Why Mi5 32Gb has slower clock? - Xiaomi Mi 5 Questions & Answers

SO that's my question.. why 32 Gb version has an slower clock? All versions of Xiaomi mi5 have the same processor Snapdragon 820, so there is any reason why the 32Gb has an slower clock speed? It's just undercloked by Xiaomi for being less powerful so you buy the expensive one, or it has some difference with the other versions?
Thanks!

To diffirentiate from the more expensive versions, it also has lower memory clocks 1333 Mhz instead of 1866 Mhz. The cpu can probably be overclocked to 2.15 again in the future with custom kernels, the memory probably not. Worst case scenario the Snapdragon 820 in the 32 gb model has worse cpu binning and are actually worse than the ones in the 64 and 128 gb and shouldn't be clocked higher, we don't know this though and hopefully it isn't.

which laptop Compaq c555ea, c542ea

Both of these are the same price any one have an opinion on which one is the best buy or other options.
Thanks.
Get the c542ea. Better processor, better graphics card. the c555 uses Celeron whereas the 542 is a Intel Core Duo. Granted, clocked lower than the Celeron on the 555 but a better buy nonetheless. It is a better processor, not an "el cheapo" like the Celeron. Also, the graphics card is a better deal on the 542 than the "value" rated card of the 555.

Which Would You Prefer?

I have an SGS now and I love it. My contract is up in November and I will be getting a new phone (hopefully), so I am starting to look around and see what is coming up in the next few months.
Looking at GSMArena, I saw 2 phones that I would be interested in, but they are a bit different.
Which smartphone would you prefer?
A)
Dual core 1.8Ghz CPU
2GB ram
12MP camera
Memory card slot
720 x 1280 pixels, 4.6 inches
MicroUSB v2.0 (MHL), USB On-the-go
Secondary Camera - 2 MP
B)
Quad core 2.5Ghz CPU
1GB ram
8 MP camera
No memory card slot
720 x 1280 pixels, 4.5 inches
MicroUSB v2.0
Secondary Camera - 1.3 MP
Everything else is the same.

They both are pretty awesome, but i think i would waite a bit with the Quad core because of software issues/incombabilities etc.
Screens are about the same size - and it has a 12MP kamera
1.8 GHz is very much enough, and with some CFW rom+kernel you can overclock quit a bit
+ it would be a shame and an error you will regret later with no memory card!?
So i would choose A:
Best regards
i think, dual core 1.8 ghz is adequate
I'd choose the dual-core one...
Quad-core with 1 GB of RAM does not sound really good to me, + it's still uncommon, there might be software problems upon syncing with the quad-core
the choice is still in your hands though in the end
i would go for the 1.8ghz one, bcoz it has more ram then the other, and also memory expention...
more memory will help the current apps run smoother, then the quad core one, becose it may have 4 cores but not all apps uses all the cores not even in PC world and less memory...
I don't even want to think what a quadcore running would do to the battery, and what would you use 4 cores for on a phone, dual core is more than enough I think plus you get double the ram which should be good for multitasking.
My thoughts exactly, I would go with A also. I find that if I need computing power, I'll use my desktop. A quad-core CPU is overkill in my book. As I have a 1Ghz CPU in my phone (Galaxy S) now (and I find it fast enough for my needs), a dual-core 1.8Ghz CPU would be more plenty fast for me. I would rather have a better camera and more ram, not to mention the card slot.
By the way, these are the two phones I am talking about...

And the

Now these are not available yet, but I did mention I was looking at phones that will be coming out in the near future.

Take A....
You dont need a Quad Core...
So you have a better Camera and a micro usb slot. Thats important for me.

Mi5 32 GB vs 64 GB/128 GB

Hi, I'm really interested in buying a Xiaomi Mi5, but uncertain on which one to buy. 32 GB is more than enough for me, my doubts are in performance.
Dual-core 1.8 GHz Kryo & Dual-core 1.6 GHz Kryo vs Dual-core 2.15 GHz Kryo & Dual-core 1.6 GHz Kryo
Adreno 530 GPU 510 MHz vs Adreno 530 GPU 624 MHz
3 GB LPDDR4 RAM 1333 MHz Dual Channel vs 3 GB LPDDR4 RAM 1866 MHz Dual Channel
Does these different specs have a big impact on performance? Is it worth the price difference?

What will you use it for? If for intensive gaming or video recording, CPU & RAM speed matters, a lot.
Thanks for the video @silverback, but I was looking for something more than benchmarks, like "normal" use, will I experience any slowdowns or lag with the 32 GB version compared to the 64?

Not heavy gaming, but some multitasking. That's what worries me.
Where I want to buy, it's almost 50€ difference.
Even the underclocked SD820 and the slower ram are very fast. You shouldn't have any problems / slowdowns.

The 32GB version would be fine for that.

Doubt between 4/4x with 4gb ram and 64gb and the 4 prime/pro with 3gb ram and 32gb

A little help, I am in doubt about the 4x and 4 pro / prime, I have some questions
1- I will notice a lot of day-to-day performance difference between a snapdragon 435 (28nm) at 1.4ghz and a 625 (14nm) at 2.0ghz
2 - being the 4x / 4 encounter with versions of 4gb ram and 64gb of storage and the 4Pro 3gb ram and 32gb, 4gb of ram would help in the performance of the 4 / 4X?
3- In 32GB versions, when starting the first time, how much storage is left in the device?
Hey,
1. It depends on your usage. Im no gamer and im not lagging with 3/32GB 4X.
2. Not really, but if you have a lot of data you cant put on the SD card id rather take the 64GB.
3. About 24GB on internal. SD up to 128 GB i guess, im only running a 64 SD card.
Maybe you should check the available frequencies supported by each model. Needs depend on your carrier.

upgrade Asus P9X79 Deluxe 128 GB RAM

Hello I have a motherboard Asus P9X79 Deluxe with 64 GB RAM DDR4 GSkill 2400 MHz (8x8)
on the official website they say that this motherboard supports until 128 GB RAM but there is nothing in the Quality Vendor List about 128 GB.
It seems like the productor Intelligent Memory has new modules of 16 GB RAM DDR3 1333 Mhz compatible the seller is Menphis
My question is better 64gb at 2400 MHz or Better 128gb at 1333 Mhz?
Are there modules of 16 GB DDR4 at 2400 or 3000 MHz compatible? Wich One I must to buy?
