Ive Noticed Ever Since Purchasing My Tilt (about 3 Weeks Now) I Have Had To More And More, Have To Sleep On The Couch (my Wifes Doing). Is There A Rom Or Hack For This Problem.
......sorry I Could Not Resist.......
Maybe you should see if there's a CAB available that will remove her. I know there's a Yellow cab ready at all times
Also, see if you can find a registry hack that will disable the annoying capitalizing of every word in your posts. We Don'T Have To Capitalize Every Word Cause It's Annoying, and it wont qualify you for better parking if your CAPS lock is only partially disabled.

I have had the same problem! And it got pretty bad for a few days, until I figured out a solution.
This is a bit complicated so pay very close attention (or you may want to jot these instructions down to refer to later):
1. turn the phone to look at the right side of the unit
2. locate a tiny button with a little red symbol on it. (You may have used this jewel of a button to awake your awesome Kaiser (a.k.a. at&t Tilt) phone when it has fallen asleep (while you got distracted for a few moments).
3. PRESS this button for only 1-second and release. I have learned - through trial and error - that this button also turns OFF the phone. BUT DONT WORRY! It's not really off, its just sleeping and you will still receive calls, text messages and even calendar event reminders (whew I worried about receiving these!).
I know these instructions can be very stressful, but they may have saved my marriage. I would highly consider you trying this procedure at least once an evening (like during meals, when your spouse is trying to communicate with you, and especially (grin) at 1am while your laying in bed browsing the xda-developers forums for all the cool tools, cabs and Roms out there and your wife rolls over and says, "don't you ever put that thing down??!!"
;-)
Sorry about the caps i wa not paying attention.

I thought your post was funny. This place can use more light-hearted comedy.

You have to make sure you get the right kind of cab though... It can be confusing because here in the DC area yellow cabs aren't yellow, they are bright orange??? You must be very careful because you must be sure you really want to do that before you run the cab. It is usually very painful, difficult, and expensive to uninstall the wife update. Even then if you manage to partially uninstall the wife, if you have added new devices to your PAN while the wife update was installed then it may take up to 18 years to fully uninstall the wife. It wrecks havoc with your network settings, and often once uninstalled the wife update will often take half of your network resources and permissions with it (sometimes all of them!). Also be very careful of MIL.dll. It often installs itself in the background when the wife update is being installed. MIL.dll is often considered spyware, nagware, and often it falls within both categories, but there is often nothing much that can be done about MIL.dll without uninstalling the wife update. Some feel it is worth starting all over again with just a bare-bones system, but most feel that the benefits of the wife update outweigh the negatives. It is better to live with the occasional problems that the wife update may cause, than to try and remove it.
Try hard reseting her. Hold down both of her soft nipples and stick your stylus in her butt. That should get quick results. haha

I knew I was doing something wrong, I kept putting her in bootloader mode but she said she'd never done that before!

I thought sticking your stylus in the wrong hole caused permanent damage to your pins?!

I'm using Dutty's special Bottylicious ROM. Works great with softcore resets like that! haha
LMAO! Maybe you could just install another cab Iv seen around, It's called abitontheside.cab, it can be simply installed without going through all the bother of unstalling the wife update. Just make sure you dont run both at the same time as Iv heard they can conflict with each other.
I bought my wife an iPhone, now she can't say anything because she spends just as much time surfing the web and playing with the other 4 things you can do with an iPhone
When I try to use GPS, it randomly goes back to vertical when the phone is placed with the buttons to the right, but seems to work OK with buttons to the left. Many pictures are oriented in the wrong directions. Also, Words with Friends is totally unusable, because it seems to think that I am shaking it constantly, so it is continuously shuffling the letters.
[rant]Samsung is pissing me off to no end. I have installed and set up my phone probably 4-5 times now, which is a complete and total PITA. I am on my third phone now, and it's not working right, this is FREAKING RIDICULOUS. Samsung needs to make a decent product. The software sucks too, which then requires a ROM flash to make the phone usable, which is another massive PITA. What really pisses me off is that AT&T refuses to get decent Android phones from other manufacturers like Verizon has, so we're stuck with these awful Samsung phones. And yes, I am going to go out and buy the i927 when it comes out, because there's nothing else decent available for AT&T, even though it will probably be a POS too.[/rant]
AT&T Galaxy S3, unrooted, stock rom 4.4.2.
So yesterday on my way out of the office, I noticed that Accuweather said it was 95 degrees outside but the weather card on my Gear Live said it was 72. Weird, but whatever.
On the way home my wife sent me a chat via hangouts, and I replied using voice from the watch.
At home about a half hour later, I tried to set a reminder using "ok, google"....and nothing happened. Tried 7 or 8 times to get the watch to recognize the command with no luck. So then I tapped the watch face to try to get it to start listening so I could set a reminder and it couldn't hear me. It just went to the list of commands. Now even in hangouts it doesn't recognize that I'm speaking.
I'm using the Google Now Launcher on my GS3. I have Ok Google Everywhere turned on there, and in the voice search widget I can see the microphone icon go to "deactivated" when I do the wrist gesture thing on the watch to get it to start listening to me.
It's almost like my microphone hardware went bad
I've rebooted the watch several times and the phone as well. I am using Airwatch MDM and it was updated July 31st. I am not sure if "Ok, Google" has worked since then because I'm not sure I used it this weekend.
I think my next steps are to remove Airwatch to eliminate that variable, but it's required for me to get my work email and calendar on my phone.
Anyone else had a similar problem? Any suggestions?
I had something similar happen to me a few weeks ago. I would say "OK google" and nothing happened. After a couple of hours though, it started working and hasn't happened since.

