Is the only rom with Advanced Messaging N5 Express 3.4D or are there any others out there?

Kyubi Note 5 port on the Note 4 Snapdragon forums.
Does @TEKHD's rom's have advanced messaging?
If advanced messaging is same as enhanced messaging. Ovrdrive n5 port has it. That's what I'm currently on, and attached images are from it.

Tekhd I believe should also have it, from searching that thread.

Sorry, not a feature I use, besides testing it before on one of those two Roms.

Is there a list of stock HTC One apks that can be downloaded? I installed CyanogenMod and there are a couple apps i'd like to install back onto the device if possible. EG: Mail, TV, etc...
Thanks!
Bump. Still wondering if these stock applications are available.
Those apps won't work on CM

Unfortunately, I don't think it's likely. The problem is a framework issue. You may be better off looking for customized Sense ROMs.

Go look in the development forums-- if you search sense, you'll get a list of topics back that might interest you. How "senseless" they are though will vary-- I'm also not sure what you're looking for. Do you want everything to look like AOSP but still be able to run apps? That seems a little on the far end to me (usually you'll get things like status bar tweaks and such).

I'm using Viper rom and Nova launcher... very pleased with the number of options. Viper gives you the pull-down settings toggles and more reboot options...ect Nova gives you everything else and a stock look. Just cant use blinkfeed/HTC widgets, but the image processing/camera/zoe stays stock which is my main concern with ASOP roms currently.
Its not perfect, but its close.
I still miss my pattern-lock music controls hopefully coming in 4.2 right?
Good morning all,
I have currently have the t mobile HTC One and there is little to no dev going on there. I recently updated to 4.3 and am not happy with it at all. I am looking to install a custom ROM but was looking for the that suits me the best. I know i probably wont get all my options filled but looking for something to be close.
1. Android lock screen-i like the widgets on my lock screen but HTC limited has it to one.
2. I hate HTC gallery and they have limited what apps i can send photos in. I use Quick pic and i cannot send photos with the stock mail or messaging app.
3. I would like to be able to add/delete quick settings and rearrange them.
4. I hate blinkfeed, would love to disable it.
Thanks for any help you can give.
Viper ROM or Android Revolution HD are the top two with most customizations. However! Please look through the android Dev thread. Most of these ROMs can be used on carrier variants of the One. When I was on the One X I used Viper and it had a lot of customization but again its up to the user. Just flash a couple it won't hurt.
Also sense 5.5 has the option to turn off blinkfeed.
Ignore where is says sent from N4, I just got my One booted with Viper and I'm waiting for it to fully charge

Viper is probably your best bet but, as said above, give them all a go and see which does the job for you. Stock 4.3 is actually quite good, and you can turn off Blinkfeed (which I have) and rearrange the QS (which I've also done)

So, what I'm wondering is this: is there anyone interested in a custom ROM based on stock 4.2.2 for the SGH-I537 optimized for SafeStrap? I've been thinking about experimenting with ROM creation, and if there is an interest then I will try my hand at it.
Really, the only pro I can see for this is the use of the Underwater Mode in the stock camera, but if you'd like to see this project then please make some feature requests.
Not being anything close to a dev, I've been playing....not much progress....just a trial and error kind of thing.

I would be interested in a custom tw rom. If you end up trying one pm me for theming advice. I do know a little from tinkering with my other devices.

I think it would be great to have another S4 Active ROM, everybody loves options and I'll test whatever you come up with. That said I'm wondering if your efforts might be better spent elsewhere. There are a ton of great i337 ROMs that work pretty well on the S4A but could be a lot better. You've already begun working on the MasterPatch and it works really well, but there are some hiccups, particularly with the APN settings. What if you figured out how to port the Aqua Mode camera to regular S4 ROMs, or got the APN settings working, or getting LeJay's camera fix working properly. It just seems like there are already a bunch or ROMs out there that you could use as a base and selectively improve.
If you're looking to tinker and improve your knowledge by building a ROM then I fully support you. Maybe this is the route to go to figure out how to get regular S4 ROMs fully working on the Active, I don't know. No matter what you decide to do I'll help you any way I can. Thanks for putting this out there I really appreciate the effort you're putting into this phone.
If you do build a ROM, the only feature that I've been missing from TouchWiz ROMs is CM theme support. I don't know if it's possible but it would be an amazing feature if you can pull it off.

