ok im very confident i can sim unlock this phone...as im interested in getting a h811 bc of unlocked bl but have at&t service, i need a user with a sim-locked phone and a user with a sim-unlockedto get me a backup of their efs/modem using qpts i linked the program below,
first put ur phone into diag mode (ihidden menu (277634#*# ) scroll to bottom to Port Test check (very last thing on T-MO version), on the next screen touch to enable it) in device manager check under which port it is, possibly port 4 or 5
now open QPTS (qpts configurations) then click "add new port" bottem right cornor, uncheck "show serial and usbdiagnostic ports only" then select ur phone and then press ok.
then on the top go to the "start clients" tab, select software download, the go to the backup tab (make sure ur connect to the correct port, then pick ur backup path and press start. rename the file to unlock or lock and then if possible upload and send me the link, (do this via private message).... thanks.....if i find something ill upload a tutorial for all to use....
qpts https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24459283995310392
EDIT: even better would be if someone does the backup before a temporary sim unlock and then after then temporary unlock and send me the files to analyze
This is kinda what i want to do... Is get our nv of a locked and unlocked and compare em to find the difference http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-one-m9/general/nv-unlock-sim-t3314755

nope all it does is backup ur efs partiton, what my plan is to compare both files and see which hex changes from unlocked to locked, backup first and then try and do a temp sim unlock using the tmobile app and then if it works backup it again. thank you
Somebody unlocked sim please help. Been thinking of switching back to Cricket after T-Mobile increased my monthly bill to around $200 for 2 phones and a tablet. I can save over $100 a month switching.

First thanks, is your phone eligible to be temp unlocked? I think getting me a backup before unlock and then after a temp would work best.
Dont know if this helps any but one day while exploring with romtoolbox in system/etc/priv app i believe is a sim unlock apk other then the one tmobile provides as their app

Hello, i have bought LG G4 H811 on ebay and now it is Locked , I made backup NV files, full EFS Partition with free NV-items_reader_writer software. If you want i can send it at your mail (give me mail).
Now I am searching for unlocked H811 or H815 EFS Partition backup to restore it on my phone and my phone will be activated i think. After that i will return my original IMEI and that's all. If my hope is wrong please post here.
In case of H815, first time i will flash H815 ROM which made MR @MicroMod777 and than restore H815 EFS. I think it will work.
Please help me somebody give me unlocked h811 or H815efs backup...

I have already changed IMEI. I set, worked, unblocked phones IMEI but Device Unlock app guess that something is wrong and do not worked, when i set original IMEI then it gave me Unlock Permanent button.
I think that it is possible flashing, Unlocked H811's EFS Partitions backup img file, from recovery, or from rooted android, made from wanam EFS IMEI Backup (or may be other soft makes better EFS backup for flashing) as i know It makes full EFS backup in img format. After recovery, i'll set my original IMEI.
EFS Restore also possible by NV-items_reader_writer tool, QPST or other like this software. I think it will also work... I can in backup Unlocked NV file first time change IMEI and set my original IMEI and then restore it at my phone....
Once i changed it, I know where and how it changes, second time of course will no problem change . What do you think?

Yes i thought about IMEI and MEID matching, but i was not able to change MEID as Successfully as IMEI
Now I think not Unlock this phone with Unlock Device app. If i copy already unlocked phones EFS partition and compare to my EFS there must be different Hex codes and I think write only different HEX NV tables with QPST or other like program, or full EFS partition from recovery or Wanam's EFS IMEI Backup or something like this. After this phone will be unlocked and I will return my IMEI and that's all. Sorry for my bad English...
Finally did backup, but my temp unlock is expiring in a day or two. After it expires, I'll check for comparison's of the files to see if I can find any differences. Maybe its as easy as editing the .qcn backup.

I am afraid it seems you are mistaken, the program is available for download without entering an Email for other phone models too the rodium for example you need this program to exctract data from your phone you then send that and your imei to them, you then get a file and you can then unlock the phone.
The key here is the imei file you got.
Where did you get it from?
What are the chances that a random Imei file would match your phone???

Lol Indeed!
Did you unlock your phone with the file dowloaded or with the file that you share in your folder...
There are different when you run it,
I can't do the test because i'm not administrator of my computer... should wait for test some days...
Someone tested the file named ; BLAC001-unlocker.exe ?
Doesn't work I used the Blackstonev1Unlock.exe which confirmed my phone is sim locked and extracted some info. I then ran the BLAC001-unlocker.exe program and used the imei.unl file from the zip linked. After that I ran Blackstonev1Unlock.exe again which gave me the same "Your device is SIM unlocked" command prompt as shown in post 1. However I tried my O2 sim (on my Orange phone) and it booted to a sim locked screen
Interesting mine dosnt even run?
It opens the command prompt and then reboots my phone?
it then gives me a "communicating with device" error.
did it a few times no AV on, also tried in safe mode still nothing.

but what's DANGEROUS, I FOUND THAT MY IMEI HAVE CHANGED !!!

