I'm on B10 right now, with a new update to B15 pending from this afternoon.
Part of the update to B15 has me concerned: "Added a new application, WeShare"
What is WeShare, do I need it, can I uninstall it (easily)? I can find precious little about it - a relatively poorly rated app on the Google Play store, and as a Google search result, possibly some way of making "extra money." I've been happy with this phone and its software (minus Yahoo Sports) so far, but my skeevy sense is ringing here. Should it be?
Unfortunately its not easily uninstallable, you can disable it. When initially running WeShare it asks for a lot of permissions such as GPS, read/write into your files, I just didnt bother touching it at all.

Just got B15 today myself. After reading your post pointing out the installation of "WeShare," there is, indeed, painfully little online about it. The "WeShare" Apps on Google Play appear to be unrelated. No idea who wrote it (ZTE or a vendor). I took the chance to authorize the permissions (I have nothing of great value to lose), and it appears the App is, essentially, a media-sharing App for transferring stuff to another (especially a new) phone. It also appears to have a Backup & Restore feature. Haven't used any part of it yet. I'll do some more research and post if I find anything more.

I did some more research and found an older version of WeShare on Google Play, with a similar but different icon. In B15, the icon is a white paper airplane on a medium green background. The older version (6.2.8.2462), for the Chinese market, is a white paper airplane on a lighter green and yellowish background. The good news is it's a ZTE product; the listed developer is "中兴通讯" which is ZTE in Chinese, and the contact is a ZTE employee at the Chinese domain.
As a newbie, I can't post URLs, but if you search for 中兴通讯 WeShare at Google Play, you'll find it.
This update seems to make Marshmallow more stable. Before the update, I had problems with Blue Mail constantly crashing. However I haven't had this problem with Blue Mail or any other app. since installing the update. Also, battery life barely drains at all on standby. It's almost as good as turning the phone off.
It looks like the camera blur issue is solved through this patch.
Looks like it solved the Nova Launcher issue. Haven't had any memory leak/lag issues.

I'm playing 24bit 96.0KHz Flac files and they work fine on the default music player and other downloadable android music players after the update. Maybe there's an issue with just 192khz ones? idk. I don't have any of those on my device right now.
Just got a new Axon Pro and I was wondering if 0B15 was the last update this device got? I am not worried about nougat because I know we wont get it nor will any developer be able to do it. But can someone confirm if this A1PV1.1.0B15 was the latest one for A1P?

I wrote to ZTE and have been told that the Axon Pro will not receive any additional updates. As far as they are concerned, the phone is dead.

I have an lg gpad, and I keep getting the crash of system ui. The tablet is unusable until I do a restart of the device. It happens every time I cast either YouTube or other casting apps and I pull the notification panel down. That starts the crash right away. I've factory restored my Chromecast, factory reset tablet, with fresh install of all apps. I am stumped and getting really annoyed at this issue. Any help in a resolution would be greatly appreciated.
Make sure your apps and Google Play Services are updated. They work hand-in-hand.

Updating them did not help. There is a work around, at least for YouTube. Go find the APK for an app called OG YouTube and use the OLD version (4.x)
There's no cue, but you can Chromecast without crashing the entire planet.
I bought the Note Pro with the intent to Chromecast. I feel so ripped off right now, especially since it worked for a little while when I got it. Then an update came down and broke it all. I've read elsewhere that the devs don't seem to give a crap about it, claiming there is no report of the issue even though many many many users are online complaining about it.

That's a bit unfair to the devs, IMO. Chromecast is dependent on so many moving parts that things go haywire when major updates roll out. It's much like when Facebook does back-end updates, unfortunately.
The major moving parts are:
Cast SDK
Chromecast firmware (build number)
Google Play Services
App
Not to mention the individual devices running the Chromecast-enabled app(s).
Until they're all synced up with the correct version "set" things tend to be wacky, and because the Chromecast app whitelist is essentially "live" and I don't think Chromecast has a defined way to know the service or device properties...
tl;dr - give it a few days. Likely it will magically all start working - unless there's something else at fault in the configuration.
Being that it seems the prior version of YouTube works, it may simply be a bug introduced in the update.

