Hi guys, I recently (very very recently) broke with my girlfriend, she take away all of her things from our home including a galaxy camera 2, well that's right because it was a birthday gift from me but now I'd like something similar all for me! In the beginning I was going to buy another one but then I stopped thinking that at the moment it is a pretty old piece of hardware so I wonder if I can find something similar (or better) this days! I have a reflex for better photos but I like it for shoot, edit and share on the fly! Thank You all!

Hi everyone
I just bought myself an LG Optimus 4X, upgraded it to V10f...I am from Europe, and perhaps I will root the phone. I have not decided yet. I changed this phone and went from my old Apple 3G, which became very slow. But the main reason why I was looking for a new phone is because I have a 3 year old daughter, and I do not have my camera with me all of the time. And some of the pictures from iPhone could have been better. I was thinking of buying iPhone 4S, afterwards wanted iPhone 5, but the line was just too long. Also, I was a bit disappointed by Apple not making the iPhone a tad bigger at least 4,3 inch. Which I think is the right size. Anyway while looking at Samsung S3 from my colleagues at work, to which I had to configure all those Galaxys I decided to buy something a bit different. And I really liked the Optimus 4X simple design. I liked the Optimus Black before, but decided not to buy it because of 5MP camera. I have my 4X now for the second day. I haven’t transferred around 800 contacts from my iPhone yet, since I am looking for the best and pain free way to do that. But I will find a way that does not bother me. The main issue so far or complaint I have is that in all the reviews on the web, YouTube...No one mentioned that PANORAMA mode is limited to VGA resolution. What is up with that LG? The phone has four-4 nVidia cores, and all we get is VGA? Any ideas how to change that? Also taking pictures one by one while pressing button repeatedly has some lag.
Does this mod do anything?

You bought a bad phone, you should have waited for nexus 4. Just return it if you still can

The O4X camera is very "poor"... lenses I guess.
10X better the KU990 Viewty 5MP camera than this one of 8MP...
The mod can improve a little but, don't expect for miracles

The phone is not bad, camera is!
I get pretty ok picture quality. Isn't a S3 but hey the 4x is around half of what a s3 cost and less then a one x and still offers all the goodness. So i think it isn't a bad deal. But there are always people never happy about anything.

The matter is that a 8MP camera should have the quality of a 8MP camera...
They just put some s*itty piece of "garbage" there!
It's like anounce a 800hp car that don't goes further than 100km/h

It really do... Need to know more about cause a lot of people think that "our" is good and, for me is the worst camera I ever had since phones starts to have 5MP at least...
To the OP,
I personally use JB Camera+ (it is $1.99 from Google Play) but it works really great with Panorama shots and it shoot in full 8MP.. Best thing, is that it also comes with the JB Gallery app. Very much worth it in my books.
Give it at try https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.moblynx.camerajbplus&feature=nav_result#?t=W10.
IDK how much this will cost in Europe tho.
Hey guys, I'm thinking of buying a used note from eBay but had a few questions for those who have had their notes for 2 years. One of my main concerns is the home button and does it feel like its going to last or is it wearing out? I can get the phone on eBay for $350.00 or a new one for $465.00, what would you guys do? I've had the note and note 2 before and I kind of like the n7000 better (due to the aspect ratio) and I felt that the n7000 was plenty fast enough for me, so I am set on the n7000. Thanks in advance for your opinions.

I am using my note for last 15 months. There's no problem with the home key.
Only problem is camera lens (or the glass whatever you call it) has got a couple of scratches.
I baught my Note a couple of years back! I use it daily, it's my main device, on all my activities. Work, work out, photos, browsing and gaming. In my opinion the devices' build quality is fantastic! I asure you that there has been no problem nore with the Home Button nore with any of the other hardware keys on my Note!
I strongly believe that you should go for it.
P.S.
My camera lens has no brakes or any other scratch. It' s a matter of luck i think. If the person whose device you' re going to buy was careful and was using a protevtive case, then you' ll be just fine mate! Hope that helps! Good luck!:fingers-crossed:
As long as you find a good conditioned phone its good.
I purchased mine 2nd hand and it's running fine since the past 9 months or so. Only the stylus doesn't feel right to me. But make sure it's not on a dangerous firmware. One that could brick your phone if you do a reset

I have both, s8+ and Note 8. I first got the s8+ and was really happy with the quality of the pictures. then I got the Note 8 expecting to be able to get even better ones, but outcome was totally different. Actually the Note 8 pictures come out really out-focused and burry, even with a lot of noise in comparison with the pictures I've taken with the s8+. I'm really disappointed with that problem I'm having with the Note8 as I was expecting it to be my main device. Is there someone who's experiencing the same problem with the Note8? Does anyone know if there is any solution to this?
Any comment or help will be really appreciated!
I have to try real hard to take a burry picture, I would get it exchanged.

