Do you have flashtool drivers installed? Try to put it on charger all the night and try again..
Also try another usb port
Do you had a custom rom before this happened?

Solved!
Upon charging I noticed that it goes to kernel reboots for about every 10 mins. So I prepared the .ftf files for flashing with rubber band trick press on the volume down.
Then voila if goes flashmode.
PS make sure you have enough battery coz flashing will be discontinued when your device is at dead battery state (don't worry it'll go soft brick again)
Thanks...
I'm sharing this for future reference.
Sold the device for few bucks...

[Q] Xperia T Boot-Loop after Update

Heyho!
I searched almost the whole day & web to find a solution for my problem, and you are my last instance.
My 1 day old Xperia T got into a Boot-Loop, and only the Sony-Logo shows up after starting the phone.
Previous procedure:
I installed the Sony PC Companion 2.1 and updated to 7.0.A.3.195, after this the phone went into the loop.
Now i can't flash any other software because USB-Debugging is off, and i didn't root the phone yet.
I tried to flash back to LT30p_7.0.A.1.303_Generic DE (found it here) but without Debugging = no flash.
Do you have any idea how i can flash or use any other FW without Debugging or Root?
Flashmode and Fastboot mode work in Xperia Flasher!
If you can stand loosing your data you could try a factory reset via recovery.
Info on how to access recovery menu is in the all-in-one thread.
If I helped, hit Thanks!

If you tried this via the official PCCompanion you could always take it back to the shop.
But i do suggest the following
1) Uninstalling pccomapnion
2) Redownload and install PCCompanion
3) Repair phone via PCComapnion. (You do not need USB debbuging for this)

The PCCompanion doesn't even recognize the phone because it always restarts. There are only 2 modes: loop or off.

I know what you mean, but when i plug in the USB-cable, the phone automatically turns on.
The menu is like this: SEARCH -> CONNECT (i plug in the cable) -> RECOGNITION -> at this point the phone is on for a few seconds
but it turns off and aborts the update!
This error appears: "PC Companion could not connect to the phone... please read the document troubleshooting".
But no point in this document helps me. There are only proposals like:
-use another USB port
- turn the phone off and on again
- Use another USB-cable
Seems like Sony bricked it with it's own software
Take it back to the shop then

while device is power ON
Volume Up + POWER (for 10 seconds) -> resets the battery, its like removing the battery and putting it back in [device will vibrate once]
Volume Up + POWER (for additional 5 seconds, total 15 seconds) -> will power off hard, device will power down [device will vibrate thrice]

You don't have to. You have to put the device in fastboot or flashmode which you reach by holding either vol-up or vol-down BEFORE respectively WHILE hooking the phone up to your pc.
But as greg said, undplug and completely power off your device and put it aside. Then start PC Companion and chose repair. PC Companion will then guide you through the steps necessary to get your phone to a state where it can be reflashed.
because it always restarts. There are only 2 modes: loop or off.

Not true, it does not restart by itself in either flashmode nor fastboot mode
As pointed out above, theres fastboot mode and flashmode which bypass the failing OS bootup

You obviously have no clue what a brick is. You have a bootlooping device which is nowhere near a brick. But that's probably a detail you're not interested in.
Try to follow the steps above to repair (=basically a full on, clean reflash in Sony vocabulary) your phone and get rid of the bootloop.
Hi guys.
first ever post in here!(because nearly all of the time i've found an answer here!! cheers!)
i've had exactly the same problem and been looking all over for a solution as i also have the boot loop problem occurring. tried the repair options in pc companion and also SUS. if i'm right the battery has to be above 50% to update and i'm pretty sure it's drained. i remember when flashing my htc one x when that was stuck in bootloop with low battery that to get enough battery I made a battery loop batch file which charged the device. however this was in fastboot mode and i don't think i have that option on my Xperia T. is there any way to charge the battery so as to attempt another repair?
Thanks in advance!

