Hello xda members!
I have LT25i and i decided to mod his stock rom a little. I unlocked bootloader and rooted my V. I applyed some mods like z3 system ui and supersuer mod. But here's a problem no1.
When i hold power button for about 3secs i cant see power menu (airplane mode and power off). It just turns off like i press power off. (hope u understand. And i see the first part of boot animation. So let me describe a little bit more.. I hold power button 3 seconds and then i have to see power menu, right? But now it just shows me first part of bootanim and then pixels just go purple or yellow or green and it reboots(like not working shutdown anim). So if anyone knows what to do...
The second problem is battery life (you know that this battery is poor) but i chargeed it all the night and reboot in the morning and battery pevel jumps from 96% to 55-75. I removed alot of bloatware l, greenyfied all apps and turned on STAMINA but.. no change...
Sry for my bad english and i hope u understand me..

And there is not shutdown animation in semc folder
Ok, anyway i will install custom rom today so is there anybody who can tell me what is the best custom rom for battery, i really need more battery life. Thanks.
Well i dont know why i see this thread now
For me CM12.1 has a good battery life but stock rom is very little better.
I see you are using now pacman rom. Is facebook app running fine? Because on CM12.1 is slow. Im using stock now because facebook for me is working best on stock rom
(Facebook),yes it is not running very smooth but, i can use it without problems..
I dont want to charge phone twice a day so that is main reason why i am using this ROM. Anyway, best CM 12.1 based ROM for xperia V.

Need help please!
Just flashed to Dutty's rom (great by the way) and I lost the battery software that used to run at the top of the window and display the battery life as a green bar - can't rememeber what it was called.
Anybody got the name or have the link please?
i know a vistahide and a batti, is that wat u were looking for?
you can always use spb phone suite... it provides a visual bar on top of your phones screen that tell you the amount of bettery that you have left at all times

I don't think this is exactly what you are looking for but it's very close to it.
From what I recall Dutty has never used this in the past, but I like to install it from time to time It also gives you the ability to customize the colors / etc.
Download Batti 2.1

Mate that looks great, I dont suppose you could do me a huge favour and either upload it to this site or email it to me? I am having major issues with 4shared here in China (curse the great firewall, I found out that is indeed an issue with 4shared here, and proxies let me get into the lists, and even get to the dl screen but clicking on dl will only take me back to the dl screen... sigh) thanks mate...
Sorry if this is the wrong section to ask. I just got my phone back from HTC (had to get USB port fixed). When I got it back it was relocked and had stock gingerbread along with a new IMEI number.
I unlocked the bootloader and flashed amon ra and Cyanogen 6.1.1, then installed a sense bar theme (just like before I set it in). for some reason the battery % is misaligned now.
Before sending the phone in, the display fit inside the battery. Here's a pic I have from before

Now it has moved to the right and hangs outside the battery
I don't know why the battery display would move over like this. Anyone have any ideas?
It's always been like this depending on ROM and theme used. There was a fix for it for some. So perhaps you used the fixed one long ago and need to go find that theme or ROM again.
I've just used the crooked percent and never bothered to fix it, so right now mine looks like yours too. I'm too lazy lately.
I installed cm 6.1.1 before and after the repair so unless Cyanogen changed 6.1.1 it should be the same ROM and theme.
Well I'm on cyan 6.1.1 using it for months, and the percent has always been off center. You prob just used the fix before and don't recall, or different theme etc.
Hmm, I don't remember ever using a fix, but you could be right. I searched yesterday but couldn't find any fix here. Does anyone have it saved that would be kind enough to pass it along?
did you load a specific theme? because i remember certain themes were corrected, and some were not, to fix the off center percent. so maybe it was fixed right from the start?
I'm using a mix between the inexus honeycomb and david1171's sense bar. The sense bar portion is the same as I used previously (when the % was centered). The theme is only pic replacements, no code alterations.
So, recently, my battery life has gone to ****...mostly due to Android OS. I'm running MonsterRom 1.2. I just SBF'd the phone clean yesterday and restored apps via MyBackUp Root and TB. I made sure not to use a hand backup because I figured that would restore system settings causing the issue to re-surface. Any help would be much appreciated.
EDIT: I understand that this isn't a drained battery, but the volume of use remains proportional when the phone is nearly dead.