So--in this order--I've reset the watch, removed Airwatch, decrypted the phone, reinstalled the Wear app....and I got nothin.
Paired it with another phone and same thing.
Called Google, went through all that again while on the phone with a tech (bless her heart, it can't be easy being tech support for a brand new product that pretty much only technophiles buy).
40 minutes later...She had to pass it on to level 3 or whatever, and I'm expecting to be contacted within 48 hours.
I'm having the same issue. Did you get any solution?

I hope it's not a hardware issue.
I had a similar issue (voice completely stopped worked... ok google, as well as touching the screen and then giving a command). I did a complete device reset twice, as well as used the toolkit to wipe/reinstall. Nothing fixed it. Called google, who just confirmed that I did everything they would have, and had a new device shipped out to me. I have to return the broken one. Called them Monday morning and had the new device Tuesday afternoon

So I, too, called google and they shipped me a new watch under warranty. I'm glad I'm not the only one who's had this problem, BUT....
Now my *NEW* watch has done the same thing!

I too am on my third watch being shipped out today in fact. New one worked just fine for 2 weeks and then no microphone at all even after a compete device reset.
Add one more to the list. Just got off the phone with Google, sending me a new watch. I am admittedly a bit nervous, hearing that even the replacements are having the same issue. I wonder what the refund protocol would be in that case?
Just an FYI for anyone down the road, they do put a hold on your card for the cost of the watch, and say it will be released "within 21 days" of receiving the defective unit.

I was told if the 3rd one had any issues whatsoever they would issue a refund. Just an FYI
Same here.... It is randomly working for me.... Most of the times it does not work.
I have reset the watch 3 times already and seems to be working for some minutes and then it stops working again
Looking back at my calendar, I was in an extremely loud (hearing protection required) environment the day before i noticed my first watch failed and immediately before the second one failed.
I don't see anything in the manual or warranty that indicates this is a problem, but I now suspect the mic couldn't handle it.

Interesting theory... I work in a shop where hearing protection is required, plus I go shooting at an indoor gun range. I don't remember if either prior warranty replacement happened right after extended time on the shop floor or shooting range, but i'll keep it in mind.

I think you are right. Number 3 no longer works after I went to the range today...
I went to the shooting range yesterday and had to exchange my Gear Live at Best Buy today. The microphone clearly can't take the SPL. I would suggest not wearing your Gear Live in any environment that requires hearing protection.

Mine quit responding after I went shooting. My second stopped after using a saws all.
Same problem, but don't think it's hardware...
First watch I had was dead out the box. Second one was fine for a month, then occasionally it would stop listening to voice commands. Sometimes "OK google" would work, other times not. Then later it would work again. No reset or charging or any interruption between it working and not. Sometimes when "OK google works, the "speak now" screen would come up, but it would no longer listen - so it can't be a hardware thing since it heard me immediately before it stopped working, and in fact I can go back to the watch face, say "OK google" again, it'll go to the "speak now" screen, and again won't respond. Also, when it's on the "speak now" screen, after a pause it just scrolls down to the next option in the menu ("take a note", "Play music" etc). I haven't used it anywhere loud (no gun ranges or anything), and the problem is sporadic, but frequent enough to be unusable as it should be. I did all the usual to try to fix the problem (re-pairing, removing apps, resetting, restarting, including a factory reset) but to no avail.
I have sent it back for another replacement ($200 temporarily on my card...), but I'm worried about this problem, and the dead out of the box issue. If it happens again, I'm going to get a refund, and choose another watch. Such a shame because this was a Christmas gift for me.
Same problem
I was looking for someone with the same problem as mine and found this post. Happens exactly the same for me and, reading your answers I realized the microphone stopped working the day after I went to a shooting range too. In real my voice commands do not stop working at all, but I have to SCREAM besides the watch to work.
My problem is, I live in Brazil, and bought a used watch during a business trip to the USA, than I don't have the coupon, or warranty. Anyone knows if it is possible to change only the microphone? seems difficult to replace welds on this boards. I guess will I have to replace the complete main board. Does someone have done that already? It is hard to find replacement parts for these watches...

