My device worked well until disconnected Signal wifi and so constantly, completely ignore this step until I ._.
and done tests with speedtest and the signal sometimes reaches 3.25Mbps download and 7.10Mbps sometimes , my internet is 10Mbps but is rare occasions costs playstore load that is basic
The problem started using this rom rom candysix and change to see if it solved but it was not the problem remains and tested with CyanogenMod 6.0.1 roms and viperone but also with continuous

HTC s730 signal issues

Hi folks,
my s730 is continuosly facing issue with the connection to the gsm or 3g network, meaning that, after powering up, it gets connected to the network after 15-20 minutes and then, works for some time and afterwards it looses againg the connection being completely unusable.
I have already sent it to repair twice and it has coming back with the same issue on. Tried as well applying the latest official rom that was supposed to fix this but no luck at all.
So guys i really need your help to find out how to fix it before using my s730 as a snowball against a wall.
Cheers

signal drop

I have a weird problem with my galaxy s. Normally my phone reception is strong and shows 5 bars but then sporadically it drops to 0 bars and I have no connection. This happens even when I don't touch the device. However I do notice that when I touch it the signal drops slightly. When I was in a train yesterday it dropped all the time. My father has the same provider as me with his iphone 4 and is not experiencing any drops so that shouldnt be the issue.
This problem seems rather recent after installing darky's rom v.7 and 8, but I'm not sure if that's whats causing the probem. Any ideas? I would hate to send back my phone. Could it also be a sim card problem for some reason?
Try to switch to GSM mode only.. I noticed my signal is about 50% lower if my network mode is set to auto instead of GSM mode.
the signal does seem a bit stronger you're right! thx for that
I'm not sure if it fixes the problem though because it could jump from strong signal to no signal in a split second..
Changed the ROM and got problems does that not give you the answer .
Cannot send back the phone as with a non standard ROM warranty is invalid .
I would flash back to Eclair via ODIN the use Kies to update to your providers current firmware .

well it makes no sense that changing a rom that works well for everyone would be a cause of a weird problem like this. I gotta say though that since changing the option that EarlZ mentioned helped and I haven't seen a drop yet, so lets hope that fixed it.

Does not work well for everyone if you read the multiple complaints .
Thats the nature of rom building a work in progress .
Easy way to test is as always to revert to original rom .

Loosing randomly 3G or telephone signal

Hi all,
Since about 1 year i'm a happy owner of the Galaxy Note. As the stock rom was quite crappy (eating battery like crazy) I decided to swap it with a CM10.0 flavor (Cookies & Cream).
Well, installing the ROM went fine and the phone worked great, except one thing.
Since the beginning that i'm using custom roms on this phone, i'm randomly having issues with the telephone or 3G signal. As I thought, maybe the ROM is full of bugs, I wiped the phone and installed the official CM10.0 ROM. Unfortunately that solved not my problem. Since a couple weeks ago i updated to CM10.1, and still having this issue.
However, some issues where solved since the last upgrade:
- First ROM (CM10 flavor, Cookies & Cream): randomly dropping the signal, and asking for a SIM pin. Sometimes even a restart was needed
- Second ROM (Official CM10): same as above, but less issues with the SIM, mostly signal related
- Third ROM (Official CM10.1: SIM issue gone, however the phone is sill loosing the data signal + sometimes even the telephone signal (restart needed).
When I loose my signal, something it's just the data connection (3G/H). The strange thing is that most of the time that this happens the data connection or telephone signal restores when I enable/open the screen by using the side/home button. Well, that's very strange as I have no power saving apps or something like that running.
But unfortunately this is not always the solutions. Usually 1x per 2 days I have to reboot the phone in order to bring the signal for telephone + data back alive.
SIM has already been replaced, with no luck. I did install this ROM on another phone (from a friend) as well - which had in the beginning the same issues, however things seems to be become stable (haven't heard him anymore)
I already tried different modems on my phone (XXLSA / XXLSX, currently using XXLSO), but none of them solved this loosing data/telephone signal.
It starts to drive me crazy, as I use this phone for my work too.... being unreachable is quite annoying
Anyone an idea what goes wrong here, or how I can find out why this phone is going nuts?
Nobody that could explain why my phone is having this behavior?

