Why aren't there that many roms for this phone, I've been using this phone for a while and there are only a handful of roms? What is going on?

There are quite a few Android 5.1 (Lollipop) ROMs for the Tmobile variant. Development takes time though and considering Android 6.0 (MM) was just released to the Tmobile variant of the S6 a few weeks ago it will be a bit until variant specific ROMs hit the boards.
The XtreStoLite ROM seems to have the most development at present but keep in mind that ROM is based on International which received the MM well before the Tmobile USA variant.
Also this device has the exynos core processors. Much harder to develops on than snapdragon.
I'll bet there will be aosp on this phone by 2018

Because unlike those other guys AT&T chose to have Samsung lock the boot loader to keep rouge software off of their network. Even though there are countless other brands and models on their network running custom ROMS. Seems they want to set a standard of security with this phone and make it safe for corporate users.
Maybe because we literally just got safestrap? Not to fear though, the t mobile roms work. I have latest xnote on my stock slot and jedi on slot 1

Does anyone know of any other Roms that may possibly work on s5 active? Don't mean to gripe or complain but active only has like 4 Roms and of those Roms only one has an updated version. I like this phone but was thinking of getting rid of it to get a Note 4. There are so many Roms for other Samsung phones and S5 active is getting left out. Does anyone know of other Roms that may work? Just tired of seeing the same ones.

S5 active is pretty specific and with locked BL only TouchWiz roms work and only unity and DK offer cross compatible roms at this point

Hello so it looks like germany is recieving lollipop to the 910f can any dev please try to port it over to our device?.
Why? If snapdragon version receives update in Germany, US version shouldn't be far away. Let developer use their resources for something else.

Carriers still need to add bloat and crap may take longer..

Oh please do but don't we need a kernel first? ..
Coming from a Nexus 5 I am not all that excited about 5.0.
In my opinion you lose more than you gain. Google took a step back with lollipop.

Nexus 5 is stock android, we're gonna be getting touchwiz, including all the features.
Different from the nexus lollipop.

Uh, yeah, I know that. Just stating many people say the stock lollipop is buggy, I had no issues. I'm certain Samsung will screw it up.

Hey guys,
Is it possible to flash a international firmware onto an AT&T phone? If so, what's the best firmware to use? The BTU one?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G925A using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
The bootloader hasn't been unlocked yet and there's no root...my guess...no...unless you want to brick it.
You can't flash anything until the bootloader is unlocked. If it even gets unlocked

Thanks! Just trying to understand how this all works. I was able to do that on my HTC M8 so I thought I'd be able to do it on the Galaxy S6 Edge as well.
Thanks again.

If you like custom ROM's I'd go back to M8 or get an M9 dev edition. Going off the past Galaxy models on AT&T you are likely to never get the bootloader unlocked. Unless Samsung does something similar to what HTC did but I doubt it.
I really liked the M8 but the camera was one of the worst cameras I've had on a phone. The camera on the S6 edge is awesome and I'm happy with the phone. I may end up returning the AT&T version and getting a T-mobile or international version instead.

A word of caution, the International versions won't support carrier aggregation or VoLTE or HD Voice...Unless you have a specific need for root, you can disable 98% of the AT&T bloat. I ended up returning my International model because of these reasons and due to the fact that the signal was noticeably worse with the international version.

Thanks for your input! I'm really not sure what to do. I love this phone and I want to keep it. I have disabled almost all the AT&T bloat now and it's working OK. There's some interesting stuff happening here at XDA and maybe we'll be able to unlock the bootloader on the AT&T devices like the Chinese version, so I'm at a dilemma right now. I have until May 12 to return my device so I will decide by then. Although, after what you said, I may not want to get an international version after all, especially if the signal is not as good as the AT&T version...
So...
Did you flash the international firmware to your AT&T edge? If so how'd it turn out? Do you miss those features mentioned?
Thanks in advance.
No. I don't believe it's possible to do so until the bootloader is unlocked. I'm still using the AT&T version and haven't decided to trade it for the international version yet.

I was about to purchase the International version but there are tons of posts
on not all of the ATT LTE bands being supported. The ATT version even has the
2 brand new bands that will be rolled out so add those 2 bands to the unsupported list.
98% of the bloat can be disabled and you will get the Voice over LTE. I cancelled my
International version and ordered the ATT version. I am not looking back.
Also if you paid full price for the the phone you will get unlock code after 60 days.

No. T-Mobile ROMS belong to T-Mobile branded phones. Right now, Verizon has no ROMS.