Just to complete the information, according to IFixIt (www .ifixit .com/ Teardown/Samsung+Gear+Live+Teardown/27038 - remove the spaces on the beggining of the link), the microphone is a InvenSense ICS-43430 (I don't know how they know that, because on the picture, over the mic is written NL2031).
Considering this is the right component, it is really cheap to buy a replacement - store .invensense .com/ProductDetail/ICS43430-InvenSense-Inc/495200
Than lasts only the final question. It is possible to replace this component? People who gave cell phone assistance should be able to do that?
same here.
Count me in. The microphone stop, working about after 3 weeks. The problem is I live in Greece and i bought it through ebay from US so no documents nothing. Isnthere any solution on this?
Alright since the first day of release when I got the phone, the keyboard has been acting all funky. There are times that the autocorrect does nothing to correct any mistakes (like "im" to I'm"), nor does it tag misspelled words (doesn't tag "thr" or "adlalkdj" as a wrong spelling). Here's another weird one: oftentimes I correct a misspelled word I just typed, corrected it, and when I hit space, the whole word disappears. Like if I typed in "thr" oh I just hit backspace and replaced r with e, hit space and the whole word disappears (like wow really, Samsung?). Keep in mind this is a brand new phone. Typing has never been the same. Could it be the keyboard data was transferred by Smart Switch when I shifted from my S7 Edge? I've reset the keyboard so many times and it still gives me the same issues. After doing a lot of research online, seems that no one else is having an issue so it might be a software issue for my device specifically. I really don't want to factory reset the phone at this point.
Any thoughts?
No issues whatsoever. updated to Swiftkey 5 minutes after I took it out the box.
You are NOT the only one. Check the Note 7 thread and Android Central forums. I have the same issue. Read that people recommend Chrooma Keyboard cause it cause no lag. I was having issues with Swiftkey.

Same here the stock keyboard is screwed up massively and it's only the T-Mobile variant. Also the fact that it uses Samsung voice input instead of google voice input which is horrible and will not allow you to curse. I've looked into this and on the Sprint, AT&T and Verizon Note 7's they all work just like my s7 did, Seamless with google voice input but not the T-Mobile phone. I really hope this gets fixed asap.

It's a software issue with their keyboard.
same here. ive even checked all my settings. kinda annoying and makes you type slower lol
idk i dont have that problem. but i also have autocorrect off. i never liked it. And most sites will highlight incorrectly spelled works, so i saw no need for it. And if i didnt know how to spell a work i speak to text it lol..
I had no problem with my T-Mobile version but I switched over to google keyboard after a while because I was use to typing on that on my previous device.

I'm used to the Samsung Keyboard but I've also switched to Google Keyboard because of the terrible auto-correct currently with the Samsung one. Can't wait for our first software update.
yes, its extremely annoying
ill mispell a word, backspace to correct it, and when i hit space the whole. word disapears.
i moved to swiftkey which sucks compared to Samsungs key board.
where is the patch!?
On my old phone, Samsung keyboard's auto correct feature literally didn't allow me to type word that wasn't in the dictionary, which drove me bananas. I turned off auto correct, problem solved. N7 keyboard is much better in that regard, but if I have any problems in future, will just do the same, turn off auto correct. A lot of my typing is not in dictionary like txs, tks, plse etc. so no big loss. I like Samsung keyboard more than any other.
Yeah, I heard good things about the stock keyboard, decided to try with the new 7, same issues as op, finally installed SwiftKey, no problems.

My new s7 edge is doing exactly the same thing yours is. Sometimes if i correct a word, hit space, it will actually erase everyyhing I've written! It can't spell much of anything i may need to double check
I was just trying to add a thesaurus to the dictionary but its impossible.
i swear a lot, my mother always told me that it made me sounds uneducated, but it never stopped me. when i use speech to text half of what i say gets **** out. this setting doesn't seem to make a difference. any ideas?
