This will trip Knox correct?
Sent from my SM-G920T using Tapatalk
I am also curious will this trip Knox?.. I'm assuming anything involving odin is an automatic yes?.
Yes All Rooting trips knox
Do you need to turn on OEM unlocking?
It failed for me did all the steps.

Been searching all day and found this and am curious if it works on the EPF1 build of the s6. I keep hearing that my bootloader is locked and it will brick my device so just wanted some confirmation that someone has done this with the same phone and build that i have and that it works without messing anything up. thanks in advance

It works, because I was on stock before I rooted. You have to unlock your OEM bootloader using steps 5 and 6 that I mentioned, or you will soft-brick your phone.

So youve done this on your phone?
I have already toggled the oem unlock option but i was told by samsung support that it doesnt unlock the bootloader.
Sorry not trying to be annoying i just really dont wanna mess my phone up. Just to be certain my s6 is stock ota 6.0.1 from tmobile with the EPF1 build.

I know for sure it works because I did it the wrong way, and found out the right way. When you Unlock OEM, it unlocks your FRP (Factory Reset Protection). Without that being unlocked, you will be in a bootloop with the Samsung splash screen with the words FRP Locked (or something similar) at the top left hand corner until you flash the stock ROM from Sammobile via Odin.
Without following the steps I prescribed, you will soft-brick your phone, and ultimately, you will lose all data and information saved on your phone anyway. Unlocking it will remove the FRP lock so that when you reboot after rooting with CF-Auto-Root, you can log into your phone as usual (fingerprint, password, PIN, etc.) rather than being met with that Samsung splash screen.

Yes
No, it just installs root.
This does not automatically flash TWRP for you, it's something you have to do yourself.

I know it doesnt automatically flash TWRP i was asking how i would flash twrp afterwards. I guess it would have to be odin since you cant flash it from the phone without a custom recovery. Also, again just trying to clarify, your build number had EPF1 when you did this also?

Go to the TWRP website and find the latest build number, or download the TWRP Manager app on the Play Store and you can download and flash it from there.
Yes, my ROM was STOCK OTA.

Yes it will.
I took the 6.0.1 OTA Update. So is this what I need to do?
First, download 6.0.1 from like the site Sammobile and Flash via ODIN and should I check or uncheck Auto reboot?
Than once I flashed than follow all 13 steps given in post #7 of this thread
Once I followed the 13 steps than flash TWRP? Should I flash via ODIN or recovery? If in ODIN should check or unchecked Auto reboot?
Once I got TWRP than install Super SUPER SU from Play Store
So I tried to root my device using Kingo root first but after 73% it failed to root the device.
Then I tried to do it manually. First I tried to install TWRP but even it failed and some green notice appeared in recovery mode saying "Custom binary FRP lock on" or something like that (Cannot remember the exact phrase.)
Then again I searched and found out this bypassing apk and tried to off the FRP lock and it was successfully done and after that I booted the TWRP even that was successfully completed (as the odin said) :fingers-crossed:
But when I tried to boot to TWRP mode it gave some kind of error message and again I went in to the same old stock recovery mode. That means booting the TWRP wasn't successful as odin mentioned and then I noticed again "FRP lock ON".
What is the solution for this problem? I seriously need to root this device but I don't want to use pre rooted firm wares cause it will give base band problems and such things! Any solutions guys? :highfive:
Doesn't anyone have a proper solution for this?

So after doing the new update to EPF1 from Samsung and updating thru Odin i was first able to flash twrp via odin and SuperSU beta via Twrp. I rebooted my after having minor issues with the new EPF1 rom being slow since i came the Boot logo with FRP lock on. Poored thru several forums and sources found several types of solution's such as KIES, Smart Switch, Odin (back2Stock), i have attempted all of these the Boot logo with frp lock on is now off i can now boot to the rom. BUT i cannot flash TWRP anymore because in download mode it shows FRP lock On anyone have sometype of resolution for this specific issue with Download only?
EDIT: after several attempts with smart switch it turned off FRP lock

While in Android, enable developer mode, and find the Enable OEM Unlock item. Turn it on; this disables the Factory Reset Protection and should let you flash a custom recovery in Odin.

Binary Blocked by FRP issue resolved
Dear Members,
It happened because you have not enabled "OEM unlock" option in "Developer Option" . This will lead to Binary Blocked by FRP ERROR on booting screen. The only solution available for this error till now is to flash your Note 5 or any other mobile with its original firmware through ODIN mode on mobile or through Smart switch software of Samsung by inputting exact model no. and serial number of samsung device only.( For different samsung devices you might have to use Samsung Kies, Samsung kies3 or Samsung Samrt Switch as per model number) Usually it will not cause any data loss if you have setup your phone properly. then after flashing original firmware,it will just overwrite with original files without formatting, so there will not be any data loss. I have tried it myself on my Note 5 and didn't loss any data, but i can't guarantee it in your cases. And next time u flash your mobile with custome rom, don't forget to Enable OEM unblock option before and after installing ROM or you will end up in same error. Hope it was useful for you all. For any further queries contact me on [email protected]

If you're the "owner" you should easily be able to remember your Google email address and password in order to log in to the phone and turn off the FRP if that's what you want to do. But be warned because we are NOT going to help you BYPASS the FRP (Factory Reset Protection).. If you forgot your Google password then go to a computer or another phone and try to log in and when it fails just tap or click "forgot password" and change it and then you can use it on the phone.. The FRP is to prevent thieves from being able to use the phone or factory reset it or anything!

If you are already locked out of the phone and cannot get into the settings then no you can't do anything without a PC! If you forgot your password or Google account then take the phone to the store and ask for help! If it's stolen they will not help you so you need to be the owner of the phone!!
