Hey guys, whenever I turn on my moto G (second edition) I get spammed with applications not responding so I cannot actually do anything apart from powering off. I also cannot factory reset from fastboot as it justs fails.
So I have been trying to flash stock firmware manually but whenever I use ADB it does not pick up the device. I'm guessing this is due to USB debugging not being enabled but I canno't enable it as I cannot get to my settings. Is there anyway other way to flash stock firmware?
My bootloader is locked if that helps. (According to fastboot)

Last night I was running 5.0 Lollipop GPE on my unlocked Telus HTC One M7, when I got a notification for an OTA update to 5.1 . I let it download and install, it booted up and then ran through Optimizing Apps. When it finished, the phone rebooted - and then got stuck in this loop. I can either boot the phone and it starts Optimizing Apps (again) or I can get to the bootloader screen. Entering Recovery mode (then holding power and volume up) doesn't do anything- just leads me back into this loop.
Figured I need to flash the phone now, but cannot get it to show up when I run adb devices (just an empty list). I'm not sure if the phone isn't in USB debugging mode or there is something else going on here. I've tried both Mac and PC with several drivers, multiple usb cables, and any other potential solution google came up with. It obviously worked in the past in order to flash 5.0 GPE, but doesn't work now and not sure what has changed.
Any suggestions on getting out of this mess? Can I somehow flash it without being able to boot? Thanks!

use fastboot commands, usb debug is only to enable adb when the os is booted.
Code:
fastboot devices

Thank you! Everything else went smoothly and I've flashed 5.1 now.
So I'm currently running the newest version of Blisspop on my phone. I was at work earlier this evening, and my phone rebooted. However it never came back. Its stuck on the "Warning Bootloader Unlocked" screen. I was able to access fastboot, however whenever I would choose anything it would immediately go right back to the warning screen. Except when I choose recovery. It goes to the recovery splash logo, and freezes there. I don;t know what to do, as I don't have USB Debugging enabled on the device. Is there anything anyone can do to help me? Thanks guys!
Better you flash stock firmware via fastboot mode by PC and take a complete backup of stock ROM before you proceed.
I would, however, I can't enable USB Debugging.
I have a Moto-maker-made Moto X with T-mobile sim and never installed any custom ROMs. The device was encrypted and after the latest update, I got a message that my pass code was valid, but de-encrypting failed and I would have to factory reset. When I tried to do that, the phone just reboots. I called motorola support and they said they would replace the phone for $125, but couldn't do anything else since their last option is factory reset.
What should I try next? I appreciate any suggestions.
You could try doing the factory reset again, from stock recovery, and then doing a cache wipe, also in stock recovery.
If that doesn't do it, you could try flashing the stock 5.1 firmware with rsdlite. I do Not think it needs an unlocked bootloader, it does need for USB debugging to be on though... so that could be a problem since I imagine factory restore disables debugging.... maybe you can try starting up in Safe Mode and enabling debugging... you can boot up in Safe Mode by following this: http://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-105629/
if you manage to get debugging turned on, or if by some miracle it's already on, then to use rsd lite there are many tutorials available, look thru a few of them, like this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/general/guide-moto-x-return-to-100-stock-using-t2446515 the guy there uses Verizon firmware as an example, you'll need the XT1053 5.1 firmware but the problem is the 5.1 firmware hasn't been officially released yet I don't think. so you could wait for it, or you could ask if anyone managed to procure the firmware as per the instructions to do so with Motorola Device Manager suggested in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/general/5-1-update-motorola-device-manager-to-t3101205
If you haven't heard already: YOU SHOULD NEVER TRY TO DOWNGRADE YOUR FIRMWARE. THAT IS, IF YOU CAN'T FIND THE PROPER 5.1 FIRMWARE, DO NOT TRY TO FLASH ANY OTHER, AT THE RISK OF HARD BRICKING.
I tried factory reset several times without success. I can enter safe mode, but I'm still stuck on the pass code: after entering it, the phone powers off.
I downloaded the tools/drivers and I'll wait for the 5.1 firmware. In another thread someone said that I don't need USB debugging enabled for RSDLite to work. Is this correct?
Hi guys. I've had my HTC one for a while now and it had TWRP flashed on it. About a week ago I flashed the android revolution rom, worked well but my camera went really weird if I looked back at some recordings. So I wanted to revert back to stock everything. I flashed a stock recovery for the M7, after that I had the problem of not being able to connect my device to the computer when I fastboot mode. Simply wouldn't pick it up when I typed ADB devices in cmd. My device wouldn't show up after installing stock recovery. And it doesn't want to restore any roms either in stock recovery mode. I can't even access my folders in that mode to flash any roms. I click either apply from sd card, apply from phone storage. Says for a split second check CID failed or something and reboots itself.
I cannot flash TWRP back cause my computer since it can't pick it up. I've tried everything. Changing USB ports, uninstalling my drives for htc. Changing computers, unlocking, relocking bootloader. No result. I'm screwed cause I'm stuck on this android revolution rom, rooted. Just wanna flash custom recovery. I can connect it to my computer, access folders and add things to it but soon as I turn it off and go into fastboot mode it says fastboot usb and can hear the noise when its connected but it doesn't show up in adb devices and when I flash the TWRP it starts send then comes up with FAILED. Help please, would be appreciated!

Adb only works if you'te booted to OS or custom recovery. Command you're looking for in bootloader menu is "fastboot devices"
Fala Puno. Ja sam raditi sada. I'm of Croatian decent in Australia. I'll try this later when I return home
Fixed it! I'm an idiot, I didn't realise I was flashing the m8 twrp instead of m7. That's why it failed. Lol. Anyway thanks
I have got a Motorola E5 plus device (Model: XT1924-3). Which restarts on logo screen (seems OS crashed).
Able to access the bootloader and recovery mode but oem is locked so can't flash new image using RSD Lite.
Have tried factory reset, wiping the user data and cache nothing works. Also, I have tried using moto smart assistant but it required debugger mode enables but unfortunately it is disabled in my case.
Could anyone help me to identify ways to unlock oem in current case or is there any other way to flash/ recover the OS.
Thanks a lot.
You can unlock the phone through recovery. You can than install twrp and flash a new rom. But did this just randomly happen or did you try and flash something? If it randomly did this than your phone may have a issue.

Hi! I'm in the same situation as OP. What's the way to unlock through recovery? I've tried adb commands to change the flashing_locked flag using "adb shell setprop ro.oem_unlock_supported 1" and "adb shell setprop ro.oem_unlock_allowed 1". The flags don't get saved after the phone boots again into fastboot.
Thanks in advance!
You unlock it through Motorola website. Plenty of guides for that here.
