14 day weather app - Galaxy S6 Themes and Apps

Thought some of you out there would like to know that this app is only 10p as part of app of the week I've noticed how it goes into great depth and can warn you on bad weather so will be interesting if it does as well as dark sky !

its not possible until accuweather decide to measure 14 days ahead of us
im not sure this technology exist and humanity can get exact measures only 10 days ahead

12hr or 24hr Clock?

I'm a 24hr person. I used to use 12hr but i sometimes set the clock to right in the pm instead of am. Which one do you use?
24 hours mostly... although I dabbled with 12hour clocks when I was using watches...
12 hr haven't tried the 24.

I'm ex navy so I can use a 24 hour clock with no problems, but I never go change the settings.

always 24h. no particular reason. I like it more. It's pro lol
in germany we need to take the 24h version. pm and am is to complicated ^^
Always 24 hr clock.... ALWAYS!
Sent from a lounge chair on my deck. Jelly?
24 hrs – except for analog wrist watches, of course.
I think this may even be legally needed (ISO norms, and all that)…
Why didn’t you make a poll out of this?
PS: Did you know that the USA officially switched to the metric system in the 1970s?
12 hours boi
Both
In everyday speak and wrist watches i use 12 and in phone/digital clocks 24

Always 24h. I also use yyyy in the date format even though I know that yy will do for my lifetime. I guess it's just habit now.
I can't do 24 hour format. They had it at one of my previous jobs and I'd always need to figure out what time it was. I got decent at it but I don't like having to think when looking for the time.
Always 24, because -- personally -- I find the idea of AM/PM absolutely redundant.
"PH'NGLUI MGLW'NAFH CTHULHU R'LYEH WGAH'NAGL FHTAGN"
i can use both but i prefer 12h, much easier
12 for me i can stand looking at a clock and see 13:00
24 ,its the only way to go. Am pm is useless and redundant. Its much less confusing and the standard
Sent from my nexus on a kang from simms
24 hr. dont like the am pm tips.
24h clock, it's easier and less confusing
24h for time and dd/mm/yy fir date

Apps for 2 Year Old

Hi There!
I am looking for some apps my 2 year old might enjoy playing with very occasionally? Something with BIG bright colours etc..
Play to him Tom & Jerry episodes. You can not miss with this
My daughter's favorites are kidpaint and five little monkeys
Sent from my SPH-P100 using XDA App
Mine is entertained with the gallery...particularly movies of himself.

I use Kid mode for my 19 month and 4yr old.
I found a heap of the old Dr Suess books, I believe I paid for them on he market but they read the story to the child, my nephew, and allow you to point at pictures in the story. It tells you what they are and spells them out. At 1, this isn't important, but the noise and pictures seem to be engrossing to him....
My son loves Talking Tom
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.outfit7.talkingtom&feature=search_result
check all the apps-games from this link , its really glowing
https://market.android.com/search?q=glow+hockey&so=1&c=apps
My 2 and 3 year olds love nearly all these apps, get the hd versions for the tab, https://market.android.com/search?q=Intellijoy&so=1&c=apps
Also recommend the little critter books on the market, excellent value for the quality.

Kid Mode is great.
It's already a compilation of a lot of activity that my 2 year old enjoys.

Chameleon

Hey guys, who has tried out the new chameleon launcher? It is pretty good. Very intuitive. Although, i feel like there is not nearly as much customization. Does anybody want me to post a video?

is it released already to playstore?
Yep

Aww man! I was saving my Google play store gift card credit for this and I just realised that I only have 7 dollars left over so I can't buy this. I hope there is a sale for this app in the future

$10 is way too much for just a launcher I think... looks cool though.
It looks good, but I thought even $4 was to much for Nova...
I might be a little guilty about it, buy it is pretty good. The main feature that someone would want with this is the changing, which means it will take you to a home page at a certain time, depending on location
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
So what's the big deal about this?
I don't see anything special about this launcher. Plus $10 is way too much for a mere launcher, especially considering they used Kickstarter to gather their fund in the beginning.
It is just new. The main reason to buy it is because of the gos integration thing. So say you are a t school or work, it will take you to a customized place for those things

Awesome concept, apart from price, the only use provided widgets, laggyness and lack of customization is a big downfall but they should get fixed seeing that it's only v1
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
I don't actually know how practical this thing is by putting on a whole bunch of auto-update widgets clunking on the home screen to suck the battery.
I'd rather keep my home screen as minimalist as possible.

