Hey guys. I'm hoping someone with more knowledge will be able to help. I was previously rooted using CF Autoroot and tried to install TWRP when it was released. Tried to flash it with Odin but it failed so I Odined to the latest firmware and tried to reroot but that failed and I'm currently unrooed.
Any ideas?

Reflash back to stock using ODIN, root using CF-Root, download Flashify from the Play Store and use that to flash TWRP. Of course, follow all directions to each step to the "T".
I'll give that a try tonight after work and report back.

Mine said "failed" too. Nothing I could do would make any difference. So I unplugged the phone, pulled the battery waited a few seconds and powered back on. To my amazement, the rooting process continued and when it rebooted, I was rooted. Same thing happened when I odined twrp.
Charlie
Same thing happened to me! Been struggling with this 24 hrs now.
Solved!!!
I solved my problem by doing a factory reset on the phone in the settings>backup/reset>factory reset or something like that then going through the rooting process outlined by TEKHD.
Hope this helps everyone else having the same problem.
OK I GOT IT GUYS! If you have the reactivation lock checked in the security setting then its preventing odin from doing its thing. Just uncheck that and it should work.
Long story short, I installed Xposed and my device went into a boot loop or just stuck at the T Mobile splash screen.
I factory reset and format data to try and fix the problem.
Now I don't have an operating system on my phone.
Where can I get the system for my phone? I have a SM-910T
I was on COD6 and was reading about COG2 being abailable now?
What are the differences?
Thanks for input
Uum my guess is to Odin back to stock...you do still have download mode on your phone right?
You shouldn't have formatted, reset would have sufficed. Odin back to stock and you should be good to go.
There are threads here that have the stock image or goto sammobile. TEKHD has the stock image in his threads, under android devlopment.

I reset it a few times as well as clear cache and dalvik and nothing. Phone would be on T Mobile screen for 1 hour and still nothing.
So I thought I had to wipe everything. I got stock COD6 and it self updated to COG2 right after it booted.
Will be rooting in an hour or so!
Thanks guys!!!!

i have the same problem with my note 4 ..i wiped out my OS ..can someone help how can i install them back??
i followed all the steps till backing up stock ROM mentioned http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/general/xt1063-t3018818 here to root my xt1068 running 5.0.2. now i got the stagefright patch update. What do i have to do to install the update now?
Please guide me regarding unrooting. and I didn't change the ROM. I'm still running stock 5.0.2. i just rooted the device.
[Solved] I unrooted using SuperSu. Reset the phone and flashed the stock recovery with the help of reefuge's file. and normally updated the device by checking for updates. Again reset the phone after updating. As of now everything is working fine.

if you havea back up via TWRP restore it then flash back correct stock recovery there are several version for xt1068
if unsure see my signature for easy installer of 5.0.2 stock rom (blue links) this will restore everything to as new out of box
Hey instead of bothering with all this, should I just install CyanogenMod ROM? I'm really afraid to ruin my phone trying to restore stock recovery. I'm really in need of suggestions now.

just install a recovery image to match rom - tell me build number and system version in about phone and i will find correct recovery from my collection and show you how to flash
as long as its a xt1068 recovery and you flash it correctly even if its wrong build version it wont do harm phone would boot and get ota updates - just wont install updates.........
xt1068 can take ANY xt1068 regional version of rom - i have made my UK phone a german/ brazil / global just by flashing regional versions of 5.0.2
Built number LXB22.46-28
System version 22.21.28titan_retaildsds.retaildsdsall.en.03 retin
you must have motorola device manager 2.5.4 installed (this installs titan fastboot drivers) you can re install and choose repair if unsure
download attached zip file to pc and unzip
plug in usb cable and put phone into AP FASTBOOT MODE
this is done by holding power and volume down till screen goes black and chimes then still holding volume down release power count to 5 and release vol down - should now be in boot loader / ap fastboot mode
run recovery flasher.bat from inside unzipped folder on pc
Thank you. And should I restore through twrp even though I'm still on stock ROM? Or just do what you said without bothering about anything else? Cause I'm rooted and I read in your other post that we need to unroot too?

