I got a question - XPERIA X8 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi im new here but not so new into the android phones stuff but however
Huh, a few years ago i think i bricked my xperia x8 e15i and now i want to ''bring it back to life'' yes i have tried to ask some technicians from here but any of those ''technicians'' know about the hardbrick (the type of brick that i think my phone have right now), and i was thinking if someone could help me with some possible solutions for it (others than jtag or medusa box of course)

Yes, newer versions are also able to do the job.

a) Check the manufacturing date (sticker below the battery) and then search this Q&A board to make sure your phone isn't too new - you'll find several threads with a warning about phones out of 11W29 and onwards being candidates for a hard brick due to hardware changes. You can NOT revive the phone yourself - you need to send it in for repair and they will most likely change the motherboard! You've been warned to think at least twice!
b) There are several people who unlocked the boot loader while having GingerDX installed through the manual method. Safest way, or course, is to flash back to Stock and unlock from there.

Unlockin bootloader with date above 11W29???
Hey guys I tried unlocking the bootloader on my x8 the manufacturing date was 11W39 so as you can guess I got THE Hardest Brick. Then i took the phone to my mobile operator, told them that it was switched off when i plugged it for charging and that when it said battery full it would not start. And it worked!!! They replaced my motherboard for free I guess the warranty was still valid apparently xD. So, I came home installed GingerDX right away but i really want to port ICS 3.0 on my x8 and i would really appreciate if someone had any ideas how to unlock the bootloader on a motherboard 12W and something above. I've read that a couple of guys managed to do it, so anyone pls help before i go and cash out 400 euros on the HTC One X.
Thanks.

Well, if with 11w39 you got hard brick, you will also hard brick your phone again because the motherboard is even newer. It's better to not try it. You have very very few chances to unlock bootloader with 12w and above!

Successfully UNLOCKED Xperia X8 11W35 just hour ago!
I was scared with all disccussions here but I wanted to try, however it could finish.
I had followed this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1254225
I am not encourageing anyone to do so, but it is good to know that 11W29 is not the limit, maybe it is 11W35?
Or maybe it has something with guidance? For me, guides by SpiderX were succsessfull.

What's your qualification?
You're a hardware engineer / hardware (repair) technician / hardware hacker?
No?
Stop dreaming about home brew repairs (as there is NO option left unless you fulfill the requirement from above, in which case you wouldn't post here) and either send it off to SE or throw it into the trash.

Firstly, you obviously didn't find this thread which would've spared you the trouble.
Secondly, it is a kind-of hardware problem now that you "killed" the phone with a failed boot loader unlock due to the date code being past 11W29
Thirdly, I have no idea what a "experts repair" (to use your words) will cost. So far no one obviously found a phone repair shop where the technicians had the required brains and tools to unbrick the phone - everyone who hard bricked the phone sent it off to SE.

Whoa?! 11W20 hard bricked?
Anyway, since something seems to have went wrong your only option is to send the phone off to SE for repair.
There is, as I already said, NO way for any home-brew repair left - unless you would already own the required hardware to JTAG the phone (RIFF box + X8 JTAG header or Medusa Box + X8 JTAG header).
Get in touch with your local SE service center and ask them how sending the phone in works (and refrain from telling them about what you did - just tell them "I tried to turn it on in the morning and it won't turn on - dunno what's wrong" *1000W angel halo*)
My friend faces same problem with his phone. He hard bricked it. The phone was other one but the logic is the same.
If you phone is still in warranty. Then they wont charge you. As they cannot know whats inside the phone. Is it rooted, unlocked, custom ROM or anything.
Just go to the shop, with this dead phone, tell them you saw this in the morning and something must have happened during the night (like make something up. Ofcourse a good reason) and before you know they will be agreeing to repair your phone with NO COST!
sigh..
guess its a trip to service center..
had that problem too..
You can check this thread

Just send ur phone to service centre nd dey will tell u wat to further !!

After JTag.

well hi guys , i'v being like a month struggling to fix my Gnote with every possible way and with every acknowledge i'v learnt in XDA but so far i couldn't even come closer to repair my phone.
well i hard bricked my note (in purpose) so when i take it to samsung service they don't know what i'v done to my phone.
well i thought in malaysia they will accept the international warranty , well i was wrong after i broke the motherboard (software) they told me we can change the motherboard for you but your phone is not (LOCAL) they can't rewrite the bloody Serial number, till now i couldn't figure out what he means by (your phone is not LOCAL).
anyway i took my phone for repair shop to perform the Jtag and after the Jtag succeed i thought everything will be cool but its not , as the Jtag did not fix the Partition of my phone that causing me alooot of issues.
i accepted to repair it like that as i really miss my bloody phone , installed stock GB , ICS and my phone still like before i hard bricked is kinda laggy it turns off by itself , stuck alooot of times i'd to reboot it manually ( long hold power off ) and this thing is annoying me. if i'm in any CM9-10 my phone will function very normal.
my questions are :
1- does the Jtag perform the Re-Partition for my phone ( because of what i saw it doesn't perform it all ).
2- is there anyway to use stock pit file without stuck-ing- in Factory.img in odin.
i'v to use the patched pit file that eats 8GB from my phone and leave it in a messy functionality. (reboot , lags , stucks).
your help will be appreciated
thanks in advance.
for those who's going to ask me what i did to my phone to become like this ( well i don't really remember ) it has being a month.
P.S don't come here and tell me read , look, search , because i'm well known about XDA .
cheers
bump
You don't tell people how to help you or not.. Use the pit file method if that doesn't work and you can not get your mobo replaced either if you pay for it or for free then trash your phone get a new one and move on...
You said you bricked it on purpose and then say we can not ask what you did?...
You make no sense at all and that's why until now you have no answer..
Cheers

The repair service will probably try to get you not to root. There are no roms for the t759, only for t769.
I guess you could root it again, but dont try to flash recoveries or roms. This is the forum for t679, even thought it has t759's picture on it.
Good luck rooting!
**remember root is at own risk

Help me to fix a Hard Brick!

Hello everyone. I'm here to ask you one thing. Premise: I have a Samsung S3 Mini GT-I8190N
Last week I flashed a kernel that my phone is not supported and then it went in hard brick (I know I'm a sucker ).
Then I searched on the internet various guides on how to fix this brick and I saw guide on the JIG and JTAG.
By JIG I bought one but was not compatible with my phone's model and now another that I'm waiting for it to arrive (it should be compatible). Instead of JTAG I saw the various components that serve and the total price close to 130-140 € then I don't want to talk.
In the meantime I get the second JIG I found by chance a guide on how to fix the hard brick without JTAG.
The problem is that there are only three/ our similar guide to another model i.e. on a S3.
An example is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2369125
An another example is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2581166
I'm coming to the point. In these guides are listed several things which are necessary and the only thing I miss is the debrick image.
I tried getting on google a debrick image for s3 mini i8190/N and there is nothing.
Exasperated, I always find by chance a guide on how to make this debrick. image.
This guide is here: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f60...samsung-debrick-files-only-bootloader-1885507.
I do everything it says and the program tells me that there isn't ATF box which would be similiar a Riff Box for JTAG and this also costs about 110 €. I leave it alone.
After all this I ask: is there another way to create this damn debrick image? Or has anyone found a link to download it?
Or someone know how to fix this damn brick without SEND IT IN ASSISTANCE?
Meanwhile thank you!
P.s. sorry for bad english. I'm a italian guy that know very little english
Hello. I have the same problem. How did you fix it?
