Screen mirroring - Galaxy Tab S2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Mine is not working. Googled a little bit and found out that after root SM is not working. The only fix was adding additional line to build.prop. Source here http://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-s2/help/screen-mirroring-t3241344 but this didint helped ?
Anyone with rooted Tab S2 can confirm that screen mirroring is working? BTW I use debloated ROM, maybe SM needs some app to work?

Did you add that line at the end of the build.prop file? Or somewhere else?

[GUIDE][MOD][TRICK][ICS+] Enabling Soft Keys with just adding one line to build.prop

Hey Guys! I am new here, please bare with me
I got this trick working on 2 devices of mine which weren't shipped with Soft Keys enabled :cyclops:
This is the easiest! And you don't have to edit framework-res.apk anymore :highfive:
Procedure:
Download Root Browser from Playstore
Go to System folder and open build.prop using Text Editor
Now add this line at the end of build.prop file "qemu.hw.mainkeys=0"
Reboot!
Voila! Enjoy Soft Keys on your phone
PS: I know I am not the only one who found this trick, I am sharing because I found it kinda cool

They will work on any AOSP ROM. This mod only requires a change to the build.prop. Its adding one line to the build.prop and then rebooting. If you don;t like it then just delete the lines from the build.prop, save, reboot.
I tried it on my LG E980 CM 11, why there is still no soft-keys after the reboot, any help, please ?
EDIT: after trying the 4th time, I've got it works, thanks !
Thanks so much its working on my device

Xposed is here for Lollipop TW ROMs

A great day for us Sammy TW ROM users.
Xposed is working on deoxded TouchWiz-based ROMs.
See this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-xposed-samsung-lollipop-t3113463
All credit to @arter97 for making a simple solution.
Working perfectly on my N910H phone with the Elctron Tean v0.6 ROM
The creator himself hasn't tested this on exynos yet, but I see you tested it yourself and thank god it works. Has somebody already tried this on N910C though?

Correct, it only works, at present, with deodexed ROMs. There are some very good lightly debloated deodexed ROMs available.

What is the model of your NOTE4? We can then help and link you to a deodexed ROM for your phone.

I download the official Xposed alpha2 apk from rovo's thread. Don't worry about it saying you should use the alpha4, the alpha2 in the thread is the correct one.
Download the zip file from the thread I linked to in the first post.
Now install the Xposed apk
Boot to recovery.
Flash the zip you downloaded
Reboot
It will take a little time to boot, as it will optimise all your apps. After that your phone will then automatically restart.
Now you need to go to the Xposed Installer app and start adding modules as before.
That's it ?

Are you using simple kernel? I'm on 910f and I noticed that it didn't boot when I used stock kernel so I was forced into using their kernel which I don't really like as I only like stock rom
Works like a charm on my 910F. I tried wanam and it works also. Renember after flashing the xposed zip file, the first reboot takes a while on samsung logo, I almost thought it was bootloop! so give samaung logo 2 mins, then app optimizing screen comes on.

I can install Wanam Xposed, but none of the settings work. I think we have to wait for him to update to work on lollipop. N910H

Verizon tethering

Sorry but kinda in a time crunch...
I am needing to 'hack' wifi hotspot on my new N6.
I tried the build prop method without success. I am root and unlocked. Someone mentioned chroma to me but i dont see where it has the tethering work around..
Can anyone confirm this? Or suggest another ROM that is stocky that has tethering avalible
Thank you!
You could just add it to your account for the time you need it then remove it.

Chroma has it.
If the build.prop edit isn't working it is usually a typo. Works fine on every version of stock I have flashed. Working on mine as we speak. I used Root Explorer to edit. Most common typo was the keyboard trying to add a space after one of the periods.
net.tethering.noprovisioning=true

screen cast

The Moto x4 cannot be casted or mirrored on TV without using Chromecast......is there any other method to cast.....pls reply
Yeah.. you have to root the device and edit the built.prop file to use it for mirroring.
You have to edit build.prop removing "#" from "#persist.debug.wfd.enable=1" to "persist.debug.wfd.enable=1". But on Pie this doesn't work, does work on Oreo only.

Yes in the US on Sprint there's only a few newer phones I've found that can be rooted but I don't think any can cast without Chromecast.
I've had an unrooted S7 for the last year but it can cast, funny thing is I have a LG smart TV & Sprint LG Gpad but no casting.
I have 2 X4s but both have the ota Pie update, have an unlocked Oreo G6, unfortunately seems on Pie no casting & can't get WiFi Tether Router working

How do I disable navbar?

I wanna get lmt pie working... But the qemu.hw.mainkeys=1 mod to the build.prop file won't save... Any ideas?

Are you using a magisk module to edit the file? We pretty much can't make direct changes to system files under android 10.