Me too
I've also had a similar problem on both copies of the droid 3 I own. Can't seem to find the answer. Anyone had any luck out there?
Looking into it further
There is a great thread here.
I installed betterbatterystats and turned off syncing for instant upload and Google Docs to see if that would help. Also, com.motorola.blur.service.sync.engine.wakelock.task seems to be a possible culprit on the wakelock side of things. It would be nice if we could put this problem to bed. Besides this and not being able to receive SMS with images in it (I think it's something to do with my provider, Koodo), I love this phone.
Assuming that the phone is rooted, download a app called battery calibration from the market, charge your battery to 100 percent or 4200mah,give the app root access and tap calibrate. You should be good. When changing roms it is important to calibrate your battery. Also you can do the same thing by booting to cwm recovery and erasing battery stats.

Possible progress here
Removing the calendar widget, docs sync, facebook sync and instant update seem to have made a significant improvement over the last couple of hours. I will update as I get more data.
I should note that I'm on .890, I have rooted and debloated except for blur (I want the calendar app unless someone else can suggest a better one), motoprint and task manager.
Has anyone experience the flipped screen?
it happens when the screen awake from sleep, but not all the time. I don't know what causing this, it seems to happen randomly, I tried different holding positions even upright when awaking the screen, it still flipped. Once it is flipped, either activate screen capture or reboot the phone will correct the problem.
anyone have idea what is happening on my phone? Screen capture files start piling up in my note's storage....
oh.... the touch on screen is also flipped as well; touch on the left side, appeared on the right....
my phone is flashed with rocket rom v22 and abyssnote v4.2
thanks in advance...

happens to me from time to time on LB1,
no need to reset though, usually it's enough to filp it few times and/or run any app which can use landscape mode
Check the sgs2 threads... I can't remember for sure, but think this results from a combination of certain tweaks in custom roms (fancy rotations and crt on or off, maybe?). I know it was discussed on Shoman's SHOstock thread in the ATT sgs2 subforum. Cut the right tweak off and it goes away forever.
EDIT: found the post...

Thanks for the replies. Great to know that I am not alone. I use pattern lock to lock my phone, so flipping won't work at the lock screen. It get me really annoyed if I want to use the phone in a hurry.
Thanks for the sgs2 link, I will have a look and hopefully it will give me a cure.

Do you have CRT ON selected in JKay settings? Or have you enabled via some other workaround?
It is a well known cause of mirroring after turning the screen on and all you have to do to get rid of it is switch it off in JKay Deluxe settings.
Yes it was on before in the Jkay setting. I have turn it off now, hopefully no more mirror problem. Thanks

Happens occasionally since I've had jkay cart on enabled. Just swap to landscape and back, or restart. No permanent fix known, last I checked.
You need to disable CRT ON animation !!!!
CRT OFF animation is fine.

Correct... or disable/choose a ROM w/o fancy rotations... it is the combination of the two that causes the problem.
Hey all I've been using a ROM that I've I've been loving but keep having poor battery life. Tried a different rom and battery life doubled!!!! But is missing a must have feature that the other rom has.
There is an issue when scrolling in some apps. When you are at the bottom of a page and say swipe up fast to get to the top, once you hit the top of the page, the page will bounce back and start scrolling back down. Figured out that there is a setting in this ROM with the poor battery life called "over scrolling effect" setting this to off fixes the issue.
Wanted to know if this setting is a part of the core operating system? And be able just just manually edit this setting in say the build prop file or a file like it? Or would this setting have to be added and compiled into the ROM?
Here are screen shots of the said setting

you cant just add features to a rom. you have to have the code for it, you add it to the roms code, then you have to build the rom from scratch.
