That still let ya have working fingerprint scanner, heart rate, uv etc sensors and what not, BeastMode, Emotion any others? I haven't tried Emotion yet, but when I had my Note Edge I was using it.
Also best kernel control app's.

Hello everyone
How do I undervolt my phone which is running JVT Rom with Dark Core kernel 4.1 for JVT? I tried using voltage control but the tab for setting voltages is missing. I have tried a lot of other kernels but Dark Core seems the best overall, however the lack of undervolt is really putting me off.
Any help would be appreciated.
Just use TalonDEV or Semaphore with Thunderbolt tweaks and never look back just mentioning it as it seems your after battery life? Thunderbolt is great for that! With either of the above.. Plus both have great support here.
As for Darkcore could try Control Freak or Pimp My CPU or the Darky forums for better support.

Hey I am currently using Adrenaline Shot with Dark Core Kernel, and I have already tried semaphore and TalonDev before. Those are great kernels but nothing beats Dark Core's performance when combined with Adrenaline shot. Now I know that this comes with a hefty cost of your battery life, so I was wondering if I could undervolt to squeeze some extra juice out of battery when it is sleeping. I will try Control Freak and see if it works. Also, can you link me to Thunderbolt and is it a CWM flashable package? Also can it be mixed with Adrenaline Shot?
EDIT: Nope Control Freak is a no-go. Doesn't work. Man this is really difficult for me. I love the incredible stability and performance of Dark Core Kernel but the absence of undervolting is a hit.
get setcpu and then put the maximum slider back to watever you want
Hello,
I just got myself an optimus 4x HD and i was wondering why it so slow and hanging everytime when i want to open the menu. Also the battery life is very poor.
I read that the tegra 3 is very nice powerful and smart power saving.
So what can i do to get that effect?
I got the latest android STOCK ROM installed and the stock kernel.
I want to flash cyanogenmod only when i 100 percently know that this will fix my problem.
(When i do can i get official roms? I had an XU before and there was no official CM ROM for it)
Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad language (im using tapatalk and the battery is going low very fast so i got to hurry )
Tegra 3 itself is, but the p880 isn't. You can't do really much. There are tweaks that give you a bit better performance OR battery life. Best battery life is on stock, with tweaks you may reach the same on custom roms. Custom roms tend to have better performance. There are plenty of official roms for the device.
Damm it well ill try official cm rom and a custom kernel there are plenty of them so there is nothing i can do now?

Actually i find custom roms to be friendly with battery.
With my device and stock roms i get about 2h screen and and 8-9h overall life.
With custom roms - about 2.30h screen and 11h. overall.
i use only 2g, wi-fi always on, screen brightness 35%.
no auto sync, no location detection.
According to me, this settings are FAR away from battery drainage, still the device battery life sux.
3 Major drawback with p880
- absurd battery life
- camera quality is very bad for 8mp, it makes pics more like 5mp
- overheating constantly, no matter what rom, kernel or settings
Yeah i noticed that... well actually in winter the overheating point is not that bad... got an alternative to LG P880? Maybe with Tegra 4 or K1 (acutally never heard of smartphone with K1 inside)
Tapatalking ^^
With Nova Launcher and Leandroid it works pretty good
Try it its smooth and battery will last little bit longer
Tapatalking ^^
You have to think of the p880 as an alfa romeo 8c,
great specs, good design, good components but a shopping cart has better handling
on stock JB ROM, i had to disable the hidden MLT to get rid of the lags, to a certain extent
now on Beanstalk 4.4.4010 with Archidroid's optimizations + iodak v10 CM kernel, my battery is lasting over a day (with light usage 1.5-2hrs onscreen time). never even got close to that with stock JB ROM.
Performance is also much better on the said ROM and kernel
Just curious if anyone is working on a custom kernel. Battery life on the stock kernel seems not so great.
I personally would like to see a kernel aimed toward 1. better battery 2. customization and 3. performance.
Thanks in advance
Customization would be great, but I can't see how we could get even more battery life than we're already getting. It feels like moto has already squeezed the blood out of the turnip with this little battery.
Think the battery is quite good on 4.4.4. Not so good on lollipop
Wish I knew more of doing this lol. The screen is way too warm for my tastes. A custom kernel which at least has RGB customization would be amazing for this phone!

Did you have a Samsung before? This is my first non-sammy device in four years. I LOVE it but the screen colors are warm as you say. I am use to over saturation from hell.

I haven't had a Samsung since the S II lol. I'm more of a colder screen person such ala Apple devices (I know... lol). I mean this isn't bad bad; just a touch bluer and I'd be super happy. I'm using a screen adjuster app right now but I'd prefer to do some low level tweaking at the kernel level over a screen tinter app. But alas, I don't know too much about building kernels! It doesn't even appear as if Motorola has pushed out the kernel source for Lollipop yet.
I'm coming from the N6 (returned within my 14 days...usability just wasn't there for me, way too big to be practical as a phone) which I had just flashed a custom kernel and was able to tweak the RGB just to my liking so I'm hurting a bit here!!! LOL
Hello,
So im willing to try some kernels for my Nexus to see whats the best for my needs.
I want to compare the stock kernel to the leankernel, franco kernel and the ElementalX kernel.
Comperasion criterias:
1. Faster booting
2. Fastest performence as possible without hurting battery life in comparison to the stock kernel.
3. Better battery life as possible without hurting performence in comparison to the stock kernel.
So how can i compare those kernels? should i just flash each kernel and use AnTuTu Benchmark and Better Battery Stats on each one of them?
Choosing the best kernel for me is to give a try for each one and see for myslef - i know that. But i want to see the stats in front of me to reasure im picking the best one and also beacuse iv'e used the chroma and euphoria roms which use leankernel and franco kernel but im not sure the difference is noticeable by eye.
Also, feel free to share your current kernel and opinion about it

1. Stop watch
2 & 3: Not really possible. To give to performance, takes from battery and vice versa. You give 1 to performance, you take 1 from battery. There are no magic settings that allow you to give 1 to performance and only take 0.5 from battery.
I hope the attached image helps to explain that
There are also other things to factor like the governor, scheduling, hot plug support , etc.
For example elementalX has its own Governor and I'm not sure it will even default itself to be used. You will need some type of kernel configuration tool to enable it .
There is also how YOU are using your phone. Just too many variables to consider

Yeah for sure.
I always say that because kernel x performs more than kernel y out-of-the-box, it doesn't mean you can't set kernel y up to perform like x... It's just a trade off whichever way you go.
My personal advice is find a kernel that has the features you want, then configure the governor with the bias you want to see. I always go for Elementalx. @flar2 sets the best balance of battery and performance in my opinion, though I always alter my settings to suit my needs anyway
Hi all,
Currently looking for an upgrade from my Moto G and have a specific list of requirements (long-ish battery life, cheap-ish, ideally fast charging, ideally ANT+, ideally waterproof, accurate GPS for tracking runs) which the S5 seems to meet well. Only thing I dont think I could live with is TouchWiz (and the assosciated lag I would expect it would bring with it).
My question: how is CM running on these devices with regards stability and force closes etc. Can live with a small dip in camera quality and having never had a fingerprint scanner I wont miss it but really need a rock solid, stable device. Is there a better alternative out there (am also closely considering the Zuk - but not waterproof and possibly patchy GPS - and the Moto X Play - slightly more expensive and reports of lag)?

ahhh, yes. apologies. Will go and post over there. Cant see any way to close this thread. mods, and chance it could be locked/deleted please.