Just leave it plugged in. But i have used pccompanion when the battery has been as low as 10%.
I think you could try a hard reset. (Volume up and power button for 5-8 seconds, and then keep it pressed for a further20 seconds, untill it vibrates several times) Then try flashing a stock .303 file from the all in one thread via flashtool

tried the flashtool with the relevant ftf file but after an initial connection phase it kept bootlooping back out of 'connected mode'. however i left i (trial and error) and it did start to flash the ftf but initially it stopped around 40% then re-bootlooped. i messed around with vol- connection to usb and power plus vol+ shutdown method (which incidentally did not vibrate) serval times left it plugged in and each time it started but stopped flashing around 92-94% complete. having got frustrated i just thought what the hell and left it to attempt to charge overnight (i say attempt as this method never seemed to charge the device once i had this problem). Anyways i must've done something right (or not!:silly as i tried it again but today there must've been some charge applied as it flashed on the second attempt i tried (the first resulted in another aborted flash) it flashed my T no problem!:good:
thank you guys!
Glad it worked out for you.
But you activated USB-Debugging before your phone started looping right?

[Q] Xperia Z possible brick

After searching around I couldn't find anything related so here's my problem.
After succesfully unlocking the bootloader of my Xperia Z it continues to work fine.
It prompted the initial startup screen (enter language, account info ect.)
I turned my device off and on... this is where the problem starts..
This is what i get
Sony brand logo>
Xperia brand logo>
5 repeated cloud animation of xperia logo and at the last one it stalls, Phone reboot and back to 0.
This goes on repeatedly until a hard poweroff or complete discharge ( I suppose)
So I know im kinda screwed, is relocking the bootloader any option? Contacting Sony atm for some sort of software replacement/flash anything..
Cheers, Geert
Try the safe mode, keep pressing vol down with power until the phone boot completely.
If the phone boot to safe mode than do a factory reset.

Welcome to XDA
you should go to the recovery thread in my signature. Read the first 2 posts.
Hope you recover your phone.
Hi everyone !
I have the same problem as GeertNool. My Xperia is stuck in the same loop. I have tried everything.
- Flashboot : stuck at 0% when i try to flash
- Pc Companion and SEUS = dead ends
- Safe mode : cant make it work
I read the recovery thread. It seems that the Kernel is malfunctioning but i dont understand what should be my next move. Am i supposed to let the phone reboot endlessly untill eventually the battery dies ?
Thanks a lot for your precious answers.

Yes.
When the battery dies the phone should reset itself.
After the loops end plug into a charger, not pc for now.
You should get a red led indicating low battery level charging is working.
After the red led you may get Sony boot screen or bootloops.
If you get Sony and then the charging battery icon, then charge to over 50%. Then use pc companion or flashtool to restore.
If you get bootloops then read my 2nd post from the recovery thread in my signature for bootloop tricks.
Please let me know if it works. I am looking to add the Xperia Z to my recovery guide.
If there are any questions about my guide please ask in that thread.
Thanks

Try this: hold power and VolUp for about 15 seconds. The device should vibrate 3 times in a row. It should now be off. Don't plug it in anywhere.
Download the correct flashtool beta for xperia z http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2162907
Download a known-to-work firmware ftf
Put it into C:\Flashtool\Firmwares
Open flashtool (flashtool64 if you run 64bit Windows)
Chose Flash (flash arrow button)
Chose the ftf you downloaded
Enable "Wipe: Data, Cache, Appslog"
Click flash
A new window opens with a "press back button" animation
Now plug in the device while ONLY holding VolDown. Only VolDown, no Power. The LED should turn green.
Don't interrupt the flashing process. It will take a while.
Report back if it worked.

I have the same issue here, the phone suddenly dead. Charge it using AC adaptor and wall socket and the red led flashs for about 2 hours, the orange LED never turns on. Try your advice and got this:
1) Vol up + Power not work (no vibration, nothing)
2) Flash with flashtool 0.9.10.2 beta6 with no lucky, indicated "device disconnected" after animation gone.
3) regress to flashtool 0.9.10.1, device connected and then stuck at "flashing data.....", the progress bar stay at 0% and then nothing.
P.S. bootloader is still locked but phone is ROOTED so I'm affraid it's out of warranty. Just got the phone as a birthday gift from my wife yesterday! She'd kill me if she knows that.
Update:
1) Power + Vol Up works now. The sequence does matter, I found I have to press the Power button first and then Vol Up, it dosen't work vise versa.
2) flashing still doesn't work for me. And I noticed that the LED turn green and then turn off immediately. I'm not sure if that is the cause. I'm sure when in fastboot mode (connect to USB port when pressing Vol Up), the LED turn blue and stay blue. Is my flash mode corrupted?? That's really bad!

