Cant make use of AFT
I am unable to select the downloaded .raw file in AFT.
the only supported formats are .img or .zip
how can I flash the stock .raw file.
nor the SD DOWNLOAD in Droidboot mode recognizes this raw.file
I have tried to download it more than 4 times thinking that file might have currupt. but same result every time.
Please help
Edit:
anyways I got to learn how to select the file but now when I connect my device to PC in droidboot mode, error message pops asking to close AFT. I can Ignore the error msg to keep it running but No device is being detected in AFT.
That error comes every time I connect or remove device from PC.
This is where I need help.
or simple suggest me a full solution o below situation:
Device ASUS ZENFONE 4_T00I
Last working firmware was Jellybean 4.2.2 (never upgraded)
Problem started: Consistent FC msgs of almost all msgs.
1. Droidboot State
Droidboot Version: 6.6.3.0
Product : WW_ZENFON
Not Rooted. No Custom Recovery
2. Device Status: Was on Stock Jelly bean and was contineously giving com.android.phone failure and other FC closure consistently , hence needed to try flasing a new rom or same version.
3. Read the forums and collected following data:
Stock Firmwares:
UL-ASUS_T00I-WW-6.6.3.0_user.zip
UL-ASUS_T00I-WW-7.4.4.0-user.zip
UL-ASUS_T00I-WW-9.9.9.0-user
Raw Firmware:
Zenfone4V4.3.10.raw
4. All the Tools required to flash the firmwares and study of methods to do so. I used WIN-XP and tools installed on the same. All Drivers installed successfully device recognizing and able to use fastboot and adb.
5.Current device status: To flash UL-ASUS_T00I-WW-6.6.3.0_user.zip
I tried following methods :
FW placed on SD Flashing started but failed everytime
Tried Fastboot flash update FW.zip method by cleaning all partitions- Failed "Problem in creating otp update file-error)
Now left with no system, no userdata or no data partitions on device.
Now trying AFT method to flash .raw firmware which I have downloaded.
AFT not at all listing up my device in Droidbot mode.

bro u got any fix?
The links in the OP are absolute poison!
Are the files available from any other source?
Where can I find ASUS_BUNDLE.ZIP which droidboot requires?
Hello ! I've tried to unlock bootloader at first and succeeded in that when i was on the lollipop . Unlocking is done by the unlock tool provided by the ASUS Officials.
Then i flashed the cynogen 12.1 unofficial via a boot.img , atwrp v3.img & a system.img.
Everything was fine until i needed to revert back to stock firmware.
And also everytime when i try to boot into recovery via Power & volume (-) button , it boots into system.
I used "adb reboot recovery" to boot into twrp recovery .
So, to revert back i saw a method in which we flash a raw firmware , and i downloaded a 4.0.3 for Asus Zenfone 4.
But after flashing it , the bootloader i unlocked , got locked by itself (means i can open droid boot but cannot modify boot and recovery partition via "fastboot flash boot boot.img" & "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" ).
I can only flash system via " fastboot flash system system.img".
I tried to unlock it on Jelly Bean but no success.
Also i tried updating the firmawre via OTA and flashing zip in recovery mode but i was not able to boot into recovery mode, even with "adb reboot recovery".
It always ends up with a reboot , then booting into a 'Android logo for 200 to 300 millisec' , & then boot into system.
Then i found a KitKat firmware raw file , but when i flashed it via AFT 1.0.0.0 , it always gives error "no space left for flashing modem binary".
I tried "fastboot erase data" ,"fastboot erase userdata" ,"fastboot erase cache" , & "fastboot erase system" , but ended up with stock rom with no modem binary.
So , i tried to unlock the bootloader again by the "unlock tool" provided by ASUS , but even after connected to a high speed Wifi , It gives connection error and rest of the other things are working fine like browser etc.
I also tried to flash the modem.zip inside the stock firmware zip via fastboot as : "fastboot flash update modem.zip. It has flashed the zip but still no modem binary.
Then i tried to flash the bin file inside the modem.zip as : fastboot flash radio radio_firmware.bin and it gives error : No space left for flashing modem binary.
Now i have a bootloader (locked) but no recovery and a stock firmware with no modem binary.

