Hi everyone
B852, EMUI 3.1 / Android 5.1
I have installed Dolphin Browser (also i have tried with chrome/stock browser) and when i play 720/1080p video i have problem with buffering. I have speed from 200-300 kbps which is not enough. Dolphin Browser has built-in video player and there indicates with how much speed i download/view the video. With Youtube everything is OK with 720 or 1080p videos. Also this is with my phone only, with other who i have at home is perfect (tested with same video).
I have tested with friend internet.
And also with my 4G everything is okay and i have speed ~1000kbps..
I have already factory reset my phone and now i have flashed full B852 (before i have installed via OTA from B839).

I have downloaded and installed this twice now and the video playback is awful (i.e. virtually unwatchable). I have been playing around with the settings, but it is still no good.
Version 1.2.1 was fine (apart from not playing youtube videos easily or properly), so there must be something in version 1.2.2 which is causing this problem.

No problems at all here. Watched a movie last night and had no issue whatsoever.
No issues for me.... play with your settings!

what type of video are you watching? Mine seems to work great.
1.2.1 worked great for me too.
I have now downloaded 1.2.2 three times with the same poor result. I am watching avi files (tv programmes) which worked well with 1.2.1 and also with TCMP.
I have been playing with the settings, but with no result so far. Are there any settings which might cure this problem?
at last I am getting somewhere, by readjusting the settings.
So it was my settings which were wrong, not coreplayer 1.2.2
What do you have your video output set at?
can you post what setting you changed so when someone searches for this a solution will be here as well?
Hi,
I've recently bought a Galaxy Tab. It's an euro/international model, completely new. I downloaded Flash, and checked functionality. There's a quite big issue with embed YouTube videos - they lag, a lot. Sound is normal, but video is really laggy. Although I noticed that when I touch the screen and keep my finger there, it displays video normally, as soon as I release it, it starts lagging again.
The tab is now rooted, running the newest overcome, but the issue showed up on the stock gingerbread and on overcome as well. I've tried playback on default browser and on Dolphin HD on all ROMs, and ran the One Click Lag Fix as well, nothing helped. The YouTube app works fine though, it's only the embed videos.
I'd really appreciate any help with the issue - I've searched a lot but found nothing on this.
I'm running vegan tab gingerbread edition and flash works great, can play video through browser even with the default flash app found through the market. But I was wondering if its possible to get quality over 480P?
Thanks
Flash performance
I don't know of any Android devices that can credibly play flash videos in a browser at resolutions higher than 480p; some not even that dense. This has more to do with the underlying .flv format and Adobe's code implementation of Flash than with the device. My Galaxy Tab 10.1 will just barely do 480p inside a browser window - maybe 10-15 FPS if the content has substantial movement. But it can play it's own 720p videos at full frame rate without issue.
Part of the problem is, Android is an operating system, not a platform in the way that iOS+iPad hardware is. This leaves every phone and tablet manufacturer free to choose from a variety of processor and video implementations. This is one of the things I like most about Android - choice, and freedom (as in speech). But like any freedom, this one comes at a price, and that is the need for software developers to support a wide range of hardware implementations. This is not much of a problem for Angry Birds, but it is a huge problem for Adobe because the decoding of flash video is computationally intensive.
If Flash was open source the community would solve the problem, in the same way that the Linux Kernel runs on many platforms today. But the codecs involved in Flash (VP6, Sorenson H.263, H.264) are all protected by patent, and that makes open source a non-viable solution.
Adobe has not done a great job implementing Flash video for Android, in part I think because they know the war is already lost. The number of iPads in the wild (pushing 20 million this year, I think) and Apple's refusal to run Flash means that alternate solutions like HTML5 and custom video apps (think Hulu Plus or Netflix) will be developed no matter what Adobe does. So why pour money down a black hole?
Hopefully this will get better, as I would like to be able to watch 720p video on my 720p device using Flash. But I just don't think it is going to happen.
HTC sensation and Samsung galaxy s2 working 1080p plays video youtube....
My Samsung captivate with apex 9.3 with talon kernel can play 1080p on YouTube with dolphin hd. But my g tablet can only 720 poorly. But with Mx player I can watch 720p mkv,Avi, and mp4 no problem.
Edit: With Calkulin+Clemsyn 1.5ghz Froyo Combo 1.2 version 6, I was able to watch hd reviews on gametrailers. Even non overclocked using dolphin hd and latest flash from market.
Hi guys, the new flash player is available on market. What are your impressions?
I am on Topogigi v1.7SP1 and cannot notice any difference in flash playback (tried both stock and Opera browser). Anything over 480p is choppy as hell...
Find also nothing new...
I cant even play 480p anymore!? Not smooth at all !
What the hell?
I'm on Topogigi's 1.8.
Balano, try to restart the phone after installing flash, that seem to have helped me.
Worked, but still choppy at times it should not
But... I cant choose at what resolution youtube should play. The 240/360/480/720/1080p menu is gone I use Opera Mobile, since i cant choose useragent on stock browser.
Another problem, after playing a video, the screen turns off.
Testet with CNET news and youtube.
Impression:
Yeah, resolution menu problem is present in Opera for me as well. Actually it's still there and you can change the res, but it is invisible on the player bar???
In the default browser it is working properly (you don't have to change useragent, at the bottom of the page m.youtube.com, there is a link to show desktop version of YT).
And I agree, Flash 11 went downhill

You can change the user agent of the stock browser: Type in about:debug (like an adress), then you have more settings.
I have onecosmic rc3.1 running pretty well (not thrilled with the battery life), but I'm having an issue playing videos in the browser fullscreen.
Whenever I make a video fullscreen, the screen goes white. I've tried with both Dolphin HD (v7.3) and stock browser. The strange thing is, the Youtube app works ok as does Veetle.
Any suggestions?