Once process is complete turn on our terminal and check that it has been cleared by inserting a SIM from another company or if we look defaced IMEI by dialing *#06# ... if yes, WE HAVE OUR PHONE UNLOCKED!
Now we have to restore the IMEI

Just to quickly answer your question properly. Here is how I did it. There might be other ways, but this one worked quite well for me:
Connect your phone with usb debugging enabled and make sure it's well connected:
adb devices #You should see some number now.
adb shell
make sure you got superuser rights:
su
a # will appear
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p11 of=/sdcard/nvram.img #or whatever you wanna call the backed up .img file.
then exit the shell
then type:
adb pull /sdcard/nvram.img #or whatever you called the backup img
you ll find it in your adb folder then. Make sure you keep it safe
*Important commands are in RED. Maybe I missed something, so if you have problems, just tell me. But that should be pretty much it.
Of course you need adb set up, for this to work. There is a small package in my Noob-HOW-TO and you can also find A LOT of tutorials all over xda about adb.

RESTORE IMEI
Now we proceed to restore IMEI. We need to know the IMEI is having our phone, so you can look at the back of the mobile phone or on the invoice.
Connect your phone to your PC via USB. (only necessary that is on)
Introducing 3845#*970# on the dialer.
Select Port settings -> Select USB CP / In 2.3.4 select AP CP USB -> USB CP
Download TUTTY and OPEN.
In Protocol select Serial, Port is left as is and click OPEN (review the port because sometimes that is not correct)
Now write the following:
Type AT (If not accepted, or do not see the characters switch ports)
Type at% imei (should show current phone IMEI)
Type at% imei = x, x, x, x, x ..., (In each X would have to put the number that corresponded to our true IMEI)
Once process is done introduce introduce 3845#*970# on the dialer and changed CP USB -> USB AP and ready.
Reboot the phone and check the IMEI by dialing *#06#.
Sorry for my english

Yes.. the method has worked for many people in Spain. You can see the tutorial and yours comments -> http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=320114
It was discovered by a user having network problems and since that day we use.
I have no knowledge as you, but if something works you can always repeat :good:
This method has been discovered by some people in htcmania with network problems.
To fix network problems they do this process with orcusen's help, and someone realized that his phone was unlocked.
After that, the method was used by many people to unlock the phone succesfully.

Well you definitly should backup the nvram partition, before you try to touch anything related to it. I'd say, until you provide a way of how to back it up, you should delete the information above, since it can seriously screw up phones... look for a post made by xonar_ he explained somewhere, how to back up nvram partition. As soon as this info is in there, I think this thread is a good one. But until then, it seems to dangerous to me...
See i am always in favour of sharing information and knowledge, but as long as things arent bullet proof, they always risk to brick noobs' phones. That's the only thing i am concerned about... I am quite sure, that otherwise lots of new threads about: tried to unlock my phone, now my phone doesnt work anymore will pop up

I don't know about that, only say what I see in other forum, but I don't know about nvram partition nor what erase cp really does.
I think if this process afects nvram partition, it'll be good if there is an easy way to backup it and restore if something goes grong.
For now nobody reported problems, only people that did something grong in tutty and can't restore imei, but finally they could do it.

Dont be so uptight, everything here on XDA is not bulletproof, if somene is trying to do something that does not understand is not the fault of the OP, people that come to XDA should be aware that here is not the place to take things lightly.
We all started as noobs, but reading, searching and understanding makes us take a step away from noobishness (I think that word doesnt even exist) some faster than others, even I had a bricked my phone the first time I tried to flash CM7(even when I'd read the instructions carefully), but that didnt stopped Me trying to fix my own mess, I read, searched and read again until I could fix My phone, all that without having posted a Q in the CM7 thread or opening a Q in general subforum, the moral of the story is if you broke it you fix it with your own tools(brain).
PS I'm still a noob, one that can compile a kernel and a rom but a noob nonetheless.

Search for: xonar_ backup nvram
You have to dd it to a .img file first, then copy it from your sdcard to your phone, just to be on the safe side.

Is there a way to know if the nvram is corrupted ? I used that method last year because of my phone being always in emergency mode after receiving too many sms (more than 500 in a short time were sent)

well theres always a safe way to do it i bought an unlock code for 10$ and it was pretty fast at www(dot)unlock(dot)mx

On 1.1 and 1.3 same download link to IMEI converter, pls fix it
Link fixed.
Also, before modifying the qcn file, make sure to make a backup copy first.
If your phone is not detected, just try to remove usb cable and insert again, sometimes qpst couldn't recognize my phone.

