Ive been trying for hours to root my Galaxy Note 5 SM-N920P on Marshmallow 6.0.1. I've tried every version of twrp that I can find; however. have been unable to find a tar file for twrp 3.0 and above. I've also tried several ODIN builds, with no success. None of the 'Auto-root" Kernels such as Space X etc are working on this build MMB29K.N920PVPU2BPC3. I've rooted many phones and have never had this problem installing twrp. (Says recovery is not SE ANdroid enforcing in red and never gets past the first boot screen). Is anyone else having this problem on the sprint variant? Is it possible there is a new kernel in the works?
Thanks in advance!
Closed. Found correct version of twrp

I also have rooted many phones but can not install twrp on my sm-n920p note 5 running 6.0.1. I have it rooted but get the same seandroid enforcing in red you describe. tried installing with odin and flashify but always get the same results.
Bump! I'm having the exact same issues. Op says he found the right version. I have a N920P and I've used multiple versions of Odin (currently v3.10.6) and twrp-2.8.7.0-nobleltespr.img.tar. I Auto rooted with CF-Auto-Root-nobleltespr-nobleltespr-smn920p.tar after many failed attempts with the previously mentioned files. Now I have root but still cannot get TWRP Recovery on my phone. Everytime I try, it gets stuck on the "Recovery is not seandroid enforcing" screen and the only way to get off of it is to auto root again. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You need to look up root-boot because that's how you get it to boot when it's stuck on the screen so search the forums for it and use it but first read about it!
Flash twrp-3.0.2-0-M-nobleltespr.tar.tar found at http://forum.xda-developers.com/spr...-mm-rom-v3-0-making-smoars-t3364338?nocache=1
Had same issue. Auto root, flashify or flashfire, flash the tar.tar file from link provided. Solved. Should be anyways.
Works. Thanks.
This modified TWRP file listed below worked. After rooting my Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 5, I was unable to enter Recover mode unless I re-flashed a previous version of TWRP. That was a bummer. I hope that others who experienced that issue see this post and download THIS version of TWRP. IT WORKS!!! Thanks

Okay guys so I just rooted my att note 3 that was completely up to date using the towelroot.com method found here. Stupidly of me I was trying to follow a thread to change my system language in build.prop but after doing that It ONLY boots to recovery / safestrap. After the safestrap screen I tell it to continue to boot normaly and all i get after that is a black screen.
Any ideas? Is it possible to flash safestrap from odin / heimdall / recovery?
Ive tried factory resetting from safestrap and recovery and that didn't change anything.
I not even sure I have safestrap at this point I can get into recovery, and download mode but it sits at the "Samsung Galaxy NOTE 3 [Unlocked Icon] Custom" screen. It wont actually progress to the safestrap.
Before I tried to edit that build.prop the root / safestrap worked fine all day today, restarted several times for different reasons and still worked afterwards.
I had no encryption enabled.

Possibly? this as a fix?
Would this be okay to use as a stock Kitkat firmware resource for an Odin flash?
Anyone have a N900AUCUCNC2 ROM or firmware I can flash?

i have the .zip files for it and odin 3
*it sounds to me like a bootloop or a softbrick, I would recommend using this odin 3 and flash the stock kk rom the one i have is the unofficial and is pre-rooted. but it works when i bricked mine repeatedly trying roms.

That'd be awesome if you could get that to me some how. I more or less have everything fixed but the wake-up after entering my pattern lock is ungodly slow so I'd like to possibly try a different one.

I installed the software again to get out of loop an tried flashing the recovery again and i have the same result. I did evreything possible please help. I just want to test a rom that i am working on. On the side note can anyone give me any help on theming my rom.
And there a way i can test the rom on pc?

