Anyone have proper QR code for S7 Edge in cardboard viewer?
I found some like for note 5, s6, note 4 and also S7 Edge. The S7 edge one is kinda distorted. While I found Note 5 to be the best.
But maybe if someone can share their settings for viewer profile generator to try or QR Codes. Because I think Some settings need to be change because the ppi of note 5 and screen size is different. Thank you
Bump. This empty thread saddens me, I searched for a proper QR code in google for a while now and I can't find anything...
Or at least someone give me the parameters I need to make one here https://vr.google.com/cardboard/viewerprofilegenerator/

I was wondering if there is a website that allows you to make a custom case/shell for the Galaxy note 2 yet. I've seen some for the galaxy note 1, but i dont know if the note 1 accessories will work for the 2.
Can anyone help out or clarify? I have some pictures id love to put on a case for my phone
Saw a guy review casemyway.com case for the galaxy note 2 on the youtubes. Their site only says note though, but i think it's for the note 2. Perhaps they mislabled it?

swyped all these spelling errors from my galaxy note 2
Thanks! I went there and I couldnt find or click the one for the Note 2, but apparently, if you email them they will make it for you!
I'll have a review up soon for a site called casetagram.

Hi i have been searching everywhere for this answer. Do you think the note edge will be compatible with the upcoming gear vr? I know it says only compatible with note 4 but the specs are identical and dimensions are similar... The only reason it mite not work that I can think of is if the gear vr uses the note 4 screen fully ie 100% then the edge part would be an issue.

Sadly, works only with Note 4.
Resurrecting an old thread. Has anyone else tried?
From this review:
http://gizmodo.com/samsung-gear-vr-review-hell-yes-i-will-strap-this-phon-1670312012
"It's worth noting here that while Samsung has pointedly said that you're not supposed to try and fit the Galaxy Note Edge in here, you totally can. I mean, it doesn't "fit" in the conventional sense, but I've crammed it in a few times without breaking anything (yet). The problem is that the Note Edge doesn't launch the Oculus app when you plug it in. I'm sure there's probably some workaround but it probably involves black magic. Or at least root access."
Read this too when it first came out and was wondering the same thing, such a tease.
Hello Everyone,
Its time to change my phone finally. After eagerly waiting for the Note 5 for a while now, I was looking at the specs of the phone but, is it just me or does the S6 Edge+ specs although almost identical to the Note 5, is better? Or am I missing something here?
At almost $770 it quite a hefty investment!
They are literally identical besides the S-pen for the note5, and the curved edges on the S6 edge+. Everything else is the same. The S6 edge+ is more expensive for the same storage though, so I personally went with the Note5, as I also believe the S-pen offers more functionality than a curved screen.
From GSMArena:
Note5:
- S Pen stylus
5 MP Secondary Camera.
S6 Edge+:
- Samsung Pay (Visa, MasterCard certified)
5 MP, [email protected], dual video call, Auto HDR
These are the only different features i could see.
And you said you bought it. How?? Isn't the launch on August 21?

The Note5 has samsung pay as well, the literal only differences are the screens and the S-pen.
And yes, I bought mine last thursday when it was announced from AT&T, it arrived monday afternoon and I have been using it all day today. It's a really nice phone.
Ah... AT&T! I am planning to buy it. Lets see when its available on Expansys! Currently on pre-order there.
it's the same resolution screen on both phones the curved edge technically makes you lose some of that however. the edge gives you a couple features that aren't on the note but the note has the pen which has way more functionality than any edge screen in my opinion. i've been using my phone since yesterday and it's definitely a great device!
Yup. The S pen is really beneficial. I am gonna order it as soon as its available. Thanks!
They're slightly different screens for example the edge+ is brighter while the note has a better delta
1. Note 4 Gear VR - immersive, excellent FOV
2. S6, S6 edge - cant comment but i can assume it would of been the same as the note 4, since it was designed for a 5.1" phone.
3. S6, S6 edge, S6 edge plus, note 5 - looks like your looking through a toilet roll tube. What a dissapointment. What happend?
Last thing, does anyone know if the note 5 will work with the first innovator edition?
Rant over,
Thanks
Have you got things set up right on the s6 the fov is excellent so not sure about this toilet tube effect you are seeing

It does not, sadly, and I don't just mean physical incompatibility. The Note 5 just doesn't launch the Oculus software at all.

By contrast, the "consumer" Gear VR 2015 model apparently works on a Note 4 on a software level, but Samsung was stupid enough to have the physical construction of the front smartphone mount block off the Note 4 unless you start cutting bits and pieces off.

What I really want to know is if the flattened sides of the later Gear VR pose a problem for Note 4/5 use, since I can't imagine them being all that great for FOV on the larger screens. The Note 4 Innovator Edition model already feels kinda like you're looking through ski goggles as it is.
Better yet, if someone could test a modified "consumer" Gear VR with a Note 4 that has a Note 5 ROM port installed, I'd like to see it. As it stands, the Note 4 Gear VR doesn't work, presumably for the same software-related reasons it doesn't work on the Note 5. Those ROM ports obviously pass the phone off as a Note 5.
Perhaps if you are not happy with Samsung's approach, you should just order BlitzWolf vr or similar.
Hi,
I'm thinking of getting myself a gear vr with either a Galaxy S7, or a Edge7. I already had the chance to play around with a Gear VR and an Edge7, but I was wondering if the S7 would give a different experience due to the smaller screen? These phones have the same resolution, so the S7 has more pixels per inch, meaning a sharper image, but since the screensize is smaller, would that affect the field of view? Would I get a "smaller" screen? Or would that be a simple matter of adjusting the focus on the gear itself?
Maybe that someone has experience with both devices and can tell me the difference?
Thanks!
Hi,
I've played around with the S7 Edge and the S6. Both looked pretty similar on the Gear VR, since it zoom in the screen I do not think it'd be much of a difference - at least it wasn't very noticeable for me. However it has been some long time since I last used it, so maybe I may be confusing things.
All in all, there is not much difference between the two I think. If you have the budget go for the S7 Edge - larger battery - else the S7 will be just as great.
All the best,

Thanks for the info!
Having a larger battery is indeed something to think about...
Both of them will work perfectly but I would go with the SGS7 Edge as it has a larger battery.