Don't use kingroot! That's a very bad method to root your phone and also causes the long booting times. Also kingroot has nothing to do with chainfires rooting toolkit. That's ok and if you used it (after unlocking bootloader) I apologize.
In both cases do what @reefuge wrote, install the rom from his signature. Check if you got the right version for your model.
please my system hangs logo error after upgrade IOIO v4.2 [ For Both Single/Dual Sim Variants, via TWRP,,,and i try upgred firmware from sammobile via ODIN successful but still do not want to run :crying: I've tried to tell the samsung service and they say I have to replace the motherboard without warranty....:crying:
Did you try a factory reset? That is what i would do followed by flashing the original firmware (or latest available) for my device through ODIN.
I've already done it....please help me to this complete
I guess there's not much more you can do if you already wiped your device and flashed the correct official firmware for your device.
What was it exactly you were trying to flash that made it all go bad?
You could also give 'Smart Switch' a try on pc. There's an Emergency Software Recovery feature, but never used it so not sure you needed to make a backup first or if the program is going to download it for you.

hi,
as far as i know, Smart Switch will not work /give errors on a rooted device. So he will be waisting his time.?
If you stock not rooted most probably, it should work.
Secondly,
OP , have you tried flashing your device correct, latest stock Rom (not just any Rom) , and try using Odin v 3.10. 7...... (.?)
good luck
has done the right way, if the samsung service does not have the software firmware. and I defer to the replacement motherboard ... because the prices are so high, that I know it's only a matter system firmware Why do I have to replace the entire machine ... I ask for help from friends here what should I do?:crying:

Flash stock firmware via Odin, once successful (PASS) go to stock recovery and do a factory reset (format data, format cache) and reboot to system.

Notice I can only do the download mode. and if I entered recovery mode can only perform a data wipe and disable ADB reboot.apply the update, disable from external storage, cache from disable.dm-verity verification failed. I have to do to install the firmware from Odin was PASS successful when its results remain the same reboot hang stak SAMSUNG logo.

If you really did the steps I mentioned to you and still see error, you have to go back to Samsung Service Centre.
Edit: Btw after a factory reset, it will take a while booting up.

Samsung won't bother to spend time checking what's wrong with your firmware. Can't boot? Do a firmware reflash. Still can't boot? Do a motherboard replacement. That's it.

I dont know, and maybe this is my fault. My first root with Odin and kernel arter97 and succeed. Next day I tried to install Xpose. then I update version 75.3 XPOSED-sdk22-tw-arm64-bustom build by WANAM via TWRP forget to backup from EFS. logo hangs here already occurred but TWRP still functioning. then I proceed with installing IOIO v4.2 with TWRP work then I do wipe data through recovery and reboot...
Any can help me please...?:crying:
everyone here misleaded you, in twrp wipe your all partitons including your device internal storage, then go to download mode and flash firmware via odin. Software if running and stuck at logo shows its more like software error not hardware, i am amazed to see because of rom this happened as kernel is more likely harm device. I am sure you made a mistake somewhere, dont be upset just try stock firmware it will fix the issue, if one firmware is not working try to download other one, try try and try
if you are stuck on initial screen this is more like kernel issue. try to flash custom kernel like skyhigh

+1. This sounds as simple as flashing stock firmware via ODIN (make sure it's the latest ODIN and latest firmware), then booting into stock recovery and doing a factory reset. Make sure you give it plenty of time to boot after you do this as well. It has to rebuild the dalvik which can take a while.
After you root, if you flash stock firmware back onto the device, you will almost always get a bootloop unless you factory reset. This will, however, wipe everything you have on your phone (Photos, SMS, apps). This happened to me as well and this method solved the issue.
EDIT: Also, I'm sure this goes without saying, but make sure you have the correct firmware for your device model.
If I failed what should be done? thank you all I will try it tomorrow. Today my note still in samsung service center
this is normal issue a little hard work is needed

You need to download full firmware package bootloder pda modem csc put your phone to download mood ad all file with code and flash go to http://www.tsar3000.com/Joomla/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&id=55&Itemid=82 and find your phone model stock
---------- Post added at 07:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:27 PM ----------
But make sure you download full package and your country code example i have a s3 India code dd 100% solved your problem
I was trying to install TWRP on my Note 5 using odin and everything worked perfectly. I even got the green "PASS" icon. But when it rebooted, I turned off the phone to boot into TWRP using Home+Power+Vol Up, and I got a installing system updates icon, then a fallen android bot with a yellow cross sign on top, and then it loaded into default android recovery, not TWRP. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thank you very much!!
This happend to me too. What you need to do is to flash a custom kernel for your device because you installed a custom recovery and what happens is that that the stock kernel stops working or it gets erased, but the fix for the problem is flashing a custom kernel.

I can't flash it through custom recovery because I can't get to it
But before you flash the TWRP again to your device and the kernel you need to download the official firmware for your Note 5 because it seems that you messed up real bad with you phone.
Just google official firmware N9208 and download it to then flash it through ODIN in download mode, then after installing the Firmware boot up the phone and set it up, after that you go to Developers Mode and enable OEM and USB Debugging, after that you download the kernel i provided above for your N9208 IN YOUR PHONE. Afterwards, go to Download Mode and flash TWRP through ODIN in your phone and then boot up the recovery and flash the kernel that is in thr internal storage of your phone in the Download folder. Now the phone should br rooted. If you still didn't understand the instructions then look up this video https://youtu.be/We6OUJvzve0
hope it works for you ?
