Can someone help me create this tasker profile ?
Description : When wifi is connected, Data goes off and when disconnected Data turns on automatically. At the same time I would like to have Wifi/Data turned on/off depending on display state. Data/Wifi turned off when screen goes off. And turned on when screen unlocked.
Any sort of help would be appreciated.

Would be nice if it was possible to turn Wlan off automatically when the screen turns off, and after some time of inactivity.
Right now the Wlan comes on every time I turn on my Diamond from sleep, it is only possible to temporary turn it off when device is sleeping. But is there a way to turn it off completely, so I have to manually turn it on again?
its like that in default mode,.... wifi is halted when device goes to sleep mode
you need advanced config or diamond tweak to DISABLE this ( keep wifi enabled in sleep mode)
try that
I was playing around with the Wi-Fi sleep policy settings and I am little bit confused how it really works.
The default setting is something like: "turn off wifi when screen is turned off".
So as I understand it it should disable wifi when the screen is turned off.
However when I checked my device list at my router it seemed that my n1 was still connected through wif, even after the screen was turned off. Only after 5-10 minutes wifi was really disconnected (when I turned on the screen again the wifi symbol in the top bar appeared after some seconds). I read somewhere that there is a difference between disabling wifi and disconnecting wifi?
BTW. the wifi sleep policy is supposed to save battery because it is said that 3G in idle mode requires less power than a wifi connection, but I read that with the nexus one the opposite is true. so what's the truth?
It's normal for the wifi to disconnect after several minutes of inactivity once the screen turns off. As for your very last question, I don't know... but I imagine that idle 3G is less power intensive than active wifi, otherwise it wouldn't be the default option...
Hi,
I have found a bug with Wi-Fi, you can monitor it with the help of this battery menu ( see screenshot ).
So, basically if you turn Wi-Fi on, then off, Wi-Fi won't deactivate. It will be deactivated only after a reboot or after activating/deactivating airplane mode.
How to monitor:
Activate Wi-Fi, deactivate it and then wait at list half an hour. Then go in the same battery menu than screenshot and you will see Wi-Fi is still activated ( solid blue bar).
Now deactivate Wi-Fi and briefly activate/deactivate airplane mode. Wait half an hour then go again in the same menu than screenshot : Wi-Fi is really deactivated.
Tried disabling "Scanning always available" in the Advanced WIFI setting?
I think it has to do it

Hi,
Anyone else having this issue with their note 9? So when I have WiFi turned on overnight and when I wake up and I go out of WiFi range (WiFi is turned off), I realize my mobile data is turned off. I would have to go under settings > connections > data usage to turn mobile data back on. I'm not sure what the cause is and it seems to only happen after long WiFi usage (like overnight). The weird thing is it doesn't always happen. I'm not sure if it is a battery saving things or something is turning it off. Please help! Thanks
When I lock the screen, I feel like my S10 enters a heavy sleep mode. I don't receive emails (through Gmail app) on time, Spotify keeps pausing, and group chat messages (those on wifi) are delayed. I have ensured that none of such time sensitive applications are put to sleep. And wifi isn't set to disconnect. Also Google services can't even be modified in terms of its services running!
Does anyone else experience something similar/know what's going on?
***SOLVED***
With adaptive power mode on, your phone automatically switches to a more power saving mode when phone's not in use. Mine was switching to medium-power-saving-mode which had "background network activity" switched to off. I just modified each power mode setting and now I can have the adaptive power mode on and have background activity!
