One of the polish carriers which is actually my native operator started testing lte ultra. Can anyone tell me, is it rom capability to get it, or I'll need to get z5c to use lte ultra?

According this list: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_devices_with_LTE_Advanced it doesn't.

I am somewhat confused with this release of the Xperia Z1.
Why is there a LTE/4G band selection? I can understand previous when they were using separate 4G Radios. This Qualcomm processor on board is supposed to support worldwide LTE bands on chip, so why mixes of models? Sony doing the dodge to sell more phones, and or protecting certain markets?
Good news even though Sony hasn't released it yet, it is the only processor model that has the ability to support 4k video. So I guess it is just a case of wait and see.
A question; Does the Xperia Z support USB 3.0? This would be a huge advantage for syncing media and uploading/downloading to and from the phone.

One model supports hspa only, one supports lte for many many markets... and another model for another market.
Its to save money.
Plus look at LG. They have snapdragon 800 and they limit the bands on the lg g2... Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

What to make 4 models is saving money when they only needed two, really in all reality only one would actually be required and allow the mobile providers to lock down if they wanted to.
Marketing, stamps for models, slight firmware changes... is not going to save money

Sony's done something which they've always done! They made a HSPA+ model for markets which don't have LTE and an LTE model for those who do.. The internals are the same pretty much except for the radios... They've done this with the Z, ZU etc also..
I was wondering if someone, by any chance, has bought an xperia Z3 compact on amazon that can confirm that it indeed supports 850/1900 frequencies for 3G (used in Mexico). I saw the specs on sony's germany website and it says it does, but I'm not sure if the product sold in amazon.de is the same.
Can someone help me / confirm I can buy the phone in amazon.de and be sure that I can use it in Mexico?
Try to confirm the Model Number and search the bands on gsmarena

Hi there
I am planning to sell my Samsung S7 and replace it with a Huawei P9. Any idea which model I should order to get 4G connections in Canada ?
Please kindly advise ASAP.
First figure out what LTE bands your wireless carrier uses.
Take a look at http://www.gsmarena.com/huawei_p9-7972.php for P9 models and the different LTE bands available on each.
As I understand it, you'll probably want the P9 EVA-L09 version. This is a single SIM model with most of the Western LTE bands. According to the specs, this model is the only one that has NFC. So if you want to use NFC for Android Pay, this model is most likely to work with it.
Most of the P9 models currently available to buy now are the Chinese models from what I can see. I would avoid the Chinese models because they lack LTE bands for the US (and Canada I'm guessing) and they are missing NFC.
The P9 EVA-L09 is just now being released in Europe so they'll become more available in the coming months. This is the model I'd look for.
I am using the Chinese EVA-AL10 on Rogers and it shows '4G' in the notification bar above signal strength indicator.

I have only had it a few days but my first impressions are very good. I was using a S6 Edge+ and I am enjoying the smaller size for a change. The form factor and build quality are excellent. I did not use the native EMUI much as I have always used the Nova launcher and customized it to my liking. As for the camera, I cannot comment properly yet as I have not used it enough, especially with regard to low light performance. However the monochrome camera is nice and a real differentiator from other phones.

To Indians who bought h8296 model and using it in India,
I am planning to buy H8296 model from amazon us as XZ2 is super expensive in India. I would like to know if VOLTE works here with Jio/airtel and other carriers that support volte. How are you guys using ? By flashing Indian firmware or using firmware that came with phone ?
I am fed up with my OnePlus 5 , hate this design, size and bezels. I was using Xperia z3 before and loved its rectangular design.
Thanks in advance
It should work
I checked this information on .frequencycheck website and as per this website this should work in India.
I have bought this model from USA and My phone will arrive next weekend then I can confirm that.
I am happy Xperia z2 user. After using Sony it's very hard to move to any other brand.
Can any1 check if it is present ?
Yes
Thank you for that.
As I check there is no B20 LTE band ?
Yep, I'm very interested in the same matter - does it support B20 LTE band and does it have NFC? I'm considering importing this phone from Flipkart, but first I need to be sure it'll work properly in Poland.

It does not support B20 and does not have NFC either.
It is a good phone but Motorola as an OEM is pretty pathetic. It's just Lenovo with another name. It's really not worth it importing this phone if you ask me.
Go with Nokia or even Xiaomi if it's available in your country.
Big thx for the info, looks like importing is not worth it...
We should wait for Motrola G7 Power. It will come soon
https://www.xda-developers.com/motorola-moto-g7-power-leak-rumored-specs/
G7 Power doesnt have 802.11ac wireless and also only bluetooth 4.2. Besides the matching 5000mAh there's not much difference but I'd still choose the One Power.
