Hey guys, I am using Verizon S5 with AT&T service. The issue I am encountering is only with downloading MMS only.
Currently the phone works 100% with AT&T. Again the only issue is when someone sends me and an MMS.
I am not able to download it nor able to download at all.
I have downloaded Google hangout as well.
Has anyone eran into this issue.
Ask AT&T to send you the service settings for MMS?

Don't really need to ask AT&T to send you these settings since they are online. Here is a link to an article that I found on their site. The URL is https://www.att.com/esupport/article.html#!/wireless/KM1062162. If you still are running into any problems, you may need to go to your local AT&T store (if there's one nearby). I know the people at the AT&T store in my town are very helpful and have been life savers for me a time or two. I used to have my Verizon S5 working on the AT&T network before I bought myself a Nexus 5. The link above should help you take care of your issue with MMS.
Hope that this helps you out.

I have been searching for info on this for about and hour and keep hearing different stories. Will the G1 work on AT&T? I know it will only operate on EDGE. But aside from that will everything else function as normal? SMS messaging? MMS messaging? Android marketplace? Signing into a Google account? The reason I ask is that I'm thinking of pickup up a G1, no real reason, there is just some guy who is trading it for my old 2g iPhone.... Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

Is there any additional setup involved as far as getting data up and running on ATT? Or just pop my SIM in and go?

You may need to research the correct APN and add it to your APN list, but that's it. Everything else should be fine.

Did you flash the newest ROM and are you a tmo custy or an at&t custy? BTW... if you read through the entire 3.2 post you'd have found the solution to your problems was setting the APN under Wireless and Networks.

Did that get fixed? I heard people were still having apn issues even after manually setting them. Guess I'm off to wade through that thread!
I am with T-Mobile and I did this last night using the 3.2 post nothing more and the phone was already root with the 2.2.2 upate.
I looked over the APN post but doesnt really explain lot or give details. I know T-Mobile has 3 APN's that they use so maybe I should call them and get the information for all 3 ? I am assuming one is for MMS and the other two are phone/Data ?
Can you text with this device? I have never been able to... Not without some kind of program like Gvoice or something.

Ok I have been reading for days
I have a note 3 att branded locked
I am using straight talk
I can not get or send a mms message (picture)
When I try to get one I get a download box that will never complete
I have verified the settings on the straight talk Web site and the application
I have tried the ideas I have seen posted but I still can't get one.
Someone suggested it could be the sim card?
I have even turned off lte and tried then turned it on and tried.

Just out of curiosity you don't have an ad blocker installed do you? A lot of those that use proxy settings will block MMS messages from coming to your phone.
No, and I even under installed Google hangout
I went through full tech support with Samsung they said it's the carrier
I can send mms just not get them

I updated to the 8.1 developers preview on my Sprint Samsung Ativ S Neo and everything worked well yesterday. Today when I left the house I found that I can't access cellular data.
I've checked to make sure cellular data is enabled, tried profile updates, etc. and I'm stumped. I was hoping that someone could either direct me to a place where I can download a ROM to flash back to the stock version of WP 8 or suggest some additional troubleshooting steps.

Sounds like you have the same issue. I'm going to the Sprint store after work today, I'll let you know what I find out.

That would be great. I read your post and it is definitely the same issue.
i have fixed my issue with some internet research.
adding manually the APN of the provider in the APN settings solved the issue for me.
hope i helped.

Nevermind - Saw your post in the other thread - Vodaphone.
Who is your provider? Sprint customer service and two Sprint stores were clueless on what the APN should be. I asked the question directly. I have also done much searching and came up with nothing (that works) for Sprint.

Sprint apn settings
Okay, So I'm curious what the sprint apn settings are because nothing allows me to get MMS back working on my developer preview Sprint Samsung Ativ S Neo. If someone could post them that would really help.
The other thing I'm curious about is if anyone knows how to get back to standard windows 8.0 on my sprint samsung ativ s neo. I guess my data problems stem from the fact that I've done a hard reset on the phone and that's why MMS isn't working. I was able to do some tricks with activation to get data working but still no MMS.
Please someone post how to get standard windows 8.0 back. Thanks!
Ok, so I'm a Verizon customer and ordered the AT&T N6 before I knew it was SIM locked. I do have AT&T service too, but Verizon is my main. Anyway, I can forward my Verizon calls to the AT&T N6, but what about SMS messages?
I installed the Verizon Message+ app, but it just wants to use the phone's phone number. When I install Message+ on my tablets, I'm prompted to sign in to my Verizon account. I need the phone to behave the same way so I'm prompted to sign in.
Or, can I setup Hangouts to receive SMS under my Verizon number, and tell Hangouts on the AT&T phone to look for messages using that Verizon number?

Someone else directed me to the site cellunlocker.net. Check it out and see if that might help you get it running on Verizon.

I actually have a tab open with that site, and read some info on it on HowardForums. They are one of the sponsors. I've read good and bad things, but it's only 24 bucks so it's not much of a risk.