I assume you did the same as I and tried flashing the recovery through odin, this leads to the revovery not working. Just root your phone using CF auto root. You then download the app flashify. Grant root acces.
Download the twrp-3.0.1-0-noblelte.img
Falsh it through flashify and then reboot recovery

Using an N910t3 I flashed emotion MM rc25 , confirmed wifi didn't work, tried the data fix it put me in a bootloop, luckily I had made a complete backup in TWRP and restored it already, just want to warn anyone else before they try it.
You should keep A backup of the original the "boot" partition in twrp. In TWRP>Backup>select "boot" only. That keeps the stock kernel.
I haven't tested any alternative kernels personally.
I feel that the stock MM kernel is doing great.
MM works fine. I'm waiting for MM kernel
I had a few problems with Marshmallow but finally installed the latest PG2. My phone N910T boot looped and caused some problems but eventually I finally had a working 6.0.1 stock. I installed TWRP and SuperSU SYSTEMLESS and used the phone for 2 days.
I tried flashing Beastmode and Emotion kernels but neither worked and I was stuck in a boot loop. Eventually I tried to reinstall stock without a wipe as this always works and keeps my apps etc.
The stock said the md5 checksum was invalid even though it was the same file from 2 days earlier. To fix this I removed the file extension, preventing it from doing the MD5 check and attempted to install. It bricked my phone as the process appeared to stop at halfway and I aborted. I found modem and bootloader files for PG2 and took a shot at installing them. I got to another bootloop.
I tried the stock tarfile again and was a little more patient this time. The previous delay was only a few minutes long. It installed succesfully. I Installed TWRP with ODIN, followed by a systemless root in recovery mode.
I'm currently waiting for MM kernels. I hope my little adventure helps somebody else on their journey.

I just received a Galaxy S2 SM-T810 running Nougat. It appears to be in perfect condition. I have Odin 3.1.2. and TWRP twrp_3.1.0-1_sm-t810_13317.tar. I have been unable to get TWRP installed. I have made multiple attempts, and it keeps the stock recovery.
Can anyone tell me why this is failing? Odin says it was successful. Any help would be appreciated. :crying:

I have flashed TWRP on quite a few devices.
I kept getting a weird screen instead of TWRP and I used ODIN 3.12.3 and TWRP 3.1.0-1 and then tried 3.1.1.1 that failed too. I finally ended up using ODIN 3.12.5 and TWRP 3.1.0-1 I also had flashed the tablet back to 6.01, and then back to 7.0. When I tried to use ODIN to reflash directly to 7.0 again it basically didn't do anything so I had to flash backward first. I think the partitions for my stock ROM were somehow messed up, and flashing back to 6.01 and then back up to 7.0 fixed it. Even with that, I had to use the older TWRP 3.1.0-1 I think that was the worst time I ever had getting a device rooted.

Google's new API might have something to do with that. I'm not sure. Did you end up getting a systemless root on the device with 6.0 and above

hi guys, a friend of mine gave e this samsung galaxy tab S2 SM-T715 32GB that is stuck on bootloop, he said nothing about what he has done to it (sadly) all i know is that it's stuck in bootloop and it's impossible to access the recovery... what i've tried so far is this:
- find a TWRP and flash it with odin v3.14, which works but when the tablet reboots it's stuck on bootloop and i can't access the recovery
- find and flash an older version of the TWRP that's for the android 5.1 stock rom, flashed in and worked, though i can't access it after the reboot
- find and flash the latest OFFICIAL rom which works because when i get into the download mode i see "samsung official" on "binary" and not "custom" as it was after the previous tries
if anyone has an idea about what i should do please help me ^^ the tab is still in good condition and would be a waste to throw in the garbage tbh

Try perhaps with Frija in place of samfirm and perhaps with heimdall (under Linux but also windows I think) in place of Odin.

mine is still up >30 hrs so looking promising. I've been working on it for 8 months or more. Thinking back, looking at the flash in "edl mode" guide . . .

. . maybe this is how I should have done it, but mine was stable in download mode.
In the end this is what I did ymmv.
flash back to 5.0.2stock with heimdall,
flashing twrp3.1.0-1, format internal partitions,
reflash 5.0.2stock, & twrp3.1.0-1.
edit: after 1 day it is rebooting again. groan.