[Q] WiFi Reception dropping through walls .

So i recently got my HTC One 6 days ago and have no problems except this one .
When i am in the same room as my router the WiFi connection is perfect, but when i leave the room and go to any other room in the house the connection drops to either very very weak or simply no longer receives signal , all my other devices work except my HTC . I have changed the my router Channel to the least busy and still no change .
Any help or advice would be much appreciated
If this is a manufacturing problem please post so i can send this unit back for another one

Imo you should return it. Mine is working fine at home in any room or floor with at least 3 bars on 4. Maybe you should try with another router first before sending it back and troubleshoot with ''wifi analyser'' from google play. hope it helps

LG V40 - Needs Re-Start to connect to good Cell or WiFi Signal - What's wrong?

Hi,
LG V40 isn't connecting to strong Cell or WiFi signals without a Re-Start ... why?
This has never been a problem before. It's always shown a strong Cell Signal at my house and I've fantastic WiFi speeds at the house too. However, occasionally I"ll notice the phone is slow to load a Website or takes too long to send a large file in a Text, I'll look at the Signal Strength and it shows low Cell Signal and low WiFi Signal, yet I know (and test) them both from another phone and they're as strong as possible.
What is the issue and how can I fix this problem?
Thank you all in advance.
Regards,
Gregory
Almost a week later and not one reply post ! ? !
Guess the heat for LG has faded ... not only for the brand, but for this phone, yet, this phone is still (somewhat) fast, takes all updates and is a good camera.
Well ... I still hope for an answer. I've done a complete Factory Reset without loading ANY apps at all for 3 days and it STILL has this issue.
(... Side Note: It's absolutely AMAZING how long the battery lasts when all the bloatware and junk apps are removed, all non-needed-undeleteable-apps are disabled and there's not one Third Party App ! ! )
I read on another thread it's only happened since 5G started getting activated on towers. I don't understand how one would affect the other, but maybe someone can chime in and clear the air on that.
If I don't get an answer soon, I'll have to check other phones to see if others are having this issue and upgrade to a newer phone.
Hope to hear from someone soon.

I don't have the exact same issue as you, but I have an issue where my data connection doesn't connect when my WiFi is off. So I need to turn on my WiFi before I turn on my data, then only turn off my WiFi. I didn't know this before, and I had to resort to turning on airplane mode, whenever I needed to use my data.
I sent my previous device in for warrany repairs, so my device has a new mainboard, and the issue was on both devices. It has to be a software issue on my variant (LG-V405EB), because I haven't seen any other complaints about it online.

Thanks for the reply Miz Pimp.
The phone was checked out and came back working 100% efficient - but they did say that clearing the phone with a Re-Start will help with connectivity.
I hate that as an answer - but it's something that a Samsung user said they've got to do too.
Feeling less alone regarding this problem, but I'm going to upgrade to a 5G phone early next year when that coverage is expected to get to my area.

That really is a horrible reply. It sucks that we need to do that to get a proper connection. I never had this issue with ANY of my mid-range Huawei devices, so it's pretty annoying that I'd have issues on a flagship.
The System Update 13 from Verizon just installed.
Still the same issue with connectivity damn it! !
I literally shut the phone off and restart to get better reception for several hours .... then the reception will drop to one or two bars, calls have drop-outs and upload/download speeds drop. A Re-Start and it all goes back to full bars and high connectivity speeds.
This does not happen to friends with Pixel's, Sammy's or iPhones.
Looks like the LG has some sort of malfunction ... OR ... it's a program to keep battery life exceptionally long, which it clearly does over my other friends phones who maintain high connectivity rates, yet significantly lower battery life.
