Requests for Edge Feeds
I opened up this Thread because I saw many posts about requests for the new Edge Panels or the Edge Feeds.
Write your Requests bellow and I will look into it and maybe create an app out of it. All of them will get uploaded to XDA and to the Samsung Store.

I like both Ideas. I think I will do a Feed with different animations then, not only the kit one.
About the statusbar, don't we have this already? There is the one with the clock and the notification feed. What do you need more?
Thanks for making this thread! Great to see some interest in developing the unique features of our device!
Here's a useful thread for anyone interested in learning.
@trailblazer101 and I (...mostly him) have been working on some exciting things for the edge! Hopefully he can release soon!

Thank you for sharing this. Unfortunately I can't use it because I would like to put the app in the Samsung Store. If I use stuff that needs a modification of the system, nobody will be able to use it.

After playing around several hours I have to say, animations are almost impossible to do on an Edge Feed.
As @RuggedHunter stated in his Thread, Feeds are very limited by default. I tried to use a canvas and just draw on it. Unfortunately it looked terrible and very smudgy. Also, Feeds can't update that often it seams. This means you would get a very slow and lagging animation. I don't know if I will get it working properly with all those limitations...

I think you want an Edge Panel. On a Feed you won't see anything ^^
This should be alot easier because it doesn't involve any real rendering.

True, if the goal is to publish on Samsung Store. Maybe consider several small apps instead of one conglomerate app? Publishing individually might give you the opportunity to develop without limits, and only provide widget view feeds to Samsung Store.

Indeed. But there are still some cool things you can do with the public api.

Of course I will do multiple apps. It would get a huge mess if I'd put everything together ^^
You can display informations and stuff really easy with it but everything else gets quite complicated. Also there is only a very small documentation about the API so you have to try arround all by yourself :I

I think you didn't quite understand what this project is. I don't upload cracked apks of Edge Apps from the Store, I develop my own ones at your request.
Both of them you can get in the official Samsung Store
I bought the store request is no longer needed thanks.

Congratulations on completing the latest photos panel! Are there any special installation instructions? I got a fc when I checked the box to activate the panel, in edge screen settings. But it remains checked. It doesn't actually appear though.

Damn. I thought it was only a bug because of the development. You have to manually grant Storage permissions in Settings -> Applications -> Application manager -> Latest Photos Panel -> Permissions. I'll look into this bug, thank you!

I'm not as familiar with look for panels as I am with feeds....is there a way to make this a scrollable list of more thumbnails? I know it can be done with feeds....but I don't think I've seen it done with panels.

The fourth pack, inspired by the famous PAMs, is now online.
The example shown below is Lüm-Tec M24 in 6 different variations.
See more pictures in the following postings and in Android Market.
All clock packs come with such variations to offer more options to
fit your wallpapers.

The background:
End of 2009, my personal smartphone era took off with one of the greatest devices I ever owned: I bought an HTC HD2,
which is known as the device which can be used with more OS platforms than any other (so far).
Sense 2.5 got even better when CHT (Cookiemonster´s Home Tab) came as an extension, and I started to theme the clock option.
After my HD2 fell to a stone floor and the screen broke into gazillions of tiny little pieces,
I had to move on, and after having been able to make extensive tests, I went for Android.
I actually don´t miss anything to set up my device to my taste - except for the clocks.
There are quite a few available in the web/market, but many of them come without a hand for the seconds,
not to mention missing display of the date and more.
The first step is made, I looked for a solution which is not eating too much battery,
and can be themed easily by an amateur like me. I again went for my favourite clocks from Lüm-Tec,
and with their official permission, their great clock design is now available for Android,
through using a special launcher called "Crazy Home" and its clock widget function!
Crazy Home actually reminds me strongly on CHT from its functionality (multiple home screens, easy to set up),
the free version includes some advertising. No big issue for me, and you can get the paid version without the advertising if that bothers you.
No advertising for that product from my side though, it´s just the (maybe temporary?) solution to get my clocks running on my phone.
The clocks have been tested on HTC Sensation and Samsung Galaxy S II, both of them running Android 2.3.4, and no issues discovered so far.

Some other members asked me to open a new thread for the new port,
so we can collect more opinions and maybe find a programmer who helps to make a widget -
not only for me, but for many other users and clock themers!
Changelog as of October 25, 2011:
The fourth pack, with PAM inspired dials, is released.
There might come one more package, a mixed bucket, maybe,
without feedback, hard to decide what to do...

