Nexus 6 Sound Problem - Nexus 6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello friends. I bought a new Nexus 6 two weeks ago. Unfortunately, my device has decreasing sound problem. When phone's charge is below %20 or 30, speakers volume suddenly decrease. How can i solve this problem?

I have this problem too. I found out that putting my phone to battery save mode sometimes can help.
I will love to get more solutions though.

That's normal... the solution is to charge your phone.

How you say it is normal? If it is normal why other phones doesn't have this problem? It is very annoying problem. You say me "use your phone always with 70 percent charge?". It is not the solution.

The Nexus 6 does this for some reason... You can blame Motorola. I haven't seen any solution.
Let me rephrase... For the Nexus 6, this is normal.

Why would you want to blast your speakers when it's at a low battery %, do you want it to die faster?

He's just saying that high volume degrades battery life faster. I think Motorola built it this way to save battery.

I see blanco. But it happens nearly all volume settings. For example my sound is on level 8 suddenly decrease level 2, or is on level 6 again decrease level 2. And when watching youtube videos if i rotate the screen suddenly increase level 8 again and after three or four seconds again decrease level 2. Really so interesting and annoying. But my charge is over %30 sound quality is so good.

Is there any solution suggest for this problem?

Last month I was having the same sound issue but also the screen shifting to two images.. after reading up on a Motorola's nexus 6 forums I found someone switched their kernel to Leankernel and their issues were resolved. I now have no sound descreasing issues or display problems.

I am using the following version:
V3.5 dated 1.27.16
Here is a link of the one I use, this is from my pogoplug account:

I have never had any issues whatsoever. I was having issues too where when listening to music or watching a video and I rotate my phone the audio would hesitate. That issue was also solved on this.
Hopefully it works for you. Let me know how it goes.

Will there ever be a fix about the popping and cracking in the sound on the youtube videos??
I heard that more htc phones have this problem..
The htc one is a great phone but this is realy annoying...
Maybe because I don't experience this issue at all. So assuming I already got a firmware version that fixed the issue.
Same here, I don't have the problem on 1.29. What firmware versiona re you running OP?

It depends upon the base though. I can say that 1.29.401.16R fixes the issue.
To all the people having the crackling issue and popping, to my knowledge and my research it seems to be a kernel problem, the only way i found to fix this is to install a custom kernel, example faux kernel and us faux's kernel app and set the cpu to performance and it completely eliminates the popping and cracking sound, or you could flash any other kernel and use set cpu app to set the cpu to performance, its a guaranteed fix, improves your performance but kills the battery faster..
I use my own custom kernel and I am on 1.29 firmware. Never really experience these issues on youtube. I am always watching youtube on my phone more like 3-4 hours a day and it doesn't really happen at all even once.
Probably is on 1.27, cause I notice it on my One and I am on 1.27.

I have the same, I turn off beats and it fixes the skipping/popping audio but the lip sync is out. My Optimus 3d never had this issue! Hopefully this gets fixed soon, I love to watch music videos on youtube and this has ruined my day (only just got the phone.
Tried the Vevo app with beats enabled, still the odd skip but not as much as the youtube app. Mobile youtube from a browser seems to be fine so if you like to watch music clips just use that I guess.
I'm on 1.29.980.2 & I get the popping, crackling and bad lip sync. Turning off beats isn't a fix, just a workaround. You shouldn't have to turn off features to"fix" a problem. That's what HTC's QA Department is for.
I don't subscribe to this just put up with it crap. I didn't buy a premium phone to just put up with it

no, its software.
Heres to hoping they fix the low headset volume, and High BT volume experienced on some headsets (that last one is my biggest gripe with the phone)
turkishness -> In my Nexus 5 I haven't got the same sound volume concerning the SMS and when I play a video. I think (hope ) it's software issue
Now we just need to wait for the rollout to start and for some nice chap to post the ota zip and then we can all sideload it right away.
I think the sound problem is software, they just won't let us turn it up loud enough.

You can flash roms now...hashcode made a recovery bypass called "Safestrap" its in android development section under sticky....
And theres a few good roms out already im using "Bri" xnote rom...and it's awesome. Haven't had any issues and the battery is the same if not better, believe me...
Its very simple to root now I successfully done it with "kingo"..
And after you flash "Strapstrap" just make a backup and literally flash a rom that easy...most of questions have already been asked if your having questions around here...

I haven't been very active on here but I did see the safestrap beta... Not sure if I trust kingo root because I saw all the problems with it before. The biggest problem I had was Android OS was always using more battery than my screen time which is a problem and unusual. Happened every time I rooted, coming from a rooted note 2 I know this isn't normal at all. On stock it stays around 8-10% during the day.
I know exactly what your going through. .To be honest this note 3 has superior battery life from any device I owned I had all the note models as well...But rooting your note 3 and debloating it..is only gonna help battery dont go crazy and install a dozen useless apps and you'll be just fine...Also inverted apps and theme's and dark wallpapers help with battery as well in theory less pixels to be energized so less battery. Am getting great battery life. I'm on this all day and connected to wifi and only have to charge it once before bed which is great..lol

The note 3 has multiple microphones so it can cancel out back ground noise. It expects that your voice will be mainly be picked up by the lower microphone next to the USB port. If you sometimes block that microphone with something like your hand, you will mess up the noise canceling algorithms which could result in the echo. Try blocking and then unblocking that lower microphone with your hand and see if you can make the echo appear and then disappear for the caller. My guess is you will find the source of your echo.
Good luck.

Doesn't matter I try holding my phone with 2 fingers on the sides not covering anything or even just putting it down on my desk and it still echoes.... Noticed now it's not doing it on speaker phone only with the ear piece which doesn't make much sense.

Funny you say that.....For the longest time I heard alot of people say I sound muffled. And about a month ago I realized I kept holding my phone and my pinkie finger was over the mic..lol....But you are right about the mic and the back ground noise..I usually get the echo effect every now and then, mostly when I'm using WiFi...I'm wondering if it's in the phone "settings" disabling background noise will help solve this echo effect? .
What exactly do you think this option will do unchecked..in phone settings?

Problems with LEeco LE2

I am looking to purchase and make some stuff for this mobile due to it's specs, but, i have seen that many people are complaining faster battery drain in this device after 4-6 months of use. Some of them even complained about clicking noise below touch screen.
Can someone inform me more about this device issues?
As someone who's been using this phone for a while I can tell u that I have faced no such issues the battery easily lasts a day and the drain is rather minimal in standby mode.As for the sound issue it happens only if u try to choke Ur phone to death and isn't an issue for the normal user. The ui and the lack of development are the only 2 downfalls as far as this phone is considered.Hope I was able to clarify your doubts.
I have been using this phone since its launch in India and I haven't got any problem with this phone untill now yes there is little problem with battery backup but that is due to software update and camera quality is average not as they said in their ads and main problem is Eui which is newbie rom so it will take some time to grow rest depends on you to buy the phone or not.
This phone has awesome hardware so there is no lag in gaming or any heavy use(gaming experience is better than moto g4 plus)

Quite unrelated. My bad, didn't read the linked thread.
I was having issues with the phone's battery and Bluetooth and thought this was related to my issue.
Back to the topic then: my LG headphones tell me it's battery's charge when I turn them on. Never seen it any other way.
