So I wanted more from my Kia Sportage than what I was getting so I decided to install a Nexus 7 along with my factory HU. Since I am not making this a standalone HU many things will not be an issue. Currently I am waiting on a few parts to come in that have been ordered so I have been working on the screens for the unit. Here is what I currently have setup.

Torque: engine stats
Torque: track stats, mainly for show since its a Kia Sportage
Nice. I'm thinking of the same for my jeep grand cherokee
so far I really like the way my setup is headed, very easy to use and the info that I want....auto makers take note lol

Looks pretty cool
It looks like ICade the company that produced the highly successful ICade cabinets to retrofit your IPAD as an old school arcade game has now put together a pretty sweet looking controller that is compatible with Android devices that they call the “8-bitty” . It won’t be available till later this year, but this looks to be a wish list item for sure! The 8-bitty will be rocking 8 buttons, 4 on the face, and two shoulder buttons, the dpad controls all the moving. This will be compatible with all the games that are currently compatibel with the ICaDe such as pacman and 100s of other retro arcade games!

If it's done properly, i'll take OEM any day over aftermarket solutions...

I couldn't see a head unit in that article. The article outlines Waze integration. How nice.

Seat's OEM headunit. Go to their website and look for pictures on how does the OEM units look like in new car models, like the Ateca.
I suspect it's the same as Skoda Kodiaq/Karooq and new VW Tiguan units.
No aftermarket solution can ever match the functionality and integration of a properly designed OEM unit...

I know in car settings there are several choices for radar should see the choice for turning on radar and choose the type of radar
Hello Super-Experts, please help.
On a recent video of a blogger he does a split acreen of Android Auto on the Hyundai Kona EV 2020 X-CLASS 64 KWh.
I tried almost everything (even dev. settings and modifyng to 1080p th App), but... at the end this is the solution:
... the "secret" is NOT to have the mobile phone connected by cable to the car.
At that point the fateful menu appears from SETTINGS / DEVICE CONNECTION / CONNECTION SETTINGS (PHONE PRIOECTION SETTINGS) / ANDROID AUTO / USE SPLIT SCREEN

Hoping that someone who watches OTA TV on their cellphone using HDHomeRun hardware, can hack the app to allow it to continue playback with screen off.
That way, we can LISTEN to the TV while the phone is in our pocket.
I personally want it so I can listen to sports games while doing chores around the house and mowing the yard.