It should have been fixed in beta. There's no reason to bring something out of beta if there are glaring bugs and lack of features. Especially with a $10 price tag. They should have just had an open beta instead of charging people to participate. I mean Kickstarter.
I use it, I love it, doesn't affect my battery doesnt slow the tablet down(only full storage seems to do that). Ten bucks for something that you have the potential to use for the entire time you use android is not much when looked that way.
To the other guy wondering why they went on kickstarter first then just to sell it later. Let me explain people need food, drink, and a place to stay and or work. So kickstarter to fund the app and be able to pay people to work on it. I didn't have to rebuy it or anything, so

I got it earlier this morning and it's pretty nice, I dunno if I'll use it as my daily for a while though. I really wish it could use other widgets though... And they better not charge for new ones.

I keep my home screens bare or to a minimum for this very reason.
But the location thing is cool I guess for people who need something like that.
Personally, I'll pass... $10 is way too much foe an app like this, IMHO.

The developers probably got rich off he funding from kick starter and re now recouping their actual costs trough the ridiculously high play store price. I don't see the Point of such a radical launcher departure. The novelty will soon we're off.

it's a neat idea, but let's be honest, no one's gonna use that changing homescreen feature. And it doesn't auto change, a popup comes up and asks u if you want to change homescreen. Kinda defeats the purpose, especially when it's only a swipe away.
True. It isn't as great as stock, but could be useful

I wonder if any developers here on xda with HTML skills be interested in converting existing apps into Widgets for this. Like a chameleon dedication thread of popular apps with API converted to be compatible with this launcher.

It's so parents have something to distract their kids with. But then really parents should be giving their attention to their kids.
You are right though the last time I gave my tablet to my niece to play with she step on it and broke the screen.

For me the question is : is their toys is a galaxy tab s at 4 years old... what will they ask at 8, 10, etc...
For me it is unbelievable to leave a nextgen phone/tab to a little child...
It would be good to teach them the value of the money...

i have a Moto Razr and Razr HD that my 3 and 5 year old use and i limit it to a few hours every couple days and no using in my truck unless its a long trip.
i have them both in cool kids protective cases so no worries there.
i REALY wish there was something as nice as the Kids Mode in a 3rd party app but with updates and then having to repick default launcher etc etc the 3rd party are just not that good.
i use a KitKat Launcher that i keep it on Airplane mode and have the stuff they can use on the home screens that infinite scroll and there is no app drawer or taskbar so you have to have a unique swipe to get to app drawer and setting for occasional app updates etc..
i also disabled hardware buttons and replaced with onscreen and that helped a LOT!
anyway not exactly on point but related

My 2 year old plays with learning apps on my old Ipad2 for no more than 30 min about every other day. She's learning while typically I'm preparing her dinner while the wife is at work still. If she breaks it, I'm not going to weep over it.

Weather App?

I've been using Weather Underground for years but the most recent update is horrible and pretty much ruined the app.
I'm looking for a good replacement, any suggestion?

Plus one on Dark Sky. Yes it's paid, only $2.99 per year, but I did the trial, kept it, and it's so worth it during the rainy season here in Tampa. It's very accurate in notifying the start, end, and severity of the rain.

If you're in the USA, NOAA Weather Unofficial is worth checking out. All data coming straight from NOAA. And it can work without granting location permission. There is also a free version.

Been using weather bug elite for years now.
I have been using Weather and Clock Widget for a few years.
Great Info and app.

the weather channel has become pretty nice esp if you pay $0.99/month to lose the ads. that's kind of steep but its the most accurate & reliable for me. it's more info now, less clutter. my google rewards app makes me enough pocket change each month to pay for it. the other apps mentioned are also very good, probably like weatherbug the most. I tried to get used to the weather underground apps update but I had to give it up. I would think they would revise the revision considering all the 1 star floggings it is getting on the play store.

FlowX
Live satellite data and forecast modelling using the highest resolution data available from the NOAA, CMC and DWD. You'll need to pay an annual fee for the super high res info, and you need to understand meteorological data, but every single weather app from the weather network to google is using 15-25km/pixel data. FlowX has multiple 2.5km/px feeds. If you live in a valley where forecasting is often inaccurate, this difference in weather data resolution is critical to receiving actionable forecasts.
It displays intuitive color-coded visualizations of everything from temperature to pressure to ocean currents. You can also combine multiple satellite feeds. Use CMC HRDPS to forecast the next 48 hours and then swap to DWD ICON for the 3 days after that and then CMC GDPS15. for the 5 days following those.