Returning to stock
Hey guys,
I've flashed [ROM][JB 4.2.2][CM10.1][AOKP-MR1][PananoidAndroid 3.15] PAC v22.1.1 - Update: 0508 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2208249&page=65. It's working, but I'd like to try another ROM, specifically Xperia Z Revolution™ from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2175903. This requires to install stock 10.1.A.1.434 firstly So I downloaded C6603_10.1.A.1.434_Generic DE, NL, world. Flashing with Flashtools 0.9.10.1 always stucks at 0%.
BL unlocked. Does anyone have any idea how to get stock 434 in the phone? Originally there were older one 10.1.A.1.340, if it's somehow important to know...

Xperia Z1 not powering on

Hi guys, I'm new with Xperia phones and also new with rooting, flashing and using recoverys..
I installed a new rom on my device (iHackers rom). When i started installing I had like 25% of battery. When I finished the installation (I didn't flash recovery again because I did that with the help of my computer before, so file - zip was not on my phone) I rebooted my phone. So here's where the problem begins. My phone wouldn't turn on. Black screen all the way. Tried the red button near the SIM card, tried power button and volume up/down, tried power button..nothing powered my phone on, but vibrations were there. The red LED is blinking when i charge the battery (idk if it's even charging). If I take the phone out of the charger, the red LED stops blinking. I can't turn my phone on or get into the recovery mode even after 20 minutes of charging on 220v.
Guys please help..I'm in panic here.

Fastboot or flashmode working or not ?
The first your mistake was to flash with 25% of battery. It's wrote everywhere to do a installation with a fully charged phone. Now probably in the middle of the installation the phone died and the installation was not completed and this mean your phone is corrupted and dead. The only advice I have now for you to left the phone under charger all night, next day with phone switched off keep push volume down and connect the phone via usb to PC, if the PC will recognize the device and it will install drivers flash a Stock FTF straight a way.

Your battery is dead. Does the phone feel warm? Leave it plugged in to charge for a while (at least a few hours, maybe overnight) and it might come back.
Like the OTA warnings says, do not try to flash your phone if less than 50% battery is available. If you do, you are only asking for trouble.

When I woke up in the morning the phone was not warm..it was hot..the whole day i was trying to bring it back to life but there were still only vibrations. When I connect it to my computer, the drivers get installed, but the power on button and combination power button+volume down don't work. The only combination that works is power button+volume up(the phone vibrates 3 times but still stays in the same condition). FlashTool doesn't recognize the phone either.
hold power+volume up. then phone vibrates 3 times and should switch off. wait a minute then try to switch it on just normal. does it slightly vibrate?
now try this again, now with charger pluged in. what happens then?

I think i have solved it..I left phone charging for 3 hours (without heating up), and then i plugged it in my computer. In PC Companion (yeah I never thought it would be that easy), i could restore my phone without even powering it on. I'm now downloading updates..But when I connected, flashtool detected that my fone is in flashmode.

I'm now downloading updates..But when I connected, flashtool detected that my fone is in flashmode.
:highfive:

Just wants to said same thing - it's probably in fastboot mode but the battery is dead, just plug it and try flashtool or fastboot.
But O.K.
One advice - guys already post that, I posted that many times as well but...
Never, never, never do that if your battery isn't fully charged.
Charge battery to 100% and restart to TWRP and check your battery percentage...
and you'll see why - it never shows correct info.
The other day I was flashing ROM and had 87% when I flashwd and boot my battery shown 36% and stayed on 36% for a few hours...that's not problem when you are in OS but when you stuck on powered off device - it could be very tricky to power it back.
That's why you can't update official ftf if you don't have more than 50% of battery power...

Hello I'm new to xperia Z1.
I also rooted and installed ihacker rom v3.
My battery was fully charged. But after installation my phone is not starting.
In flash mode when I try to flash the stock it disconnects and reconnects. I'm not even able to install stock rom now.