Thx for adding that...
I just discovered some little pixels which are not so well done by myself... will do an update soon.
And, I am working on the Combat B-Series port now. And wondering if I should port
another model, like with orange lume. Will see...
The fun part for me is still the fact that Crazy Home offers different home screens, like CHT... which allows fast switching between different layouts.

Hi Tictac,
Installed Crazy Home lite - looks good already.
Looking forward to the next releases... especially the Lum-tec concept watch
Is there any chance of an option to choose between quartz or mechanical movement for the seconds hand (ie jerky vs smooth); is this feasible at all?
Thanks A LOT already
cheers

Hi Ben,
I guess it *would* be possible... but that will need some programming.
The current solution is fine for now, as it is extremely battery friendly.
I hope sooner or later, there will be a solution for different movement behavior, show date etc.
Maybe Crazydude will jump in, I wrote an email asking about this kind of stuff...

The PAM pack will be out sometime next week (at least definitely in October), for now, I just uploaded the Lüm-Tec M23 clock pack - an orange lumed watch.
This one I actually never published for Sense 2.5, so it´s brand new in a virtual sense. The real product, I was told, is sold out.
See posting #2 for some screenshots.
So it seems this home launcher is picking up some steam again... I thought maybe if I started this thread, we could get some devs on board and pick up support for this great launcher. Show some love and support by posting your screens and if you would like to share your setup, it's up to you (just don't forget; like I did to credit the original creator if you use their work... :0}

Thanks for starting this thread, I do hope the devs work on the launcher again. That said since all the themes are available for download within the launcher, it would be nice if we credited the original ones too right? I see you're using a modded setup of my original theme (sheepo), would be nice if you could mention that too. I have made too many sweeterhome themes to post all here atm, will do later sometime. Look forward to seeing this thread grow.

Indeed a very nice launcher, I loved this concept of share to care.
I didn't know it existed until someone posted some screen grabs in a thread I watch recently.
Peeked at the forum and it looks dead & overrun by spam bots. Is the launcher stable enough for daily use? I'm downloading some different themes & messing around & it doesn't seem that hard to do. Will probably play with other people's themes a while before trying out one of my own.

I have been using this as my daily. So far so good. It took me a little while to get used to, but when I started messing around with other themes it all started to make sense... :0}
Sent from my rectangle robot.
I used it as daily for a pretty long time. It's not that it's that hard to customize, it is that it takes so much time!
I played for a while now and it seems pretty straight forward to me for most things. I like how in the sample themes people have made all sorts of setups that go in totally different directions.
Some quick thoughts/questions in no special order:
- User Base: I'm glad to see a couple replies already. I really don't want to get into this if I'm the only one using it. Need to have some people to bounce ideas off of & ask questions.
- Is it still in development, or is it 'finished' just the way it is?
- I like the idea of a slide down to the bottom of the + for all apps, but oddly I'm not seeing the use of the other 3 sides when it seems (off the top of my head) easier to hide & un-hide everything on one screen.
- There still no way to get to the other screens without a slide? Would be nice to make a button with a special action of jumping to one of the other screens.
- In some of the minimal themes, I see the use of the Contacts plugin/widget/thing. I like the look on the themes, but I don't want to see ALL of my contacts, just the favorite dozen or so. Any way to do it that I'm missing, or anyone know of a normal Android Widget that can show something like that?
- Overall, I'm probably going to play for a while & save version after version on my sd card (need to see where is saves, btw) BUT at some point I will really need to think if this method works any better then just Launcher Pro/Go Launcher/more 'normal' android home screens.

One of the main reasons I started this thread was I noticed more and more people using this launcher. It really is amazing how much customizing you can actually do. I was hoping if we get enough users the devs would pick up support for this and more features could be added. I am not sure if there has been any movement on this but the latest beta version was dated February 12th 2012(according to the website.) I too have not really found much use for the other slides but I guess it is nice if anyone uses a lot of widgets or simply just likes the real estate. I have not found if there is a way to jump to another screen by adding a springboard function, but I am still new to the launcher... Overall I feel this is the best launcher I have used as far as customizing goes, being able to move widgets, pictures, text boxes, wallpapers, colors, anywhere on the screen, as well as hide/unhide items; it's a themers dream... Just my two cents... On that note... Let's see some more screens!!!