I would be interested, but only if its 4.3 or 4.4... Because honestly this GE ROM is good enough for me until I can update to one of those versions. The underwater camera would be cool, but I'm surviving fine without it.

I hate the safestrap , even its give a good alternative to custom roms , i like to have our bootloader opened :/
I'm looking to make the switch to aosp. I know that the dialer codes only work on sense roms (#data, #775, #778). How can you get access to these when using an aosp rom? Is an aosp rom that much better than a sense rom?

I was googling this earlier, and there are methods which can enable dialer codes but untested on our phones. Honestly there are hundreds of threads on AOSP and Sense comparisons, but in my opinion, AOSP has better battery life (although sometimes I've heard that Sense has better battery life), Sense has better looks as it has HTC's skin all over it. Last but not all, AOSP ROMs, such as Nocturnal GE are usually always on the latest version of Android.
If you switch to AOSP (I am using LS AOSP Rom). You will lose some of these:
Voicemail Application
Dialer Codes
All Hardware Camera Features (e.g. Burst, Zoe, etc)
Blinkfeed

Of those, can you get back the voicemail and camera funct. back? What, then, really makes aosp better? I have only ever had an HTC phone. The only thing I know is the Sense. If I was to switch to say a samsung or something else, what is really out there for them in terms of roms?

There are Third party Camera apps that will emulate the burst feature. The Voicemail app you can use Google Voice, it has a "Similar" feature.
The deal is, AOSP is a preference some love it, some hate it. I prefer AOSP over Sense, however maybe you like TouchWiz (Samsung's Shell) or *Shudder* the old Moto Blur.
HTC Devices are built around Sense, the hardware is designed to work with it, and only it. This leads us to the closed source drivers that the Camera uses. This is what limits the AOSP's ability to interact with the camera, e.g. Burst and Zoe like functions.
The only way to tell, is to just try a AOSP Rom and decide for yourself. Do a Nandroid backup of your current setup then flash (A Sprint Version, do not flash a GSM/International Version or you will have a bad day) an AOSP Rom. I suggest Liquid Smooth.

KEWL thanx for the fast response. I've been looking around at all of the different ROMs out there. I've been consistently using either BADBOYZ or BADSEED on sense. Looking to just try something different. I have CM on my Nexus 7 wifi, just wasn't sure about putting aosp on a phone. I know I also lose the dialer codes that can be used with sense roms. Is there any way to bring them back to aosp?
One question that I have never asked and could not find anything on. Which rom type has the better signal, aosp or sense?

I know its not a perfect solution but when I use Roms with no epst/dialer code support. I just keep a nandroid of a ROM that does. When I need it its just a nandroid away! Works for me!

is one more stable,
does one have better battery life,
Does one have more options
and other relevant things you can think of.
I don't want to know which is better, i just want to understand the feature differences.
Thanks
I think it's a preference thing. I prefer Firekat. I believe Firekat is more stock than dynamic.

Hyperdrive was pretty good too. Sucks the dev didn't end up getting a note 4.
I used to use FireKat almost exclusively. It keeps the UI as stock and makes it so much better thanks to the added speed and power saving. Now I'm working on my own TW rom, which is coming out very nicely.
Dk rom with ael kernel will allow for gear vr and gear s function. In my opinion dk is superb

This is such great news TechnRom! I will try this setup soon!
Also another huge difference is that DynamicKat has TONS and TONS of user selectable tweaks, hacks and modifications built-in!
Cheers!
I dunno, all I know is I do not like lollipop.. nothing seems to do right on it. and has all kinds of problems for me.. FireKat is an extremely optimized ROM focused on speed, stability and battery life. No bells and whistles, purely about getting the most out of your note 4.
Highly recommended.
