I'm testing this build right now. It have mDNIe, everything look very sharp, but you forgot to add "Advanced Display" on Display and Light setting, so I cant adjust sharpness.

I didn't foget or remove any features from it , i just updated the sources , and if CM team decide to remove something , they must have a reason for it , and i don't remember that CM12.1 ever had such a feature , not even CM13 has it as i recall , anyway , you coul'd always try a custom kernel like Boeffla-Kernel , arter97 kernel or ArchiKernel (AOSP version) , maybe one of them has yre desired feature
Edit: yes indeed , i checked the old version and yes it had such a option , i'm gonna try to bring it back but i can't promise , sorry

@xpduyson: you can set mdnie-mode simply by editing /sys/class/mdnie/mode (try 4 for automatic). Smuggling a script into init.d doesn't work for me.
@rpdroky I'm using Boeffla kernel to control mDNIe. Your ROM working very smooth with boeffla.

when I'm using Trafalgar Square's version, webm video freeze at first frame and no sound, others video format play fine. I assumed that the browser tried to play webm video with hardware accelerated.
Also in @rpdroky version, I can't play any video with HW+ accelerated in MX Player, logcat show something like this:
edit: HW+ was working in Trafalgar Square ROM
edit2: sometime both HW and HW+ not woking, logcat didn't show any error.
edit3: tried VLC, only work with software accelerated, not woking with hardware accelerated

coz gapps (micro) package have google apps I mostly use, so I dont have to re-download some on playstore other than 3rd-party apps..
other than that, feel great for the updates today

Only thing i noticed that nightmode is very laggy was also in cm 13 but they fixed it maybe its possible to do so also in cm12.1

The only difference is OTA update from CM servers. That feature is not available in unofficial builds. But its no big deal, I can integrate OTA update if u guys want..
The other day I had the same idea
Basically stripping the source and remove any unnecessary stuff.
Did you manage to fix the sound distortion? I'm still stuck on that one, as I can't find the crucial part in the kernel (Or is the problem somewhere else?)

official has many problems like call connection, camera orientations, headphones sound glitch
and also i feel squadzone's device config is much better and fast than official builds..

with 3mbps it took 3hrs to sync and with core2duo 1.86Ghz 2.5GB RAM it took 5hrs to build..and mine is a desktop

Holy **** 5 hours for compiling. Did you set up ccache? Is your desktop heating too much / fan making too much noise?

i forgot to setup ccache yesterday but still everything was normal, no sounds or overheating but today it took around 2 hours..

Yes. The official version of cm7 has a problem of audio distortion (1 second) while changing tracks and camera orientation problem after taking the pic in landscape.

CyanogenMod is an aftermarket firmware for a number of cell phones based on the open-source Android operating system. It offers features not found in the official Android based firmwares of vendors.

Magnus is my main priority....I am working on it for more than a month.Cm11 needs kitkat compatible kernel & needs to be compiled from source & I had no problem in turbo compiling.

Knight has octacore processor so if it has 4.4.2 therefore we don't have any benefit from it coz we have different processor quadcore

Tried yesterday, this seems to solve heating problem, mobile doesn't heat easily ( my phone was heating on simple things like watching HD video for half hour or playing basic games like Angry birds )
Tried Temple Run Oz for hour & heat generated is completely low & negligible. Mobile is completely lag free, responsive,battery backup improved & RAM usage is also low.
Some more things I noticed :
OTG is not working
Mobile Internet not working ( tried 2G , 3G )
Resolution is same but PPI is less so somewhat different screen ( smaller icons )

Its very well mentioned that in the first thread don't look for bugs in unstable builds. If original dev fixes i will update when i get time.
For MTP mode & USB storage to show when u connect to PC go to Settings->Storage-> ( U can see options for connect to PC )

Your fix for CM12 works for me.
We can use the balcked out gapps,I've tested them earlier with my nexus 7,works with 5.1.

You need to do a clean flash of CM 12.1 or it will give you a bootlop, but if you don't want to lose data make a backup.

Can you provide logcat for the systemui fc when sim is in the 1st slot?
Okay, I found a few bugs.
-Dialer stops responding after dialing one character
-Youtube videos fail to load everytime
-Installing an app from an apk works, but package installer stops working.
Unfortunately i cant attach logcat becuase I am a new user here and it doesnt allow me to attach files, if someone knows how I could do it let me know!

I got the same problem can't receiving phone calls, making call is fine. Tried wipe everything before install and it's still not working. I don't seems to have any file in /data, is there anything else I can provide to help you debug?

Press power and volume + and - at the same time and the connect your device. (Try other button combination if doesnt work) (If it still doesnt detect make sure you install the driver correctly)
Your pc will detect your tab and wait for it to complete)
After that choose ''Download''
Press the button combination and then connect your device (Wait for it to complete)
After complete, unplug your tab and then reboot to recovery
Clear cache, data and dalvik (FACTORY RESET) (If you see protect_f and protect_s were unable to mount, ignore it)
Reboot (Let the stock rom boot first)
After finish booting and you see Lenovo setup wizard, shut down your tab and then boot to recovery
You will see that the mounting problem is gone. Factory reset and then flash RR rom.
Done
For those who had NVRAM error (NVRAM WARNING ERR = 0x10) in the WiFi setting (also increase and decrease maximum and minimum volume), flash this in TWRP :
Cool_Sound+WiFi.zip

Nice ROM. Simple. Good battery backup. Would recommend as a daily driver

GV-2G, HV-3G or only WiFi?
this rom is not properly stabile yet. when the screen goes off its automatically turn to landscape. then the volume rocker is not functional. its keep loud even i set to minimal.

The screen turn landscape because when i port this rom i have to change ro.sf.hwrotation from 0 to 90 or we get inverted touch

so it would be nice if u remove the delay of screens off dim and its animation. overall nice porting. battery is quite drain fast

Unless we build the rom from source, it would be impossible to fix it.
For now you can use xposed module "Screen Off Animation"

The same issue is present in even RR rom ported by @naimrlet, but thanks to this guy, we have now 3 custom roms for our device.

Thanks for everything you are doing for us. The only thing that keeps me on Stock, after using these custom rom's, is wifi stability. Wifi keeps dropping frequently, can't find any solution on google to get the wifi stability in custom roms, may be our device problem, or may be because rom is ported and not fully made for this device, i don't know, but still custom roms has a very good memory management feature.
I will try when you upload the RR 5.7.4
