Was on Touchdown for years and my company switched to AirWatch. Any workarounds for this crappy security system?
Have you reached your device limit on your company's Exchange server? If so, you have to have an Exchange administrator reset your account by deleting the old connections!
If not, sounds like an Exchange group policy issue with your company's server?

I have 2 major e-mail servers that i have to be able to connect to, one is a hosted exchange instance and the other is a Lotus Notes server.
I have a subscription to Commontime's Msuite software which in Windows Mobile, creates a new mailbox separate from my exchange server and allows both to peacefully co-exist.
However, in android, they rely on the ONE exchange account on the phone and this would block my access to my exchange server.
Are there any stand-alone mail apps that would allow me to connect to the second account and for all intents, allow my phone to access 2 exchange accounts?
Thanks in advance!
Did you find a client?
Just wondering if you found a client that supports multiple exchange servers/mailboxes
Yeah, I did. Stock 2.1 doesn't work, but found it worked great with Froyo (2.2) - cognition.
I installed Eclipse 1.3.1 few days ago and I love it. Unfortunately when I try to set up an account for my work's Exchange server, I get the dreaded "This server requires security features your phone does not support" error.
It doesn't matter if I try to create the account from the email app or the add accounts screen - same result. Is there a potential work-around for this or am I cursed to stock?
Use Touchdown. It's a pretty good exchange client that I use. Works with Eclipse
Enhanced Email is cheaper than the others, and IMHO better too. Been a happy user of EE for years now.

So I was going crazy trying to reconnect my email service between my NX7 and my work exchange server. Yes, it worked at first, but then just stopped. I made sure that the partnerships in the OWA version of M$ Outlook under options >> phones didn't exceed 10 (that stops things dead). But once it died, it would show as a partnership in OWA, but the 'Corporate email' would not sync on the Nexus.
Fortunately, I had a Touchdown license from the Adam ...bingo back in business. Great product ... better calendar as well.
So, if you have this problem it is because JellyBean has a problem setting up with Exchange Server, and Touchdown is a great solution.

I haven't had any Exchange problems. I used to have Touchdown, back before Android really supported Exchange. It was good at the time, but now it kind of blows. I guess to each their own. I'll stick with the built in support instead.
After this mornings update, I was prompted to accept a Google security update which was very ominous - it more or less gave permission to wipe all data from the phone.
I did a little GIS and found this was typical of corporate phones and accounts. The issue was with the way one or more email accounts were set up under email accounts.
Find your email icon that looks liked a postage stamp. You may need to remove one or more email account which may have been set up a corporate account. Set gmail up under the gmail app. Recreate you alt email as Other (not corporate).
That removed my security update request.

Yes, this is typical if you are using an Exchange ActiveSync account. Makes sense, if you are going to have corporate information on your phone, they should have the ability to remove it if you lose it!
Has anyone else had an issue when trying to add an imap account on lollipop? I'm unable to add my two imap accounts to either of my nexus 6 or 9. I fails with handshake failed...basically can't connect. Worked fine on my Moto X 2014 and Droid Turbo.
Which app. Gmail?
I've tried several but mostly Gmail and Aqua Mail. Both fail with same error. I've read elsewhere that some people have issues with Exchange mail. Not sure if the Nexus/lollipop is blocking ports or whatever. Seems like it.
Exchange on Office 365 and Server 2010 works for me.
Also IMAP.

For imap are you using SSL/TLS ( accept all certificates) port 993? It fails instantly with this but works on KitKat. If I try the other protocols it at least take some time verifying before failing, but failing is expected with those settings.

I'm just using SSL/TLS, port 443 for both my exchange server and Office365, and it works with no issues. Of course, your server may be setup differently, so this may not help. Does your server have a self-signed certificate? Maybe the issue isn't with IMAP, but trust issues with the Certificate Authority? (Neither of the certificates I'm dealing with are self-signed.)
I'm not sure how my work configs their servers but this exact setup works on my moto x and turbo. The speed at which it fails making a connection makes it seem like something on the phone is blocking the attempt. I'll try some other apps from the Play store and see if I have any better luck.
Update:
Just tried using cloud magic from the Play Store. It works but I don't trust this app with my credentials. I suspect it connects to the servers in a different way than native email apps on the Nexus. It also uses ssl and 993. For now I have no other choice but to use it.
