A look at the leaked Lollipop build on the Note 3. Should be pretty much the same for the Note 4.
Looks very nice indeed! Especially the Dialer, Settings overview and Previews look much better than on 4.4.4.
Very promising!

Nice nice.
Which someone would v port the Lockean
I personally don't like the Vanilla flavor of Lollipop on my Nexus 7, the TouchWiz overlay is essential to complete Lollipop. :good:
I've got the leaked L build flashed on my Note 3 (N9005) since Christmas Eve, timing couldn't be better.
It performs way more fluidly and consistently than the Note 4 (N910C) on 4.4.4. If this is what Lollipop brings to the table for Android, I can't wait until the OTA drops. Samsung, it's 2015, and your flagship's been waiting months!

Don't nag! Does your Note 4 only work on 5.0?
I experienced lollipop on my S5 and I isn't that fluid at all, now having a note 4 I hope it will be.Shame there are no news when it will be released....
Lollipop users - is the calculator bug still there?

when it's up to me it has nothing to do with nagging, this is a discussion site. My Note 4 just isn't fluid in daily use and my fingerprint scanner is more a gimmick than a useful feature. Reading the posts about 5.0 being more fluid i'm also waiting for this update. Until then I almost don't install any software. I'm still not sure if selling my Note 3 was a wise decision.

if your note 4 is not fluid with stock then either it needs a reset or probably something wrong with your device

I'm the opposite. I'm loving Lollipop vanilla but I cry and cringe every time I see or use TouchWiz.
I just wish someone would leak the Note 4 TW Lollipop build soon. Or at least Samsung release it. I just can't stand the lag on 4.4.4 TW. Most of all the multitasking switcher.
I think Note 3 is better than Note 4 because its better optimized system and we will see if it'll change with Lollipop for the Note 4, but this is always going to be this way on newer devices. Note 3 works for me much better and is fluently than the 4 is @ this time.
I find the recent apps menu to work flawlessly on my note N910F...idk why so many people have problems with that.

Which variant of Note 3 and Note 4 are you talking about? I had a Note 3 Snapdragon and now I have an Exynos Note 4 and surely Note 4 is smoother, faster and has a little better battery life.I am very satified and Lollipop is around the corner to perfect the expierience
Both Snapdragon but I would'n say the CPU makes the difference since Note 3 is working perfectly. I'm not saying the Note 4 is bad, but the Note 3 is working better on stock ROM's.
My old snapdragon note 3 is wiped nothing installed and on latest stock. Its definetly worse than my exynos note 4 and not even close.
And old touchwiz just sucks slow and laggy i wouldnt buy note 4 if they didnt change it.
is the leaked build 64 bit ? 64 bit kernel for exynos with armv8 instruction set ?
Nope, Samsung will not be adding 64-bit support for the note 4 most likely nor for the note 3...

Hello!
Is there any stable Custom Rom available for Samsung Galaxy Note 5 to install Android 8.0/8.1 ?
Or the Pixel XL 2 Android O 8.0 port available for Note 5?
Thanks
Anyone? :|
None yet, wait for LOS 15.1 or the release of Oreo for the S8, some person port it to the Note 5.
Where is the 8.0 roms devs the s6 has them and there are rocking the same processor !
Be patient, it will come soon!!
I will try lol
There's a video on YouTube that shows a step by step guide to installing LineageOS on Android 8.1 I think... I haven't tried it, but I plan on trying it this weekend. :good:
Here's the link by the way :

I have tried the rom and here is my take on it. The battery charge meter is glitchy and inaccurate. Fast charging doesn't work correctly. The performance of my device went down a massive amount. Even Facebook was having issues with lag. NFC doesn't work at all so if you use tap and pay with your phone you will lose that function. My battery life was hit and miss. Some charges I would get 16 hours of medium use and others I would be lucky to get 8 as well as the phone would be constantly really hot. In the end I decided to drop back to the S8+ ported version of Android N for stability and battery life.

Max Lee did a video on it with links ext. Just google S8+ Oreo port for note 5
So I have figured out the issue behind charging. For some reason android sees it as a 2550MAh battery. So it essentially stops the device from charging once it hits that capacity. This is fine for the S6 because that is exactly the correct size. However on the note 5 it's a solid 10% less than the actually specs of the Li Ion that comes packed inside. I can only assume if there was a way to show android the proper capacity it would fix the issue with charging
Here is a snap showing what it detects as
Hello,
I have been using my Note 5 with Extreme Debloated ROM 3.3 (that's Android 6.0.1) for over 2 years now and it's been working fine (fast and smooth, no lag and no crashes) except there are still some bugs which are long overdue that have never been fixed since no newer version of that great ROM has ever been released.
My question is: Which other better ROM is there or that you have personally used or are using on your Note 5 without any issues especially with the camera app? I don't need a ROM with tons of bells and whistles (deep tweaks and customization a la VenomROM). Just something debloated and light but which retains the original Samsung Apps with an updated Android - it doesn't have to be the latest but newer than 6.0.1 would be nice. In my experience, the Note 5 is still a pretty good device in 2018. The camera is great and my phone simply works. No crashes and it's not noticeably slow when opening apps and i don't play games on it. At some point, i will consider changing for a newer model as the battery degrades over time... Maybe for a Note 10? But for now, i'm very concerned with updating my current custom ROM which doesn't allow me to install the Galaxy Apps for instance, since i'm using my phone mostly for photography these days.
Why not just download the latest official ROM from Samfrew.com? Then flash Magisk via TWRP.
There is one that im using which is very very superb, and its oreo it has few bugs like bluetooth but it good, floyed rom for note 5 just google it at this xda
So Android 12 is apparently very lightweight and is gonna be a better OS even for older devices.
Is there any hope a custom ROM based on Android 12 for our old friend Nexus 7 (grouper) ?
With cpu cycle sucking scope storage I don't see how it can be considered lightweight.
Android 9 be a better choice. Below 9 there are more rootkit vulnerabilities.
I just noticed that my moto g4 android version 7.0 download speed time is faster then my samsung galaxy note 9 android version 10 many time i test anybody know why this happened?
