Hi
if my Note 5 is turned off or the battery is drained and I plug it in to charge my Note 5 will show the Battery with the bold and that's it! Normally after a while the battery usually shows the percentage und you get a animation at the bottom while charging and from there you can turn on ur Note 5 but mine doesn't do that anymore! I Can't even turn it on because it freezes I have to long press all buttons to get it going. This happend after trying out this Custom bootlogo for Exynos 7420 devices
and failing I had to fix it with the help of @dr.ketan to even get my Note 5 to boot.

I know I did flash that to rescue my Note and after that I flashed this to get back the stock bootlogo. My Problem that my Note freezes if it's turned off and plugged in remains. Like I said it only shows the battery logo with the bolt in it nothing more.
@dr.ketan what partition is responsible for that function and can i maybe re-flash it? this really sucks....

I was updating my galaxy note to ICS with ODIN3. And on the final, just stopped on HIDDEN.img and keep this way till my battery runs out. Now the phone only power on with download mode, and I cannot flash any rom with ODIN, I tried to flash the ICS from the chinese link, from the sammobile.com, and I also tried others stock roms. Or the same thing happens or just fail or finish without flashing the rom =/
if you can get into download mode you can flash a stock rom using odin
try flashing a stock kernal...or unsecure one..

In proper terms:
DONT PANIC. You're not bricked, just borked.
Pull the battery and leave it out for 5 minutes.
Put the battery in and plug the phone into a WALL CHARGER.
Allow it to charge for 2 hours MINIMUM. VERY VERY IMPORTANT. Especially if you let the battery die previously.
Put battery in and go into download mode.
Connect Odin to the phone. One you have the yellow box letting you know it's connected flash a STOCK ROM from here.
Profit.
Well, I'm not at home now. But I already tried to flash a stock rom, and nothing happens, it finishes with 0 instals and 0 errors or just stop on HIDDEN.img. And I use a universal battery charger on my battery

Then you are doing something wrong...
Swyped from a white note.
If it gets stuck at hidden then most probably you are using the wrong pit file as there are 2.. 1 for the 32gb and 1 for the 16gb..

Well, I didn't think about that !!!
On the ICS I downloaded, there was the pit for 32gb, but mine is 16. But I dont remember if I flash the pit. I'll try to flash the 16gb pit again !!!
I'm at almost same position. I have the same screen problem, phone not turning on after Samsung logo.
I'm trying to go into download mode, it says low battery. So, I try to charge it, but it's not charging at all. Tried a battery charger, didn't work as well.

I flash the pit 16gb alone, and then I tried do flash the rom and it just get stuck on setupconnection!!!
Well I fixed it.
I removed the sd card and the chip. Downloaded odin3 v.1.83 on 4shared (really easy to find it) because I read this on sammobile.com:
For those user that stuck at hidden.img, kindly proceed with Odin 1.83..100% guaranteed because i’ve try it and it works perfectly..thanks sammobile..
greghart_mirrus
and it work !!! *_*
I installed the ICS, but is full of bugs... So I installed the stock rom again (2.3.6) and its full of errors too =/

Hi,
I also encountered this same issue (stuck at hidden.img).
and i also tried to restore the stock rom via odin but it's still stuck at hidden.img
i can only flash the custom rom via CWM but internal SD card is not readable. Do you have any idea to fix this issue, please? thanks for yr help.

Did u try to flash the rom with odin3 v1.83??? I did this and didnt stuck on the hidden.img. I flashed this rom http://www.mirorii.com/fichier/3/501208/I9220LP1-N7000-ICS-REPACK-tar.html
I am still stuck at same point. Trying to charge the battery with battery charger, and put it back, the phone says low battery can't get in download mode. I plug it into to wall charger it doesn't seem it's charging at all. I don't know what I'm supposed to do ? Should I buy new battery
Hi! I noticed you guys were having problems with ICS. CLICK HERE to check out my guide to get ICS working easily. You can flash the chainfire repack with the attached 16gb pit file (unzip it first) to get ICS. But I suggest you start with step 1 from the guide to get a stable baseband for your ICS.
PS. I have also attached ODIN v1.85.