I had the same problem. Nobody can help in the forum, or they don't want. We can understand. Nobody want to share their personal informaton (image files from another phone).
I went to a local GSM service and their solved my problem. Now I can use the 1. and the 2. SIM as well with the original IMEI numbers. It wasn't easy for the GSM guy (because I made a big mess), but he did it. It wasn't for free of course, but probably You also don't have another chance.

THE previous thread my probleme i stuck in bootloop even if i flash stock or factory binray but i found a solution and fixed bootloop
but now i dont have imei 1 or imei 2 is unknown
and baseband for device is unknown
and the spen remote is connecting and dont connect to my note 9
so you initially failed to do something first and this got you in the state you are in.(what did u do?)
strike 1.
then you also failed at restoring from a backup.( by restoring your twrp backup that should at least have EFS partition saved if not all of them)( but you probably didint back up anything)
strike 2.
now, when you flash stock i don't think you actualy flashed anything and failed at that too.
strike 3.
so i belive the issue is reading and then understanding it.
no efforts from anyone in the forums can fix that. only you can.
so read up on:
what type/model of phone you have.
what OEM unlock is.
what version/model of firmware it supports.
how different versions of odin exsist to flash firmware.
how to use odin and fill up the proper slots.
where to download rhe correct stock firmware.
how to properly flash twrp and wipe/format to prepare phone
how to use twrp for backuping and flashing.
how magisk is required to boot a twrp/rooted phone ( prolly your bootloop issue originally)
once all of the above is mastered then all your problems will vanish.
good luck on the literature
(btw from looking at the pictures your modem(CP) or part of the EFS partition has a missing file(s). anyways nothing flashing the correct stock firmware can't fix)
and spen is bound to phones imei. so in this case spen will connect again once you fix by restoring stock properly.
and since I'm such in a good mood,if you properly went through all the steps explained before and REALLY restored stock and also if you are rooted find a way to open:
efs/imei/mps_code.dat
if you get an error while opening it just copy to sd card and open it from there.

Since you haven't rooted or flashed any other firmware why don't you approach Samsung support? Tell them I tried to factory reset and since then it was like this.

Hi, I had the same problem and managed to sort it out. Find your service provider firmware on Sammobile and download it with Sam firm, extract it and load I'm Odin all necessary files and good to go. After that you can flash with Odin android pie straight on your note 9. Let me know if you still need any help. Good luck.
I also have same issue on my note 9 due to sam fix tool
maybe they should call it the sam break tool.
where is the file located again?
id be curious to study it
Usually its a modem issue when that happens. Perhaps find the right modem for your device and use Odin. It used to happen to me when I flashed international ROMs on my n910t . I would have to flash my models modem and it goes back to normal.

Note 9 (atleast USA models) I thought couldnt flash TWRP. Unless you're in binary but not even sure if that works. Also it cant be oem unlocked. However in Binary of course. Is the S pen really bound to IMEI? My IMEI number is 000000000000000. Which it obviously was not that a day ago but my S pen still works as it should. Let me be a hypocrite but less filler rambling. I'm hurting for this answer as well.
---------- Post added at 04:43 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:40 AM ----------
If curiosity is your game I was stupid as no other and figured going into binary was the best way to get a new IMEI to a rumored black listed note I got on the low low. Erase EFS 1/2/3 without backing up. I'll take a bow for being stellar. Come to find out after the damage was done. The IMEI was completely clean and I just needed to switch service.
I tried to install twrp recovery in my redmi note 9 (merlin) then I lost my device I got hardbrick then i tried to recover unfortunately I formated my via sp flash tool now my mobile is back to life but I have lost Imei only SIM 1 working but UM not able to call with sim1 ND SIM 2 is not working can someone help me?
Since your device is MTK there are multiple ways to change your IMEI.
You can follow this guide to change your device IMEI back to original. (Changing IMEI to a different value than the default IMEI your device came with is illegal in most countries)
If you hate the technical stuff you can use this guide instead, it claims to be able to change the IMEI back to default value automatically by using baseband. Here is a video guide.
It's untested though so use it on your own risk.
Hope I helped.

You can repair only imei for slot2 by yourself.
Only Xiaomi Centre can recover imei for slot1.
If you want to recover the imei for slot2, just follow this step:
1. Flash the ENGINEERING ROM: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...for-merlin-redmi-note-9-redmi-10x-4g.4227933/
2. Enter in META MODE using MODEM META: https://androidmtk.com/download-modemmeta-tool
3. Write IMEI for slot2 and keep blank/null for slot1.
4. Flash any other MIUI (or custom) ROM you want.
5. Backup NVDATA if you want to restore IMEI after.
Done.

No. Because that the step 1 is "Flash the ENGINEERING ROM".

If you are facing the PMT changed error, you are using a different scatter file than used before.
You just need to use the SAME scatter file.
Here, you can find scatter file for MERLIN: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...omi-redmi-note-9-xiaomi-redmi-10x-4g.4223097/