I've been looking for something like the WidgetsMaker for some time now. I just tried it out, and I think you've got a good platform, but it needs to be expanded. Every widget does clock and weather. What we need are email, sms, calls (/missed/log), news, system info, stock quotes, other social apps.., location, and so on - all the things people use other widgets for (Ability to add java code or some kind of programmability straight to the widget is going to be necessary to really take off with this). Then I can actually build an interface. Otherwise it's always going to be difficult to get a consistent style using widgets coming from many different sources. Next you need a real user interface. It's very primitive as it stands. I've got a few ideas on this if you're looking for feedback.
Im sorry but I emailed you guys plenty but no response.

I am about to purchase your LWPCREATOR. Can you please tell that how much time you are going to take to send me the license key? I am just 17 and interested in developing my own APK asap...
I was in the process of downloading the Icon Pack Generator; and Chrome blocked it saying the file is malicious?
Anyone purchased the LWPCREATOR??
Anyone purchased the LWPCREATOR? If Yes, how is it??/ is it good?? can we add our own ads (Startapp, Airpush)??/ :good::good: .....
anyone???
I purchased the software for 40$..... You can't implement any ads except the Startapp which also comes with their old SDK, make your app suspend......
@yossio
I realy love it. We buy the Icon Pack Generator license today but the license is not working. It say the license is invalid. Please check.
Detail :
Paypal email : [email protected]
Please send us the new key that working.
Thanks

If you think that adding in AirPush into your app is a good idea. You're a ****ing sellout. AirPush is the worst kind of ads and will most likely get your app uninstalledby 95% of users.
is this app considered spam??
edit: Yes it is. it has a crapload of "offers"you have to decline to or get adware installed if you're not careful
BUT looks like it also has LeadBolt. which has been used by CSR Racing, Farmville 2 and other larger developers. So his ad infrastructure is not that old
as in regards to the app..(since everyone here was afraid)..it works fine and doesn't look malicious. It's just the BundleWare during Setup you have to watch out for.

hi i can't find the download link for the icon pack gen. and i have a few questions . with who i can talk because i.ve sent you 2 mails but i have not get a response. thanks
This is the official weather app from Oneplus.
V2's translated files uploaded in attachment for experts only (I failed to recompile after modifying), after replacing these files the app should be fully translated except cities' names which can be translated in the china_city.db, I'm not going to translate the db file as there are 5000+ entries and I don't know how to translate them quickly.

I'm a chinese, the "selectable locations" are different states of China, unfortunately none of the places outside China can be found
looks like the only cities db included for now are chinese
let's wait for 1.0 version
Nice
Edit 2: Sooo, i broke the app signing completely, cant fix this right now so no working weather from me however, ill upload my edited db !!!! ive only added data for "Hamburg - Germany" right now !!!! so you can try yourself.
Edit 3: https://owncloud.it-9.net/index.php/s/NaFpOiguUNrqIlT here is the download link for the db.
Hello Guys,
im trying to add some cities to the app, interestingly there are a lot of not chinese cities in there see the screenshot.
Cant promise you that it works, have done it once with the MIUI V4 Weather App i think but that was a long time ago. Will post later today if it works.

Edit: Its the "Areas" shown in the screenshot, not the city tab. Anyways im still editing. Right now i need to find out how the pid is connected to the city, its only there for chinese cities.
Where in The hell did u got this, looks stunningly amazing
@ xLychee
Can you please explain how to add a city in that db? TIA.

Sure.
But before a little Disclaimer I am no Dev and have no clue if it works the way i thought, im just tinkering around with stuff until its broken.
Though this is just an App so nothing irreplacebale should break.
I just took the apk and extracted everything with 7zip, in the Assets Folder you find the "china_city.db" open it with sqlitebrowser.
Go to "Browse data" and choose table "area" and scroll down a lot, there are a lot of cities not located in China, like Hamburg or Rio de Janeiro but they have no pid.
I tried to add a pid and say its located in china (in another column) but after adding it back into the apk i couldnt install it anymore, because it breaks the app signing and you cant install completely unsigend apps on android.
Im not sure if that would've worked, i know the other app i did this with resolved cities with a server to get the weather data. The question is, is this done with the column "_id" or "pid", because if it is done with "pid" it wont work, if its done with "_id" it could work.
Sorry if thats not that easily understandable, english is not my native language.

So, did an international version of this app make its way to the Oxygen OS released today?