so which method worked for you?
thanks
Yes that lack of off line charging for some custom ROMS almost made me send my phone in to repair. This was made worse by the fact that the build of CM I was on didn't allow you to boot into recovery (you could only reboot into recovery)
What I did.
Take the back cover of and have a pen ready so that you can use the hard power off function.
Prep your computer with flashtool open, drivers installed etc. – so that you can flash doom kernel as quickly as possible (you may only have 20 or so seconds).
1. Charge your dead phone, but AS SOON as begins to power up use your pen to power it down until it vibrates three times,
2. At this point you’ll hopefully have enough charge to enter fastboot mode, if not repeat stage 1. you may have to repeat stage 1. three or four times. If yes, flash doom kernel – do it quickly.
3. Go back to stage 1. But instead of powering off, see if you can boot in to CWM recovery, because the SP can be charged in CWM – if you can get into CWM all is good.
thanks both of you !
now im able to get into cwm but theres no led light indicating its charging.
hope its charging.
ill update you in 20 minutes
If you can get into CWM see if you can flash the offline charging fix appropriate to the ROM you're using (just to be sure).
so i got my battery up again!
but i have another question now.
after i installed doomlord kernel i had to reinstall fxp323.
else it was bootlooping.
now the doomlord kernel is gone.
how do i keep both?
Doom lords kernel is only for stock ROMs, I don't think cm kernels allow you to charge in cwm which is why I recommended it. Just flash the offline charging fix and you'll never have this problem again.

You can't brick your phone by flashing with Odin (you've to be a complete idiot to do it). Just download an official ROM from sammobile or live.samsung-updates and flash the .md5 file as PDA in Odin

I gave it a shot but it is still crashing! Any other ideas? Also i have found out something: If i keep my battery below 70% i wont crash. But if i get under 40% it results in boot loop.

Make sure that your battery isn't damaged (if it's damaged then buy a new battery) and maybe it's a hardware problem?

Sounds like a damaged battery to me. Try one from another S3 Mini or Ace II and see if it works.
Not a battery problem! We have tested multiple methods including the spinning one!
Also this can be either because the 4.1.2 update that seems to have broken the so called "NAND memory". Im also going to say one thing: This started happening to many S3 minis when they passed the 1 year age.
My friend also HAD this problem on his old S3 mini but he buyed an iPhone Later.
Hi all,
I recently received a note 5 SM-920i.
I rooted it and installed TWRP using a few guides from XDA. After that, i created a backup just in case (6.0.1) and tried to flash LineageOS. I didn't know that there was a difference between 920i/c/g/t etc and i just tried to flash without even checking.
When I tried flashing, installation got stuck (see pictures attached). I couldnt stop installation and go back to TWRP menu but i could take screenshots and swipe up and down. I tried to restart, hard reset, shut down but nothing helped, it was just stuck like this.
Once the battery ran out i wanted to charge the note 5 and try to go into recovery mod to re-install the backup but now its stuck on the charging logo even when its not connected to power. When I try to open it or go to recovery mode, nothing happens.
Has anyone ever had such an issue?
Would appreciate any help with this.
Thanks!!!
You need to flash stock rom with Odin. Volume up and power buttons same time about 7 second and right away when screen goes black volume down, home, power buttons same time. You get into download mode. Press volume up when first green display shows.
Download stock firmware for your model without auto restart options in Odin.
When you get pass firmware flash put your phone charger and leave there for little while. Then again force restart.
Volume, power button and keep those pressed so long that hopefully blue screen start and goes recovery mode and leave phone do work for you.
BTW all these custom roms some how not work for me.
Phone just start to be unstable and restart all the time.
Now finally I get stock nougat rom to work with Nova laugher.
Over 3 hours sot still 46% battery left and no single restart so far. Samsung pay off,GPS battery safe. Greenfinity.
Mobiledata 3G/2G. WiFi on. NFC off. Location history off.
That setup work for me and first time phone is stable.
And awesome battery life.
Hope this helps you.