Thanks... I was afraid that was the solution. Will do so. I'm glad tho to know I was the only one and not that all the devices had the same issues that mine has, so I can just exchange it for another one and everything is going to be fine.
UPDATE:
I exchanged my note 8 for a new one. Surprise it's still has the same problem (with the camera taking blurry and noisy pictures). That compared to others Note8's and my own S8+
Came to realize something. My S8 is the F version (International) which has a different CPU and GPU than the U version (US). Is the same with the Note8. the F and the U versions have different CPUs and GPU's. Maybe the different GPU is what's doing the difference by processing the image differently. What do you guys think?
Definitely think it's just a US problem which I hope is fixed soon. I switched from iPhone to the note 8 and the camera is making me regret this decision
I live in Sweden and i have a Note 8, F version (sm-n950f) same problem, noisy and griny pictures.
much worse than my old phone galaxy S7 edge.
Yeah my note 8(U) prints are worthless! I spent years talking with an online Samsung rep., and I wish they could refund me the time and energy I wasted with him. Although, i found it I send the pic to my printer via email the printer is substantially better. But still not nearly as crisp as any of my other devices (moto play z, galaxy S6). ...im really hoping they release an update?, offe any kind of solution as I have a daughter ...and I require a lot of amazing pictures!
Hey everyone!
I noticed this section was a bit dry so thought I'd kick it off as a happy new owner of a grey Nokia XR20 in Australia. Still on 4G but will be giving Optus 5G a shot soon.
My last phone was a Razer Phone 2 and I was hesitant about going from a past bleeding edge to low-mid range phone today, but the XR20 seems decent enough for a tough phone.
So far all my go to apps like Gmail, Evernote, Plex, Youtube, WhatsApp and others are working better than they did which is all I needed. The phone is definitely miles ahead of my last tough phone a Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2 which was pretty cool but felt further from the mainstream of capability than this does.
I have only two gripes and they're about the software:
I wish I could change the Google Assistant button, I've tried a few apps but they don't seem to pick it up when pressed to reassign it. I'm keen to hear if anyone has tips, even if they're developer ones!
The camera app seems.. OK? I tried a Google Camera port for the X20 but the colours were all wrong
Final though - I know this device is on Android One, but I am a tinkerer and Linux geek so am keen to hear thoughts on how we can get some of that action on this unit.
Cheers!
Gday? Also from Oz mate, & just bought an XR20 my first non Motorola or Google phone in the last 12 years & my first tough phone since my first ever Android which was the Moto Defy a very legendary tweaker phone from the early days, up there with the HTC HD2 for modding, running CyanogenMod9 the Defy was a little beast...
I'm glad this is an Android one handset ( I've tried a few) as the update schedule has not gone to **** [email protected] Moto & it's the only way to get more stock than Moto was,
Coming from an Edge 20 pro my only gripe is the downgrade in refresh rate, I don't care if its powerful or fast & since the Edge 20 broke way too easily after owning it only 3 weeks, I just wanted something durable...Moto aren't what they were during the X series heyday...
And there's nothing else out there that's anywhere near as decent so I made the jump..
It's actually a great phone, though it's a tank of a thing , I'll be happy with it for a year or so I'd say
Hi guys. I have just one question, is there any way to disable the uninstalled apps reinstalling after every restart? It is quite annoying...
When I bought this it was advertised as having Wifi 6 (AX). I have never managed to use on Wifi 6 network (Nighthawk)
I was searching for a "myself proof" phone. The last one had fallen in salted water and not appreciated it ...
This one is "myself-proof"
It has fallen from 1.50m several times and still works.
It has fallen into salt water and still works (just try to clean eat with fresh water as soon as possible, better with demineralized water).
By the way I love the fact that water will not stay on the screen, the screen behave quite like hydrophobic. Funny.
Compared to other "rough" phone it looks more casual and is quite powerful. Battery can stand easily for a full day with full use. Sound is quite powerful (I'm a bit hard hearing).
Camera is ok for me since I have a DSLR when I want to make photo. I use either google camera or Open Camera.
Unpleasant stuff:
The red button is linked to Google Assistant and if you don't use it, it's absolutely useless. No way to reassign it.
It seems - as for now- completely non-rootable. So you are locked with Android 13.
Hi, first of all, I’m sorry if I post this thread on the wrong section. I’m new around here and still kinda learning the rope here. Please don’t be mad
So I’m planning to retire my old phone, S5, after nearly 7 years of service (yeah, I really love it). I went to Samsung to check out some new phones and to salvage whatever left on my S5. Based on my budget and my needs, they showed me S22+. To my surprise, they still sell S21U with a very alluring discount. Practically the same price with S22+.
My main preference lies on the camera. Okay, I know they are on a different level based on hardwares alone. But I believe that the software do play an important part in the final image. I used camera a lot on my old phone, especially on night time, with low light and such, and Samsung guys told me that S22+ have improved night time processing they dubbed nightography. So what do you guys think, would S22+ be better than their predecessor, yet better hardware, S21U? On the side note, I do prefer vivid color rather than natural approach. Lastly, thanks for your time reading on this thread. Would really appreciate your help
S21 ultra is still good but wouldn't get exynos for either

Definitely go with the S21U if the only other alternative is the S22+, especially since your major preference is camera. The S21U camera array (almost identical to the S21U) is one of the most versatile setups on any phone today, especially if you are someone who likes to play around with different lenses.