Switch the phone off, connect to PC - must have drivers and ADB installed.
Boot by Volume- & Power - must boot to Fastboot.
Flash boot.img - corresponding to your installed ROM, to the boot partition.
You can use Firmwsre Finder - from PC or another Android to download update.zip (FullOTA, corresponding to your ROM), unzip and extract boot.img from update.app by using Huawei Update Extractor on the PC.
And take care what you flash and where

I recently got a used MI A2, and right after the first security update the phone got into a boot loop. I couldn't get in recovery mode either. I manged to flash it through fastboot, but only with the image V9.6.17.0.ODIMIFE_8.1. Any newer version (or updating through the system settings) results again in the same issue. Am I stuck with Android 8? what can I try to fix this?

you made mistakes
- if fastboot is working you must stop messing around before you brick it harder
- search for the fastboot flashable stock rom in xda and follow the ijstructions and paste the commands exactly
- when you are back on stock start over
**** recovery is inside boot ... which is in boot partition
SO YOU HAVE TO ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO USE
fastboot boot recovery.img
- then there is a .zip that you need to flash which will patch your boot and install recovery to both partitions
****notice CAREFULLY it doesnt say fastboot boot recovery recovery.img because we don't have recovery image or not even recovery ramdisk
good luck ..stop ..breathe ..stop running in circles ..take a break follow the post for flashing stock via fastboot carefully and calmly
follow and read installation post of twrp for out device carefully
read the post on a/b devices in xda to understand your phone better ..
:fingers-crossed:
the days of fastboot flash recovery recovery.img are gone now

I think this is what I did. I got the image from the thread ([FASTBOOT] [jasmine] Xiaomi Mi A2 FASTBOOT Images), it's the only one I could find. After that the phone is fine and works both normally and recovery mode, but as soon as I try to install the security update again it bricks again.
Hi, today I tried using the Realme Flash tool for X2 Pro but it bricked my phone. Based on the flash tools error logs it shows this
"~~Medium~~ UnZipFloHelper Delete temp file exception:The process cannot access the file 'C:\Users\Michael\AppData\Roaming\realmeFlashTools\temp\system.img' because it is being used by another process."
seems like a windows problem but I cant find any reference on the web. I tried restarting my PC but it didn't solve my problem.Any suggestions how to fix this? thank you!
Realme flash tool decrypt and extract the ofp to C:\Users\Michael\AppData\Roaming\realmeFlashTools \temp .This seem to be windows permission issue .
Try to run as administer the realme flash tool and try again. Also you can flash unpacked ozip trough fastboot manually, It will be very similar to flashing with realme flash tool .

Hi, ( if your problem is not resolved at this time )
If you want you can try this procedure
Enter fastboot
- don't know if a fastboot erase " boot + system + vendor" can help
Flash stock recovery
Enter recovery and format data
Reboot bootloader
Flash full stock rom ~5Gb ( not the OTA ~3GB) with the realme flash tool

Hi,
Flashtool says some error that not relevant. If the rom is not adaptable for the phone, the error msg is not really clear.
Here is some link. I cant help you more.
You need to dl the c27.ofc (full stock rom).
rom and flash tool
ofc extractor
Option 1 try flash the c27 with flashtool.
Option 2
. Extract the ofc with MCT OFP Extractor .boot in flashboot and flash the boot/recovery (maybe try all img one by one if it pass) i use google for the correct syntax for each img file
. try boot in recovery et format data
. Reboot in fastboot and reflash the ofc with flashtool
You need to experiment to find the correct proces for your problem.

