The improved notifications is already part of the MK7 update, right? But hey, "improvement to the lift-and-pause gesture that activates the clock"... Good good... great! Can't wait to test that out.
Update: it is the US version of the MK7 update that was rolled out earlier in Europe.

This just seems to be an mk7 us release.

I thought that too, but the improved wake up gesture? Didn't noticed anything about that in the MK7 version I installed last week.
It's in the mk7 release. Check the motions section of the settings panel.

You mean the option to wake up with the last used screen? I wouldn't call that an "improvement to the lift-and-pause gesture that activates the clock" (quote Engadget).
What about an SDK??? I would love to see way more apps for this thing
Whats the difference between the mk7 US version amd the UK version. I flashed the mk7 UK version on mine and im from US.

I would like to have any market app that we have been sideloading be able to be pulled down and installed in the Gear directly like Google Music. I hate having to reload it and all others every time there is an update. Perhaps a default music player and video player would be awesome.

What's the odds it happens this week?

The us gets it on thanksgiving lol
I read 11/29.
I wonder how this will come about. Will they have to release a new version of Gear Manager? I never updated to the 1.5 version so just wondering what to look for since I don't want to install the version again without the US firmware update. I know I can always turn to XDA to get the news too

Im still waiting for it too; Im in the Bay Area and my 14th day return expires close of business tomorrow.
I saw elsewhere we will get it on 11/29. Looking forward to it!
I was about to do the UK update since Sammy as usual drags their feet to support US customers. But given its supposed to arrive tomorrow I will just wait another day, can't hurt.
As for the Gear Manager, where do we update that? Is it part of the Samsung Hub app in the Samsung folder?

Gear Manager should update on the phone, and to the latest version. Swipe down from top of screen, click on Samsung Galaxy Gear, then click on the name of your device, then click Software Update, then click Update and agree to check for a new one. Latest version should end in MK7. This is what broke the Exchange email notifications for many, or all, of us in the USA. Hopefully they update the Gear software and this phone software, as I heard both must happen to get Exchange back and working.
Did anyone notice that the GM had a new date today and yestersay but it looks like the same version. Can someone verify? Still no updated US firmware

I think the 4.4.4 is a required prereq to lollipop. So we will get lollipop soon they just decided to stagger the two updates, someone said 2/4 as a rumor for lollpop in another thread

I'm sure it is too, except they won't release 5.0 for another 4-6 months. (Like the 4.4.2->4.4.4 upgrade)
Has anyone with an active gotten an update yet? Just curious

Haven't gotten anything on my active yet..I checked Samsung firmware site also nothing on there either.
While debating getting a new device after the Zenfone 2 not working out (looking for a dual SIM Lollipop phone)I am back to my Note 3 and am considering the upgrade except I can't find it. I have Smart Switch on my desktop and tried looking there too besides the usual place within settings on the phone but to no avail. Smart Switch does not show an available update. So all I got through settings was the most recent KK update dated in August. What am I missing? Didn't AT&T roll this out to customers? Why can't I find it? I don't want to root or do a custom ROM as I don't know what I'm doing in those areas and can't afford to brick my phone. Is Lollipop worth it on the Note 3?

Thanks. I did see that thread before. I meant did AT&T officially roll this out as an available update and if so, why isn't it showing up an available update? To be honest, I don't know the procedure above well enough to put Lollipop on to my Note 3 and I don't want to screw it up, especially after going through the ordeal I did with my Zenfone. I don't want to lose LTE on it, and so forth-I'd like it to be the official AT&T version. So the thing is-did AT&T actually roll it out? They seemed to, and my question is, if they did, why can't I download it through the normal software update channels then?
Sent from my K010 using XDA Free mobile app
Yes it is official att software and are you on att network with an att Sim card if not you won't get ota from them you can also go to best buy and have them flash the most current software for you
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk
Thanks. Yes. I'm on AT&T and it's an AT&T SIM card in the phone. So it's weird that it's not presenting me with an official OTA option. The SIM is provisioned for the Note 3. But thanks for the suggestion to go to Best Buy. I forget all about their Samsung section. They flashed an update once before for me when I was having problems. I forgot all about them.Next week though I'm likely getting a new phone so I may wait until I confirm that the new phone works out.

Well, there is a release delay in the phone I'm planning to get so I did go to BB today and they gave me the Lollipop update. Thanks for the tip as I'll be using my Note 3 a little longer than planned, so I figured why not upgrade. It still was weird that AT&T servers weren't giving me the update being I have a proper AT&T SIM card and phone bought from them in thd first place. Go figure.

I have found Lollipop to be just fine on the Note 3. No issue with battery life. Am getting my new phone today finally so have enjoyed Lollipop.Note 3 is still a fine phone. Can't complain-just looking for dual SIM at a reasonable price point.

So I ordered my new Nexus 6 from Ebay brand new $300 shipped Then I find out that 6.0 is not even out yet for the Nexus 6 on T-Mobile, what the heck is that about? 6.0 came out like a month ago and all other Nexus devices are on it. What is going on with the T-Mobile version?

6.0 has been available for all carriers for a month or better. It's one unified build MRA58K 6.0.

sure, its out. you can get it right here and install it manually https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images?hl=en
tmobile might not have approved the update yet, just like verizon, att, and sprint. but it is out officially, and you can install it yourself easily.

No, nuh-uh, nope. All of the Android 5 updates had a T-Mo fork. It's becoming apparent that T-Mo is forking 6.0 for VoLTE and their own apps. I flashed the factory image of M from Google. It worked fine for about a month but I notice a few random reboots. It was annoying but not terrible. Then yesterday, my N6 started rebooting about every 5 minutes. I ran it in Safe Mode to see if an app was causing it but I was still getting the reboots. I thought that I might have a corrupt factory image. So I flashed an new download to the phone. Still no such luck. I finally downgraded to 5.1.1 and took all the OTA security patches. I'm already on the November patch but at least my phone is stable again. I think there may be some validity to the T-Mo N6 being a bit of a red-headed step child (aka VZW Galaxy Nexus).
Read through the various forums and T-Mo's own support site and you'll see that these reports are becoming more frequent where T-Mo N6 users flashing Marshmallow are ending up with a very less than stellar OS.

Wait is the OP talking about a T-mo branded N6?
I'm on T-Mobile, the reason I would like the update is to have the APN setting. I have to play with mine after every flash to get MMS working. I think I've figured it out, but it is a pain. Pure nexus 6.0 is working awesome now

EDIT:
Never mind a search turned up this.

Build MRA58X
So I guess this will be the official T-Mobile build for M.
Finally! Downloading 6.0 now.

No, they are random. I think they are supposed to go out over the course of a week or two.
I would imagine someone will grab the OTA URL soon if they haven't already so you can sideload it if you are impatient. Also possible that they will get the factory image up if you have an unlocked bootloader. T-Mobile's factory image was a little slow to be available in the past.

Can you upgrade from 5.1.1 using the XtreStoLite ROM to 6.0 or will that break my device and lose root?
Check the international S6 thread below. South Korea and Poland are the only countries with the update so far. Someone mentioned Italy this week, but I don't know if that's true.
