samsung Bloatware on Custom ROMs, I uploaded these on my Dropbox account.
ODEXED APPS (XXLI1 firmware)
ODEXED FRAMEWORK (XXMD1 firmware)
ODEXED APPS (XXLD3 firmware) Thanks to bittertruth277
These Apps are odexed. This means you will need to download the .odex file which has the same name as the app too (Odexed apps give you better Performance, Faster boot and more battery life but they are very difficult to modify).
DEODEXED APPS + Superuser.apk (XXMC1 firmware)
These apps are deodexed. This means you only need to download the .apk (Deodexed apps have the opposite properties of Odexed apps).
How to install an app as System app
1. Goto /system/app
2. Place the .apk (and the .odex) there
3. Now set both the permission rw-r-r
4. Now reboot and you're done
Another Stuff from Stock ROM
Stock Ringtones

You beat me to it! Where were you when I needed you?
Hello All. This is my first post so please forgive any lapses in protocol. I am a complete noob. To tell you the truth, I am still reeling from watching that sign up video. Man that is VERY INTIMIDATING.
Anyway, I only signed up to firstly thank all the people who contribute to this wonderful site (I have referenced it many times over the last few months and learnt 'alot' as a result) and secondly to try and give something back to the community. Specifically, I was going to ask permission to upload stock apk's for the Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830i with Gingerbread 2.3.6 (especially the browser which I know are difficult to find). However, the OP definitely beat me to it.
It's quite funny but I wish I had found this post a few days ago when I was looking for the stock browser apk files for my own phone. I was a bit careless with titanium backup and ended up deleting alot of bloatware and the browser. I kept getting through to the 2.3.4 thread and can confirm they didn't work with the 2.3.6 version.
I have noticed that you reference XXLD1 build. Mine shows as XXLD2 so I don't know if that means my files will be different or the same.
FYI, I am in the UK and on the TESCO MOBILE network. I think it shares it's infrastructure with O2. If any body does need files please say and I will try to upload them (I have to learn how to, first).

You all see? That's what i call a newbie, and not a noob. You are not a noob. A noob asks tons of times questions that were already answered. Welcome to Xda, i say. I hope you contribute a lot for this forum, as well as i hope you find this forum useful. For uploading your files, try Dropbox or Mediafire (i think Dropbox is easier to use). Files from other stock are LIKELY not to work on your stock, as well as they may work, though. And if it doesn't works, why don't you upload your apk's? They might be useful to another user. Again, welcome to XDA.
Ps.: my reaction to that video was the same.

XXLD2 apps?
Are there any stock apk/odex files for the 2.3.6 S5830iXXLD2?
Or are any of these compatable? i accidentally deleted some of the stock apps, and now i can't update via Play store. I also get a lot of errors that some proccesses can't start or crashed. I tried factory reset, but i guess once the stock stuff is deleted.. it's deleted for good.

CAUTION!! This ROM is mostly made for developers and people interested in developing for Samsung Gear Live. I take no responsabilities for possible damages to your device.
Hi everyone.
I open a new thread here in General because I have not enough posts for posting in Development, and I don't want to spam other threads only for posting there. Moderators can move this if they want.
We have here the first Custom ROM for Samsung Gear Live: OctamodWear
Currently we have very few new features, but this is only the beginning.
Features
- OctamodWear 0.2
- KMV78Y based
- Fully deodexed
- Root
- Busybox
- WearControl, the system management app. Reboot2Recovery is gone; install WearControl from PlayStore to ensure you always have the latest version: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=octathorp.wearcontrol
- ES File Explorer and Quick System Info preinstalled
- OctamodWear 0.1
- KMV78X based
- Root
- Busybox
- Reboot2Recovery, it's an app made by me that let you reboot in recovery mode (interesting for use with custom recoveries).
- ES File Explorer and Quick System Info preinstalled (mainly, for developing purposes. I included them because it was a pain to install again with each data-wipe during tests).
Important
- Superuser permissions (root) are enabled by default, without Superuser or similar app. So, whatever app that you install and require root permissions will obtain them. That's due to the fact that there is no Superuser app for Android Wear yet.
- We need unlocked bootloader in order to be able to install the ROM (fastboot oem unlock).
- This system (Android Wear) is still very recent, and there are many things we don't know, despite its similarities with Android.
Work-in-progress...
- Get a better battery consumption.
- Improve performance
- Other things I have not thought about yet
Installation
If you don't have unlocked bootloader, follow this steps:
- Connect using ADB and run "adb reboot bootloader"
- In the bootloader screen, run "fastboot oem unlock". Warning!! This will wipe the device.
- Once you have unlocked the bootloader, the next step is to flash the provided system.img, using "fastboot flash system system_octamodWear.img"
- Done!

I will try to help you if you need it, but please, there are a lot of pages on the web where you can get information about ADB drivers or bootloader unlocking effects, so please, use Google.
Furthermore, I don't have much free time due to work and personal life, so this ROM will not have a very fast development. My main purpose is to give people something they can start working with, and make a great development community.
Enjoy it!

Hey @octathorp I just received an update a couple days ago and did it... I assume the update would not be compatible with this ROM, or can I still install this ROM? Thanks!
Update is KMV78Y by the way.
Hi.
I have not received the update yet, so i don't really know. It should work well, because this is only system.img, but i'm gonna update the base rom as soon as I receive the update.
One thing i forgot to post some days ago... I've made an app that lets you reboot your device into recovery or bootloader, as well as changing CPU governors. It's Reboot2Recovery replacement, and it will be included in next release. Meanwhile, you can get the app from Play Store, searching "WearControl" (sorry i cannot post links yet).
I'll update the OP.

Return to Stock?
What would be the best way to return to stock? My guess would be to flash the system img that Adam Outler posted but want to make sure that I'm correct. I got excited and flashed this without backing up on TWRP first.
Hey is it possible to put the ROM in flashable form for TWRP?! Would make it much easier to install

Battery life should be the same as stock, as there are no power optimizations yet, but you could try WearControl with powersave mode instead.