Please tell me how you did?
Hi everyone!
I think I managed to brick it... Can it be recovered from this?
Model Alcatel 1SE 5030D
Idea was to get it rooted...
I managed to finally unlock the bootloader.
I unpacked the official rom with SPD Tool and then patched the boot.img with magisk in order to flash it with fastboot.
Once this done, phone rebooted and is stuck at the very beginning.
It goes no further than the screen with alcatel logo and powered by android with the message of "lock flag unlocked" at the top left.
Cannot reboot to recovery or fastboot.
Cannot be recognized by windows or linux.
Thank you in advance.
the boot.img is embedded to the rom, sometimes as a payload.bin or an encrypted file (Inside a scatter file) , usually located in /dev/mtd/ or /system/bin , and so on .
To READ the encrypted Boot.Img from the Rom you actually need to read The SCATTER FILE, SPD TOOL, or SP Flashtools are the tools that help you -- LOAD THE ROM and read the scatter file. You could open a whole rom on your own and browse the files inside and you will never find the boot.img , you have to open the rom as a scatter file, as far as i know.
With root you can actually extract the boot.img file if you know the location of it for example:
dd if=/dev/mtd/mtd2 of=/sdcard/boot.img
or
dd if=/dev/block/***** of=/sdcard/boot.img
_____
The problem with these devices is that they dont accept flashing anything into it besides system.img
To allow to flash recovery.img or boot.img , you'll have to input special codes with a special software from the Alcatel Company (we don't have those, cuz they're not leaked)
What you did was trigger a lock, a block to the phone by trying to bypass that security code they placed onto the device.
You took the boot.img out, patched, and then placed back inside/reflashed it as an individual file, with spd tool or adb, if you did with a flashing tool then, this triggered the security of the phone, and maybe other img's got patched and flashed too (or corrupted) such as recovery.img, boot.img, vendor.img , product.img , etc etc, (these are all just regions of the ROM read through the scatter file) ( i guess this locked ur device)
Repairing it :
1) IF YOU can still access into fastboot mode (bootloader) somehow.
** I think just reflashing a new ARM ROM compatible with ur storage partitioning can fix it
(A only or AB )
(try booting the phone and then connecting it to the usb cable , to the pc, and doing
command: fastboot reboot bootloader
or fastboot devices
if you're lucky and its detected , or goes into bootloader you can just do fastboot flash systyem /name/of/rom.img
and this could flash a new rom and revert the boot.img, recovery and everything else to default
thus helping you boot ur phone again.
2) If you can't even access recovery or bootloader (fastboot mode)
** What i think you have to do to repair it is the following, REFLASH the full rom again onto the phone with sp-flash tool
GET the UNPATCHED Boot.img (i hope you made a backup of it), get the whole intact rom, (or any other compatible working rom) the scatter file intact and reflash the WHOLE full rom back again with SP FLASH TOOL
(forget about Placing the PATCHED boot.img in the scatter file) we wanna use the unpatched files, all virgin.
SP FLASH TOOL gives you an option to reflash A WHOLE ROM, i suggest to try reflashing the stock ROM (considering its good) or Reflash another Android ARM AOSP ROM, you can find plenty here in XDA, i can give you links (make sure to HAVE A GOOD ROM this could also be the reason your phone got corrupted, the boot img and files you were handling were probably already corrupted or flashing them simply broke the security code thats about it) that is why you want a ROM that is known, and good for any phone/tablet, preferrably with the same chip as yours or with enough reviews or comments from others, 90% of the roms we can find in google have viruses or are corrupted, specially considering its ALCATEL no one handles this, AND WE ALWAYS WANT TO MAKE SURE OUR PHONE ACCEPTS recovery.img, boot.img , etc without trigering any security codes, if you extracted your own ROM/stock firmware then its alright, thats fine. but you forgot about the security codes, you triggered those i think. Make sure that scatter file loads into SPFT without error, SPFT checks the PRELOADER and DSP_BL and if they aren't in the scatter directory, it will fail and maybe crash. the regions/files can get corrupted. Everything is in green, everything is setup, then you can click " Flash whole rom " this is what you need i think that way you revert everything to default , Boot.img, recovery.img all of it that got locked (you triggered the security code, i think so, because if it wasn't so , it would just boot loop, since yours boot loops and then WARNS you, it means you triggered some code or corrupted something)
3rd option return that Alcatel Toaster, to the company and pay them to repair it , cuz they have the softwares to do all this in just a few clicks.
The issue is the company, they suck hard, and all phones they make are low quality phones .
