Hi everyone. Is there a method to have a stronger Wi-Fi signal? I experience a lot of problems with the signal strength since I have this phone. Before I had a S3 and my Wi-Fi worked well. Any advice? Don't know if a custom kernel would make the difference (or a custom ROM maybe...)
Thanks!

I don't know if there already roms/kernels with tweaked Wifi. Check Doomkernels topic or try CM based rom.
But I know some general Wifi speed 'tweaks':
Change channel, try channel 1, 6 or 11. Or 13+ if your router supports it.
Try to move the router slightly, or put it vertical, just lay it down.
Try 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz. The 2.4 ghz freq is normally stronger on longer distances. The 5ghz can be better if there are a lot of other devices or when the router is close.
Sometimes rebooting your router can help too Just a simple reboot.
I'd like the wikipedia pages to be correct for our devices, but I recently learned that what I figured was the definitive source, the Sony WhitePages for each device is actually wrong for the LT30p. Which makes me suspect on the accuracy for the other Blue devices. Based on the specs of the snapdragon SOCs I believe I already know the real answers, but would like proof.
I already have the T (LT30p), so I am asking if someone with a V (LT25i) , TX (LT29i), a TL (LT30at) and if anyone actually possesses it the elusive LTE version of the T (LT30a) could attach a screenshot for their device from the first screen of CPU Indentifier
Thanks!
LT30p

Ok, here's my Xperia T
I didn't know that Xperia T could have two different CPU (Snapdragon 8960 and 8260)or maybe MIUI is ****ing with me :V
... and my lt30a...
http://www-support-downloads.sonymobile.com/lt30/whitepaper_EN_lt30p_xperia_t.pdf
In White Paper from Sony site we have this info: 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Krait MSM8960 Dual Core
It was changed sometime ago, in previous version was MSM8260A
Well, the only notable difference between 8260 and 8960 is LTE support.

8260A in the LT30p to be exact. Confusing naming scheme, the 8260 is the older (non-Krait) SoC used in the xperia s.

So my Xperia T has LTE support? What's the point of the TL then?

Wrong, there's quite a big difference between MSM8260 and MSM8260a that can be found in Xperia T. The first one is S3 series and second one S4 series... And a lot more, try to google a bit...

The TL is the AT&T branded version.
According to the Sony whitepaper (which doesn't seem to be always right), it was limited in the LTE bands it could access, but I have a feeling this was just a result of its baseband flash and nothing to do with the actual hardware.
The official Samsung site and many reviews state the Note 5 CPU is four cores at 2.1 GHz and four at 1.5 GHz. I have also found a few sites that ONLY list it at 1.5Ghz, including the specs at the top of this forum.
Can anyone confirm?
Do you have the phone? ...if you have it, Install an app like cpu Z from play store and check for yourself
ścribbled from my Note 5
I don't have the phone yet. I'm assuming the XDA stat is wrong, but wanted confirmation.
yes it has 4 A57 cores at 2.1 Ghz and 4 A53 cores at 1.5 Ghz
Thank you!
