Can someone port the s6 Keyboard to the S5mini SM-G800F with Android 5.1.1??:crying:
Nobody can help me?
Check Albe_95's work
Do you have TWRP installed? I am almost sure if you replace the system apk for keyboard from one of the G800H mods or one of the ports of the keyboard available searching the internet (and setting the proper permissions for files and folders, of course) it should work for G800F since it has an ARM processor too. To be safe, backup your full system first to an external SD.
PS: don't flash the full backup, just extract and copy the keyboard related files. Flashing the full zip will brick your device.

Dear co-members and developers,
ther is one question, that i have not been able to find answer for.
Is it possible to unzip/mount the official Galaxy Note rom, then change som apk (for exmaple i want to change the launcher for the TW5.0 one, or replace the originial phone.apk with another one) and after this, to flash it via odin. (i do not wish to root the phone)
Until now, i was able to extract the factoryfs.img, change the format to ext4 via simg2img (one of the tool i found on xda) and mount it (i could transfer files). But now, i am not sure if i can flash such edited file into my note without bricking it (since i change the filesystem little bit (as i understand the transformation process from samsung img to ext4 img).
Thank you for your answers.

Yes you can .But I doubt that it may give you triangle or counter. In that case, its better to root, install cwm, make your files a cwm zip, flash it in recovery....
Thank you for your answer.
The real issues is not really the counter, but the fact that i converted the "official" samsung img to ext4. I ma kind of afraid what that might do with my phone

may be the best way is to root, install cwm, make your mod along with other unmoded files into cwm zip, flash it to check if it works. If it work, then make a odin rom.
It has two advantages:
1.You can find if the mod works.Take a backup before trying the mod and if it dont work.restore the backup.
2.It wont brick your phone in anyway
I found that I had a lot of S-Memo files backed up from when I was not avoiding TouchWiz and I needed to open them. I have a backup file which is in the .snn format I assume that means Samsung S Note or whatever but I noticed this file format cannot be opened with an archive software unlike the .snb (Samsung S-Note). Is there any way I could go about opening the .ssn extension without going back on TouchWiz?
Thanks in advance.

What is needed to dual boot a device? Some devices like the Samsung galaxy Plus have this feature. Can this work on S3 mini too? Couldn't we install the second ROM not in the root folder but in another folder and then to run it by symlinking the folder just like foldermount does?
Sorry if my questions are considered silly by some...

Not possible for us, for now. Do a little research on xda & you'll find your answer. This has been asked more than once here
What about that: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2451661 ? Can someone get it to work for s3 mini?

This one cannot be applied to our phone
First, our partitions point to different devices.
Second, there is not enough space as described in tutorial for all mount points (/system /data /cache)
/system in our case needs minimum 500MB with only UltraSlim_Gapps package installed
/data can be enough only for few apps
/cache on our device have 840MB, 80MB from tutorial isn't enough
workaround found - downgrade to stock Froy 2.2.1 - IMEI back - still no idea how to use backed up efs file(s)
(c&p or s.th. else)
Still open: where to download and which version of TWRP for stock? did not find any:cyclops:
Btw.: it is my own smartphone (o-bill) and should be not a solution of all those telling stories of the mobile of a friend of a friend
It took me hours to find the wright files and I had 5x soft bricks with boot loops...
BETTER would have been a solution how to reinstall efs (write protected) if you don't have TWRP or if you copied efs file obviously wrong like me (just c&p to desktop); edit single file(s) or rename or what ever

Hi forum,
I'm hesitated: IMEI was replaced
Backed up my efs file and installed really good roms (Omni 5.1.1., Lineage OS 11 (=4.4.4), CM12, and others)
Then I tried to exchange the small 512 MB RAM with a 32GB micro SD. Card was actually recognized as a 8GB one.
So I took it away to use it somewhere else and formatted it therefore.
Since then my IMEI has been replaced with the general one for developers - however, I need my S1 back fully.
This is the assumed root cause - maybe also it just happens sometimes if triying different roms...
Back to the facts:
I do know my IMEI
I have 5 copies of the efs file since 2013
when tried to restore from backup TWRP did do but showed failure with the efs file
Tried mobileuncle and others - failed because MTK engineer mode cannot be used (not supporten cause of other chip maybe) AND therefor
this quick win actions via dialer (#*#....) also do not work for me
root rights? Yes
SU? YES
Hex editor? YES
Must I really go back to stock (Froyo) with Odin and this stuff I forgot how to deal with it?
Or does anybody here has a proper solution how to fix this IMEI-RE-ENTRY-issue that is not too much time consuming and save? I searched for hours here and in other forums as well as in the internet...
I appreciate smart solutions and thank you all in advance

My A5 2017 (A520F) is installed with the Samsung Firmware - Russian Nougat & rooted with Magisk 13.3.
A Brief Rant (Skip the red text, to move right to the issue):
My last Samsung was Galaxy S2 and so many years later, the new Samsung software has become so wannabe iPhone.
So difficult to access my own SD Card via WiFi Transfer and installing a simple theme seems impossible. Due to lack of stable Custom ROM I am sticking to the default firmware as I need the VoLTE (not stable in Lineage OS).
Can anyone please help with the following:
1. How to install a Theme downloaded from the internet? I downloaded Swift Black_10.7.apk but it down't show up in the Settings > Wallpaper & Themes. Installed Substratum too, but doesn't work either.
2. How to get write access to SD Card in WiFI Transfer? I can transfer data through USB on the SD, but when I try to transfer data through WiFI File Transfer, I get the message Sorry, this directory is not writable. Even In ES File explorer, the System or the Emulated folder does not get the Write access despite ticking the 'Write' box
Any solutions?
Got the same problem with WiFi File Transfer pro.

Firstly u need to install any aosp based custom rom. Such as Resurrection Remix. Then install substratum. It works 1000%. I personally used it A520F in Oreo. Remember Substratum doesn't work any stock os. Thnks.
Sorry for my bad english. Cause english isn't my mother tongue.
