Openspark

Does anyone know what happened to Openspark? It was basically the best Xbox live app there ever was...
My first guess is that Microsoft made them take it off the market with windows 7 phones coming out...

If you are looking for open spark i can extract the .apk if you really want it. I usually prefer it over 360 Live since i can refresh whenever i wish.

Can someone please post the apk..

I downloaded xbox live stats and it does everything open spark did i believe. It does however seem to take longer to load, even on wifi. Could be just me, who knows. But it is still a beta so chances are it will improve. I would still be interested in the openspark apk though.

I'm using mTorrent Lite for when im connected to WiFi. Works great. Obviously not suggested when on 3G.

what about something like PeerGuardian/equivelant to go along with it?

I'm using mtorrent as well but only getting 1mb sec load speed. I have 4 meg DSL.. shouldn't it be at 400k a sec?

In the same vein, has anyone seen a usable Usenet app?

I'm trying to use mtorrent but every time I try to add a torrent, nothing happens. It keeps saying to add a torrent. How is everyone else using mtorrent.

i use red torrent and it works very nice, ive had no prob downloading on my xoom or d2g.

I use NewzDroid and it does exactly what I expected it to. They also make the software Unrar and Unrar Pro... it would be really nice if they would just integrate the applications together though.
I see that there is now another offering on the Market called Droid NewzLeecher (which appears to have some pretty bad reviews)

The app that I use is ttorrent and I love it. I have tried all of them and this one is by far the best. I get speeds on average of 250kb/s but that might be due to the speed of my wifi connection.

I don't have a Xoom, but on my Nexus One I use the free uTorrent remote app. This is not torrenting on the phone, it torrents to my home computer running uTorrent. However, the app allows you to download the files from your home computer once they are completed. It is a very clean app and works great on my phone, so if it runs on the Xoom and that way of doing things works for you, it might be a great solution.

I'm aBTC on my desire. Give it a go.

swarm is one of the best clients i've seen, but it is $5.

I'd say that if you get it via the Amazon store, you'll have access to future upgrades that you probably won't get with Samsung's version.

I did what I normally due with most of these Amazon freebies. I purchase them, it starts the download, and then I cancel the install.
If I ever happen to need that program in the future, I just go to the Amazon App Store and its waiting to be downloaded and installed.

That's a pretty cool idea actually.

Yeah, it works well and I don't have 100 different apps cluttering up my phone and taking up space. The annoying part is that when I open the Amazon App store I always have 20+ apps waiting to be downloaded. I have to scroll through a list to find out what I have. Plus, I haven't found a way to delete a program I no longer want.

I tried downloading QuickOffice Pro from the Amazon App store yesterday many times throughout the day, and kept getting an error. So much for getting it free.

VPN or Proxy app?

I need a app I can use to bypass my schools block while in apps, the for project app did that but it doesn't seem to work on either the tab 2 10.1 or on CyanogenMod. Anyone know of a good one? Would be greatly appreciated, I can't even use my apps to listen to music.

Best one that works is free in the play store called DroidVPN. You will only get 100MB free per day or you can pay $4.99 for one month unlimited. It has worked anywhere I have been blocked. It bypasses firewalls with filtering software. You will need to go to droidvpn.com and create a free account.
EDIT: Just noticed they have a free 1GB per day now.

Samsung proprietary music app

I just put the baby to sleep and I'm chilling with a beer and my new note 7. I decided to load some mp3's to my sd card to listen to some old tunes. To my surprise I couldn't find the Samsung proprietary music app. Did they eliminate it all together? Please chime in and let me know if you are missing it as well. I don't understand why they would do that it was such a good player.[emoji25]

You need to download it from the Galaxy App store. I jad the same issue earlier today. Just search for music, and it should come up.

Buy Poweramp... it's much better for that stuff... Or at least try for a bit... I think you'll like for mp3's and such..
