Hello all:
Last night, tmobile started blocking my service unless I disabled SuperSU. I installed xposed (yes the app and the framework) and rootcloaked every tmobile app I could find, but my service is still blocked.
Anyone have any ideas? I am 10n.
Thanks

must be more to this story
thousands of users are rooted without issues
Sounds like there's an app running with Root permissions killing your radio.
This isn't T-Mobile, this is you. There is no way for them to do that at least not to only one device.
Pay your bill.

I migrated my apps from the og moto x developer edition. One app was SuperSU. When I opened that app I didn't get any errors, so I downloaded a root checker app and it confirmed my new moto x was already rooted.
Fluke?

Yes, fluke. Just tried on my pure edition and it's a no go.
Maybe a refurbished device? And the previous owner rooted it, and Motorola didn't recognize?

Will it receive ota updates when it is rooted?
Refurbished so soon after launch? I suppose it is possible.

Yes, several returns are happening, I'm sure they're flipping them.
Use DiskDigger and see if there are any deleted files /photos on there. Always encrypt then factory reset your device prior to sending it back
Where is the option the turn off and on volte went to phone settings it is not there thanks

Excellent question. The note 3 had this option but I haven't seen it in any note 4 rom.

They are located in the phone app settings. At least that is where mine are located.
If you can not locate them, I would do a backup and restore of your current firmware to see if that fixes the issue.
No setting for volte??

You're phone is doing it automatically.
On att and t mobile it's automatic.

For AT&T and T-Mobile users, there is no setting you need to apply to your account or any interaction with customer service at all. They upgrade the network equipment to allow VoLTE traffic, and if your phone is capable it works. Not all phones are capable, and some — like the Galaxy Note 3 — need to be on the latest software. It's likely that all future "flagship" models will be VoLTE capable.
Not true. Tmobile has the options to turn it off.

Go to the dial pad itself. Press the settings button in the upper right corner with the three dots. This setting menu has the option.

Oh under settings go to the call tab.
I'm using an AT&T sim.

Have you tried dirty flashing your rom? May not have taken when updating from last firmware version.

I clean installed Xnote-V3 port by Turilo. The baseband is the latest NK4.
This is what the settings menu under the dialer app shows.

Okay I figured out what the problem is. The contacts application X-note Rom uses is the international version instead of the Tmobile version which is 4.4.4-N910TUVU1ANK4.
I am going to try restoring the Tmobile version using Nandroid manager.

Yeah I was going to suggest that it was the rom considering it is a port to T-Mobile and could have issues. Glad you thought of that to.:good:
Hello,
Yesterday I started noticing some of the apps that I installed disappeared (or uninstalled). Has anyone else experienced this on a stock Note 4?
My messages app just disappeared. Now I either have to Odin or root and place the file in the right spot

I had watch espn dissappear and I booted to recover fixed permissions and it was back

Sorry just quoted you because I forgot too in response
I am not rooted so not sure if I can fix the permissions.
I bought a Verizon N6 from Verizon a few weeks ago. I unlocked the bootloader, rooted it, installed TWRP and Chroma rom. Everything was working fine with the exception of occasional force closes of Facebook. I then flashed Benzo rom. I noticed days later that I was consistently not getting 4G LTE. From there, I flashed different roms (AOSP, CM, and stocks bases) and the LMY47E bootloader/radio combination all resulting in no 4G. I also tried tinkering with the APN settings and the other settings in Mobile Networks without any luck. I tried creating an APN, but it doesn't save it. Lastly, I tried doing the *228 update and a factory reset without the SIM card in, still no luck.
So in the end, I have no 4G LTE. My phone seems to work like normal, just slower data. (3G data and voice work). If anybody has any suggestions, I really appreciate it!

Mine has done that too..just use wug tool kit ...flash back to stock then reroot and do twrp again....that's what I've had to do ....just don't relock bootloader of course..will take about 2o minutes but you will have lte back....
Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
I did try that, except I went and relocked the bootloader. Wug didn't install stock recovery though, so I flashed stock, unrooted and relocked the bootloader.. All with TWRP still installed. I thought it was bricked for a moment, but it worked out. Unlocked and rooted again, but still no 4G.

I'm not sure why it didn't install stock recovery; I thought it was supposed to too. Maybe I missed something.
And yes, the sim was in with the *228. I was a little skeptical about that afterwards too, but my wife was having signal issues and remedied it with that on her Note 3. So I gave it a go.