Thanks Bubble... Argh, I just upgraded to 4.4.2, but this may explain why the recent Netflix update disabled hardware volume control even on 4.3
Well guys I'm pretty sure you are in the knowledge of the Cyanogen's problems. I would like to rollback to the original Moto X Android Version, even If I need to use my minimal space with annoying useless apps like spotlight and others.
My main question is, how can I rollback to the original version?
For other side I need to be clear about the errors with Cyanogen :
- Bluetooth, I can not share my music with any Bluetooth device.
- Related with the previous error, I always have a "pop-up" error with Audio FX is broken in all audio device
- I can not reproduce videos with the original player, I installed the VLC's player
- My GPS is insane, sometimes works, but most of the time has trouble using google maps changing the position. Weird.
- All my Google's accounts have the "Can not sync data" error.
- Sometimes the gallery is broken
- The 3g's speed went down, but this can be my freaking ISP, but anyone knows.
My currently version is :: 12-20150202-NIGHTLY-ghost but is happen with previous versions too
I'd appreciate a link or tutorial with the steps for install the original ROM.
Regards in advance.
1. I see a twelve assuming you have cm12 and that is not the latest nightly, but since you want to update...there is a link to flash back to stock if you scroll the general section for just a few moments and it'll walk you though it.

Woah you are on 2-02? That's one of the early builds. They have updated to 10-04. I have been using CM since 15-03 and it has been super stable and mostly bug free.
This may be an odd question and I might be completely out of my depth. I got a swanky new set of bluetooth headphones for my Nexus 6 earlier this week so that I can surreptitiously play more games with audio at work. I noticed a handful of the games I wanted to play had incredibly bizarre sound distortions.
Doing some digging and asking elsewhere pointed me to a defect in the Unity engine that describes this exact case. (Tried to post a URL here but apparently I have too few posts. Unity Issue tracker 758142)
Apparently this is a feature that is only supported by some devices, so I was hoping there might be a way to bypass or toggle this feature until the Unity defect is fixed and some of these game makers update their apps.
Any pointers?
Okay, seemed to have figured it out myself:
Using Root Explorer, renamed /etc/permissions/android.hardware.audio.low_latency.xml to .bak and restarted
Some games not having the issue, now.
Make a backup!

Only supported by certain phones, apparently. Here's the relevant extract from the android configuration XML mentioned in my reply comment:
Code:
<!-- This is the feature indicating low-latency audio, as specified by the
CDD. ONLY devices that meet the CDD's requirements may declare this
feature. -->
<permissions>
<feature name="android.hardware.audio.low_latency" />
</permissions>
this could help fixing some games, but it's lowering the sound quality.

I'm not sure I follow you. The OP talks about renaming the file to prevent it getting used. Did you try that, but delete it instead?
Anyway, you should use the version of the file that belongs to your rom. If you deleted that, just dirty-flash your rom to get it back.
If your rom comes without the file, then we must assume that the rom developer found that to be the best. Talk to your dev if he is active.
If you just dump an old version of the file into a new rom, there is no telling what will happen. But feel free to try. The contents of the file is listed in a previous post.

