I have the HDMI docking station and it has a removable sleeve so that the extended battery or a case can be on the phone while docking. Does the standard case have the same capabilty?
I have a cheap ebay TPU case and it fits perfectly in there with the sleeve removed.
Not sure if you meant standard case or standard dock, but yes, the standard dock does have the removable insert for working with a case on the phone. Now all we need is a decent hard case that will actually fit in the docks... I'm not a huge fan of the silicone cases and I didn't have much luck with the incipio or the shell/holster fitting the car dock I'm sure they'll be coming soon enough.

I hate silicon cases also, have you ever tried TPU? Verizon sells one that they call High Gloss Silicon but it is a very firm molded case and nothing like silicon.

It is fit but no connection to charge the phone. I have tried TPU case in car dock and standard dock but both have problems with connection.
I have the shell/holster and I can get it to charge in the standard dock but the dock app will not launch. I usually just pop the shell off and let it charge that way at night. I do have the extended battery but the shell already accommodates that so it doesn't make a difference for the dock.
Side note: The audio output of the standard dock seems to work through the USB of the Bionic, it's not as loud as the headphone jack tho.

I have the shell/holster case also and it does fit and the dock apps do launch. There is a plastic filler that has to be removed in order to make the proper connection. This is a much better design from Moto than on the DX.

Hello,
I'm most definitely buying a Nexus 10 this weekend. What are the best accessories for it?
Most importantly I am looking for a dock/kickstand and a case. Can you people recommend any?
Thanks,
Crazysah
http://www.amazon.com/IPAD-ST-Universal-Tablet-Stand-Kindle/dp/B0045JNBNU is a pretty nice basic stand that works fine.
Any other recommended accessories out there?
The Moko Slim-Fit (note, NOT ultraslim) is a great case with the ability to act as a kickstand at multiple angles.

+1 for the Poetic Hardback. I have a smart cover and a silicon case, but keep going back to the Hardback.
I would also recommend getting a POGO cable. Some question the price/value, but at this point it is the only option and I have found it quite useful in terms of somewhat faster charging and less wear on the micro usb port.
If you use screen protectors, you can just leave the one on that it ships with unless you want an anti-glare protector.
Get the SGP screen protector. Absolutely beautiful.

I've heard a lot about the Moko Slim-Fit versus the Poetic Hardback? Not exactly sure which is better.
So that is for the case. Both have kickstands right? So no need for a dock then?
And the POGO cable, yes, I'll get it.
Anything else I should for?

There are no true docks available for this device yet that I am aware of.
The Hardback case can be configured to prop the tablet open to several angles with the top cover laying flat in front of the screen. That might work differently than what some people think of as a kickstand, which to me is something that opens from the back to prop the tablet up and nothing lies in front of the screen. The problem with either style is that the POGO connector is on the bottom, so you might end up using the micro usb for power or maybe flip the screen upside down in the case, but then the power and volume buttons are on the bottom and you have the POGO connector sticking out on top. We really want a true dock for this soon...
Okay. The only question now is, The Moko Slim-Fit or the Poetic Hardback?
Why the poetic have that ugly cross on it ... Little macabre

I have the moko slim-fit, here's a quick run-down:
It's quite a good looking case, with various different colour options (I took orange). The PU material did not come stinking of catpiss, is very well made and shows no signs of wear after some use.
It has magnets that wake/sleep the screen and it can prop the tablet up at various angles.
It has a really nice microfiber interior, which will never scratch the screen and feels pleasant to the touch.
All the ports are exposed and easily accessible, as well as the buttons (this is not true for the poetic).
I also read that the corners on some peoples' poetic cases would crack.
Those are pretty much the reasons why I bought the Moko and I am more than pleased with it. Excellent case.

I would say the exact same thing about mine. It is a great feeling case especially when opened with the lid behind. It also has the little elastic to hold it fully open as well as the hand slip which I use at work all the time

Ok, so I have my brand new G2. Looking at cases, but have to be cautious because I plan to pick up a QI charging pad very soon. How thick is too thick? This is a VZW phone by the way.
I'm looking at the two piece snap together cases on ebay like this: LINK
Reason being is I plan to cover the case in white 3M Di-Noc (carbon fiber pattern).
Thoughts? Recommendations on a thin hard case that covers all four corners and edges that won't block the inductive charging?
Wife and I both have the Verizon G2 and we both have cases. I have the Incipio Feather and she has the Diztronic tpu case. Both phones charge just fine on two different qi chargers(Nokia dt-910 and LG wcp-300).

I am very impressed with the fit and quality of the Puregear Case. Also if you enter Pure50 in the coupon code spot its 50% off bringing it to like $12.50 shipped. I wrapped the clear portion of mine with carbon vinyl as well.
http://www.pure-gear.com/slim-shell-case-for-lg-g2.html
Also for wireless charging I am very impressed with the Tylt Vu. Have them around my house for my G2, my Nexus 7 and my Droid Maxx. It works flawlessly on each of them and places them at an angle so you can see them. Hope that helps a little.