No it's not.
Ihackers is working without any problems...
I said that many times but I'll repeat...
When you are flashing ROM (ftf) through flashtool, don't connect device immediately.
Open flashtool, select ftf and hit start.
Wait until flashtool say "connect device"
Then plug usb cable while holding vol down.
That way you'll prevent device to restart while it's waiting flashtool to prepare ftf...

[Q] T-Mobile Z1S brick

I rooted my z1s today, then i installed recovery then flashed the rom for our phone made by tactic, all was well but everytime i booted the phone it always said android is upgrading, then it went through all the apps, so i thought why don't i just wipe system cache data and dalvik, then install the rom again, big mistake at first it booted to the sony logo got stuck, i kept turning it off then on 3 times, then after that i just went into flash mode with the led turning blue, after that i turned it off to save battery because i didn't download the ftf and flashtool yet, so after all that is downloaded i try to go into that mode again by plugging it into my computer then volume up and power but then it shows a red led for a brief second then stays black screen, not on ithink. When plugged into my computer it shows usb device not recognized so the phone is still alive. so my question is, what can i do to save my phone? pleeease help :crying: and yes i kind of literally cried

You wiped the system and then wonder why there is no system?
Just repair your phone using pccompanion to get back to stock
Or
Flash a Z1S FTF using flashtool.
Then, spend some reading the threads and learning what to do before blindly flashing and wiping stuff.

Have you tried using them yet?
In your last post you say you have not even downloaded flashtool yet?
Download it, run driver.exe from the driver folder in the installation path. Choose flashmode, fastboot and Z1 drivers
then run flashtool and attach the phone with it turned on.
Detach the phone
Attach the phone again in flashmode.
Please post the log from flashtool here

My phone doesn't even shutoff, no vibrations etc, just the computer saying device not recognized, and the phone was unplugged while trying to turn it off
flash tool also says device disconnected? and i can't upload the log file
Press and hold the power and volume up until it vibrates 3 times. Then it is off.
Just copy and paste the window from flashtool here.

Press and hold both of them at the same time

Blue LED means fastboot, for flashmode you need a green LED
Press volume down for flashmode and volume up for fastboot.

[Q] Bricked? Phone won't turn on. Blinking red on charge; solid red on power button

hey everyone,
I recently got a warranty replacement of my xperia z3 compact. It came with the latest 5.1.1. I downgraded to .77 (kitkat) through flashtool, rooted, installed the latest dual recovery. In TWRP, I restored one of my old TWRP backups, which was a .28 (lollipop 5.0 I believe). When I press reboot after restoring, the phone won't turn on anymore. No LED or anything. When I plug it into the charger, the LED blinks red. When I hold down the power button while charging, the LED light became solid red.
Flashtool doesn't recognize the phone. What else can I do? Did I corrupt the bootloader? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.
happened to me, just flash any stock firmware with flashtool (it doesnt need to be recognised) and do not plug in until it tells you to.
then follow the instructions and wipe everything
hope it helps

I tried flashing with flashtool, but when I plug the phone in when asked to, flashtool does not recognize the phone being plugged in.
Do you know why this happened? Did I do anything (downgrade firmware, flash wrong firmware) that caused this to happen?
I cant tell what did it, because flashing any rom will brick mine to this state, and what do you mean by not recognised? Does it say preparing files for flashing? does it give the 'press volume down and power button' pop up?

yes, after it's done preparing files for flashing, a popup appears which tells me to plug in the phone while holding the volume down button. When I plug in the phone, nothing happens. The flashing process doesn't start

Do you be sure to hold the power and volume down button before and during the time you plug it in, until the pop up disappears?
Had something similar, but flashtool magically fixed it

I know it's a late reply, but my Z3c is rooted and running marshmellow. My phone would do the same thing, I thought it was bricked. After monkeying and monkeying it finally came back. The problem was I let the battery drain all the way to 0, and even while plugged in for a bit it didn't do anything. I think it liked it when I would plug it into my laptop instead of the power outlet. From then on, I haven't had the problem because I try to avoid the battery going completely dead.
Although the last time I did by accident, it did come back after plugging it in. My suggestion? Try plugging and charging it in your laptop and then turn on.
