Yo, I'd just talked to Joseph Godslave (who made universal zip) he said that those universal zips are good with non - rooted MMB29K, so you can flash that universal zipwith unrooted MMB29K, it'll works

I have 100% stock phone (like took right out of the box). I even installed December patch. But the January patch doesn't get installed, many people on many other forums had faced this issue and some of them got replacement device which is not the case for me. Universal Zip or Karbonn Sparkle V zip doesn't gets installed with philz or twrp.
Also it gave me error like system/bin/app_process32 has unexpected contents. E:Error in /sideload/package.zip.
HELP PLZ....
UPDATE: I fixed the issue by downgrading to 5.1 and updating to MMB29O all the way. Thanks for responding.....

Yo, as I already explained you need to unroot your phone, if you still get error, just do clean wipe and flash 6.0 manually (MRA58M),then update all three patches without issues, (including 6.0.1)

Where Does Official Z00T "droidboot.img" exist?
Is there anybody who knows where exists stock fastboot image "droidboot.img" for ZE601KL (Z00T)?

http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/ZenFone/ZE550KL/UL-Z00L-WW-21.40.1220.1615-user.zip Downloads the firmware 21.40.1220.1615 can someone confirm that this is the same as the OTA update that is received on the phone. I tried a lot to get the OTA update, but couldn't download it. So I changed the URL with the version number and the download started. Also does the OTA update have the latest Gapps. Cos it sucks to have the Gapps installed in the data partition now that we can't even move apps to SD.

Can someone can explain what is the difference between Z00LD and the Z00LDD?
Can I ROOT, exposed, unlock bootloader with the Z00LD method?

Just found some answer which can be seen on my post HERE, hope someone with the same model will get it.

As I had to dig quite a bit, I think you should post @shakalaca 's guide to root ZE550KL updated to latest versione of Marshmallow, which as of today is ZE550KL_WW_21.40.1220.1794
Acutally this is the only way to root the Zenfone Laser 2 720p updated to marshmallow rn, by using pre-rooted system.img and boot.img

I think you need to unlock the bootloader before being able to flash twrp

Below are a list of all known Micromax Canvas A1 AQ4502 OTA updates. Each time there is a new OTA update, the links will be posted here as they become available. If you get an OTA notification that we don't have a link for, please pull the filename out of logcat for us before applying the OTA and post it here. 1. Every OTA zip's file name starts with corresponding SHA-1 hash; please compare them after download.
2. As long as your /boot, /system & /recovery are untouched, flash (using ADB sideload or from SD card) via stock recovery.
3. Bootloader status isn't checked while updating.

Dude just download Sprout8 stock Rom [includes July patch] perform a clean wipe from twrp and flash zip, reboot. That's it.

Need to downgrade back to 6.0.1

Found a used Nexus 6 (for now) but it has 7.1.1 on it.
I need to go back to 6.0.1
I've gone to google's website and I am confused which factory 6.0.1 image to download.
What are the differences between them? (I'm assuming those listed with a month/year date are describing security patch release dates, but not sure about all the others.)

I continued to research and found this from AT&T's website.... (click on the previous builds link on that page)

Apparently it lists all the builds... and their sizes.
But this presents another question... due to the relatively small size of some of these builds... which are just security enhancements, would I have to keep adding each build on top of the next? Or does the latest security enhancement build have all prior security builds in it?

perfect... thanks! sooooo... AT&T shows the last 6.0.1 build as MMB31C (Nov. 2016) but your link shows the last build to be MOB31T (Feb. 2017).

Well. There isn't any version of 6.0.1 specifically for AT&T so just flash the latest.