You don't have to worry about that case you linked as it seems it's pretty thin; judging from the back shot, it looks to be as thick as my Diztronic case and that charges fine with Qi chargers. With that said, the Diztronic is only like 10 bucks and it's a well-made case. Though, that ebay one is cheaper and it wouldn't hurt to try it out. I tend to change cases/screen protectors a lot until I find one that I like, and the money spent really isn't an issue for me as long as it makes me happy.
I heard somewhere that you have a few CM's on clearance for the Qi charging to work, and I doubt that a case would be that thick unless you got some Otterbox or something.
I have the Incipio DualPro and wireless charging works fine on the Nokia DT-900 (picked up a few when they were on sale at AT&T).
My G2 will.charge through a magazine. As long as it's not metal you should be fine.

as the thread basically says it all, I'm looking for a case that will work with QI wireless charging for the G4. i like the spigen stuff but it doesn't appear to work...
I have been using the newisdom upgraded chip and tylt vu charger combo and havent had any problems charging with the spigen neo-hybrid, verus thor and urban armor gear cases.
The Spigen Air Cushion Slim Armor case works with the NeWisdom upgraded Qi chip without any issues with my CHOE Stadium Qi Wireless Charger.
The Diztronic matte TPU case works too

I've got the Spigen Slim Armor case, with a generic wireless sticker and have no issues with wireless charging with either my Itian 3 coil charger or generic puck.
Youd have better answers to the question, "which dont don't work with qi".
Because most will

Interesting. I have the Diztronic case you're talking about and the same charger, but a Yootech receiver. It works fine without the case but won't charge with the case. I've also tried the first version of the Samsung charging pad and it's the same result so I guess I can call it the receiver.

I have no problems using the CHOE Stadium Qi Wireless Charger with the Diztronic case either. I purchased my QI wireless sticker from ebay. Shipped from china or something, not sure on brand.
Any leather back-cover (like the original one) that works with QI charging WITHOUT needing to make the "sticker modification" to the shell?
If not, what is in Your opinion the best wireless QI charging sticker for LG G4?
Thx!

this combo did NOT work: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NWMI07S with http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00V51QOXA. its VERY finiky
I have the Spigen LG G4 Neo Hybrid Case - works perfectly with a wireless charging back ... charges quick and doesn't heat up.

As far as I know there is no official leather cover with qi. Nevertheless you can buy some from china with attached sticker.
I've attached a sticker on my own leather cover and it worked approx. 2 days perfect. But since then no connection and I wasn't able to fix.
Qi charging lg g4
I just cut the front door off a quick circle case and put g4 in a bumper case. Works fine. Better than messing with qi stickers
i got one of these..... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151745479...49&var=450942342923&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT works perfect surprisingly and only £7
I have a Otter Commuter case https://www.amazon.com/OtterBox-Com...8&qid=1464832541&sr=8-4&keywords=otter+box+g4 works fine and very heavy duty, dropped many times with no problem for phone. 2 pieces.
Wondering if either a Spiegen Ultra Hybrid or Otterbox Extender case interfere with wireless charging on the Note 9.
i had the spiegen on mine, worked ok with the wireless charging.
How about wireless charging with the Samsung Rugged Protective Cover?
I'm thinking about getting a nav dock with built in wireless charging.

This video from MobileFun shows it working with the OEM Samsung QI Wireless cheager:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KyGlzgWr82c
I've tried both a leather wallet case (3mm) and a hybrid (5mm plastic) and they both fast charge with Samsung pad and factory fast charger. Not pushing Samsung but that's what I have! I actually like an IQ std 7w for most charging during the day (less heat)
Assuming you mean the Ottorbox Defender? Wireless charging works with all Ottorbox cases.
Yes, I did mean extender. Good old AutoCorrect never fails.
Found this
https://www.mobilefun.com/samsung/galaxy-note-9/cases/wireless-charging-compatible-cases
I stuck the phone and a 7-8mm abs sheet on both my Samsung and Ankler charging pads and got the same charge rate notifications ?
I use the Samsung Rugged Protective Cover with a couple of inexpensive dock-style vertical wireless chargers and have no problems. However, the inexpensive automobile dock with wireless charging did not work. I hope this helps.
this is highly dependant on the qi charging mat.
Ok, I got my hands on a wireless charger and tested the following cases. All achieved fast charging with screen off only. What an odd limitation to purposely build in. I was testing in order to see if a wireless charging nav dock is an option, but with no fast charge with screen on, the idea is pointless.
UAG Monarch
Spigen Tough Armor
Spigen clear TPU (I forget the name, it's the one that's flexible)
Rhinoshield Solid Suit
Samsung Silicone Cover
Samsung Rugged Protective Cover
I have not measured each one for thickness but I did measure the Samsung Rugged Protective Cover, which I believe to be the thickest of this bunch. The thickness of the back is approximately 3.6mm.
I've read some Amazon sellers state that their wireless chargers will not work on cases thicker than 4mm.
Unless your case has any metal or a very heavy coat of metallic paint on it. You should be able to charge it wireless without any issues.