Well, to be honest, this is not the full part of the issue, there is more backend to this app which you have no clue about.
Good luck with your inaccurate ramblings about the id's.
We actually made those up and make it correspond to our backend system for picking up data.
Therefore if the PosID is not in our backend the app wont work anyway! So, everything you've said is a load of crap
If the PosID was to conform we'd have to add them to the backend system and also in addition to this in order of the last valid posIDs not your own.
the statement above wasnt from me but this is it.

I do think youre talking about my post, but yeah, i wrote that in my last post on page one too, that there will be problems with the resolving backend / server.

Im pretty sure thats going to be included in H2 OS their Home Market Only Rom. Even when I prefer Vanilla like Android I would Have Not minded This App included in OXY. I guess it's a matter of taste.

Chinese forum has no any trace of Hydrogen OS rom yet but I'll keep my eyes on them
*They will recruit for H2 rom testers in May
If it's gonna be just in Hydrogen OS, then there will be no support for cities outside China.

I Hoping they will at some point release it for Oxygen and maybe even COS 12. I'm kind of boomed that Oxygen is kind of short on Customizable features but I'm sure they just focused on a stable Base to build upon. If they come up with More stuff like this weather app, and the way you can change the quick toggles on the notification panel, we are in for some cool stuff.

Updated version here 0.9.43:
http://www.oneplusbbs.com/thread-725695-1-1.html
Hello XDA!
So Google named the next iteration/flavour/version of Android, 7.0 as Nougat (spelled No-ga?, please correct me)
I quickly made a CM theme inspired by the latest developer preview and the rumours flying around.
Presenting:
NOUGAT CM

What is it?
A new theme for the CyanogenMod Theme Engine (12.1/13 supported).
All custom ROMs including CyanogenMod or others based on CyanogenMod AND having the Theme Engine supported.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What's themed?
I've tried keeping it simple and close to stock. Here's what's themed:
SystemUI - Notifications, QS header, Volume Panels
Settings
Phone/Dialer
Contacts
Calculator (AOSP,Google)
WhatsApp
Trebuchet, Launcher3, Google Now Launchers
And a few more things here and there...
ALSO INCLUDES WALLPAPER FROM THE LATEST PREVIEW
NAVIGATION BAR INSPIRED FROM RUMOURS (Slightly different from the original one, I am not fond of the home button, so made a few aesthetic changes. )
Nougat Styled flat notifications (thanks to @Lars124 and his awesome guide )
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Screenshots below!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Video review of the theme - (thanks @vvaibhavv)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Find the .apk file attached! I have tested it fully on my Nexus 5 running CM13 (nightly). Positive criticism appreciated. If possible please put a screenshot of the bug(s) you encounter. Will fix it ASAP.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT 1: Theme updated to version 1.1
Changes:
1. Better notifications.
EDIT 2: Theme uploaded on XDA Labs!
EDIT 3: Theme updated to version 1.2
Changes:
1. Fixed CM File Manager background (previously dark)
2. Fixed Wallpaper not displayed in CM Theme chooser
3. Fixed version code
4. Improved Navigation Bar
5. Improved Launcher 'All Apps' icons
6. New Wallpaper
7. New bootanimation (replaced with new Nougat CM themed one)
8. New App icon
9. Reduced .apk file size
Note: This is just me trying to give back to the community that has taught me so many things. You can find the app on XDA Labs, and post review(s) there. Trying to keep it updated with respect to suggestions. I still don't have a device to test the changes fully, Kindly excuse any delay!
ATTENTION: We are getting notices of bootloops, specifically on Moto Devices for reasons unknown (yet).
A temporary fix is to simply wipe the Dalvik and System Cache, that should fix it. Apologies for the same!
Check Attachments.
Looks nice
@Ashomitsu, looks good enough to try. Will update my this with my views of the theme later on. Thanks and good job!

Or instead, I'm planning to release a new theme with all the suggestions here. It's ready for a release.
Hopefully today.
And as my fate would have it, my Nexus 5 broke yesterday due to rains.
Let's see how it goes!

@Ashomitsu, if it's possible can you please put this app on XDA Labs? (labs.xda-developers.com) since its now evolving as a fantastic distribution platform with reviews, different release channels like Stable, Alpha and Beta and would help you find more users.
Not to mention users get notifications of updates automatically I've been using @Primokorn's amazing Enhancement theme through XDA Labs and it's as effortless as the Play Store, just free