Okay, I just read some more. This file doesn't seem to change the system behavior. It just sets a flag that apps can read and that tells them that the phone supports low latency.
In the OP's case, some games used different code when they found the flag, leading to the problem. But I assume that that has been fixed long ago.
You can find the original file here:
https://android.googlesource.com/pl...ta/etc/android.hardware.audio.low_latency.xml
I looked at the folder indicated, but on my rom (Nitrogen Pie) the file isn't there. However, if I can trust the app I used (System Info for Android), the flag is set anyway. So it seems it gets set elsewhere.
thanks bro, but i already flashed the ROM again, sorry for late reply
Hello!
I'm afraid my phone might have malware. Hopefully it's a false alarm but I would appreciate any insight into the behavior:
Yesterday I saw a notification with the EMUI icon (stylized red "UI") but when bringing up the notification panel all I saw was a green "down" arrow and no text. I've had apps with bugs creating broken notifications before so I tapped it to check. It sent me to a webpage flagged as a source of malware "d1.3gmimo.com/handpet/wallpaper/...<can't remember rest>". I closed the page and since Chrome showed the warning before loading the page I think it's safe to assume I didn't download anything.
I don't know the origin of the notification though so I'm afraid there might be some malware already present. It had the EMUI icon but that can be faked or may be the default when no icon is configured (not sure how it works).. The notification appeared over mobile data so no router redirect infection. Searches gave me only one hit I could make sense of - a forum thread with the poster describing a similar event. They got not explanation but see here for their screenshots: Google Translate on thread-5858387-1-1.html on club.huawei.com (can't post links yet it seems)
I am very careful with the apps I install, avoid all the copycat crap, and I only allow Google Play as a source. The phone was only ever used by me except briefly by a family member which I trust not to download anything sketchy. Still, I uninstalled the most recent 2 apps: Hashi and Nonogram Katana (has ads) , though these had been installed a week before. The list of installed apps shows nothing new/strange. I also installed AVL, Bitdefender, and Avast but they found nothing. (I know it's debated whether av/anti-malware apps are helpful but thought to cover everything.)
Any thoughts?
Thank you in advance!
Phone details:
Huawei P7-L10
Android 4.4.2
EMUI 2.3 (V100R001C02B129)
Branded by Vodafone and with their uninstallable apps - using it on different network though.
I know I should update but the update app doesn't find anything (I understand this may be due to modifications made by telecom companies) and I got lazy since I've had no compatibility issues. I guess I should think more about security.
After doing more digging and learning to use adb to look at the logcat, I think the notification might have been created by VLife, which is Huawei's wallpaper distribution service.
On my phone I have VLife 2.23.3 installed (seems to be stock) as a system app. The title is in Chinese but the icon is the EMUI logo. (I figured out which app it is by the icon and version number, after I found the app hosted on aptoide.com while googling for "vlife".)
I presume what happened is that VLife tried to download a new wallpaper (no idea why all of a sudden) and it went to 3gmimo.com, which might serve as a mirror for apps. The site is flagged as having malware. This might be a false alarm or the site might have been hijacked since my version of VLife came out.
So the app might be ok. Though I'm still worried why the sudden update. Maybe there's a central message that was sent to the app to update? (The logcat below mentions a receiver.) The only suspicious thing about the app otherwise is that it has the permission to record sound along with changing sound settings. The latter isn't so surprising since it provides multimedia wallpapers. Maybe recording comes with the rest of the sound permissions. I've disabled the app and disabled its notifications for now. It can't be uninstalled since it's a system app.
These lines come up quite often in my logcat:
I/am_proc_start( 604): [0,18761,10089,com.vlife.huawei.wallpaper:main,broadcast,com.vlife.huawei.wallpaper/com.vlife.receiver.PetMainReceiver] - the link I got referred to a "handpet"
I/am_proc_start( 604): [0,18907,10089,com.vlife.huawei.wallpaper:main,broadcast,com.vlife.huawei.wallpaper/com.vlife.receiver.InstallEventReceiver]
Does anybody know more about this app or service?
Thanks!
With the last update there came a new UI for the music player interface. Thats quite nice to see Google is active working month by month on improve Android Auto. But there is still a long way ahead. I think on one hand its also danger to change a interface without guide a user in detail about changes.
Sadly as a developer I didn´t find any announcement of this change and now my music player isnt working anymore. Have no clue why...
Maybe someone got a link with details about changes?
Update: Found out Google updated https://developer.android.com/training/auto/audio/ silently to meet the new design and functionality. Sadly it´s hard to see in detail what changed from last version to the actual. I am still wondering why my app isnt working anymore.
