If you downloaded .zip you unpack it somewhere on comp.
You in your phone allow unknown sources in settings and turn on USB debugging.
After that use official cable to connect phone and comp ( I guess you have all usual drivers already installed) and then go to folder where you unzipped your files and start install.bat.
Then follow instructions as they come.
P.S. just to check you downloaded from here: http://nut.xperia-files.com/path/XZDualRecovery

It isn't meant to flashing but it will install Nut's Dual Recovery which is app and will "make" TWRP and CWM and nuts recovery (similar to cwm).
You can enter recovery through app and will go to choosen recovery or when phone is booting you will have a chance to enter directly into recovery by pressing vol up or down...phone will vibrate and notifications led will glow green then press vol up or down

For changing kinguser to supersu just follow this :

I'm not sure about posting 3rd party links but if this get deleted PM me and I will see how to help you.
PS in Nut's app you can also choose which recovery you want to use, although people like to use TWRP I have no predisposition toward any specific.

Well I decided to call Google about the boot loader recovery not working as it should. I was hoping this call would help them to work on another update but they say that's the way its supposed to work. Here's the email Instructions:
1. Power down your device
2. Press and hold both volume keys and the power button to enter
Bootloader mode
3. Press the volume keys to cycle to the Recovery mode option
4. Press the power button to select Recovery mode
5. From the Recovery mode screen, press and hold the Power button then
press the Volume up button.
6. Use the volume buttons to select wipe data/factory reset.
7. Select Yes -- delete all user data.
8. The factory data reset process will now start. Once its finished,
select 'Reboot system now.'
The only option we have in the new recovery is to wipe data. Maybe for those having problems accessing twrp or cwm will be able to a access it with step 5. I don't know haven't rooted yet. So I decided to ask about nvflash and they said they're not going to release any nvflash tools or files.
um, yup. thats how stock bootloader and stock recovery work. lol
whats the issue? if your not even rooted, you wouldn't even know if you have an issue or not with the new bootloader.
Are you saying that you can't flash a different recovery? Or that when you do you still get the same stock recovery? I'm not quite sure what the issue is here, because that is exactly how the stock bootloader, and recovery are supposed to work.
Are you making sure to unlock fastboot before trying to flash recovery. I don't recall seeing or hearing anyone say anything about not being able to get to clockwork mod once its installed.

No. I saw people posting they couldn't get go cwm and could only see the red exclamation point. And I was just saying maybe after choosing recovery then holding volume up and power it would then go to cWm or twrp. I was hoping for someone to try it who is still on 3.41 Recovery. A lot of people downgraded back to 3.39 or whatever version it was

I can confirm that to get in to the stock recovery you hold down 'power' and then tap 'vol up'.
At present I am running the latest CWM touch recovery. This boots straight into it from the bootloader without any extra button presses.
My personal preference to go into CWM is from either QuickBoot or ROM Manager.

I wonder why some on 3.41 can't go straight to twrp and some can. Sorry for the ahole comment I thought you were trying to be a smartass towards me. I'm just trying to find out as much info from people before I root. I am experienced at flashing and a little adb but I just read a lot of HELP BRICKED MY NEXUS posts. Did you use wugs toolkit or adb to unlock and root?

When I first flashed TWRP onto my Nexus 7 after that official 4.1.2 OTA update, I wasn't able to boot into it. I then flashed it again via fastboot, and then booted the TWRP image that was on my computer, and then TWRP loaded.
I believe TWRP does work normally now as well (I can boot into it and reboot into it).

Well if I was you I'd just use mskips toolkit, its absolutely epic it'll save you a lot of farting around. I take it that your fully updated? ( Not that it matters) You seem to know and understand your way around adb so just go for it and enjoy.
Its works smooth as silk and save you a lot off time. The options available to you are just staggering!

going to recovery from bootloader works fine after 3.41.....wat r u talkin abt? (i m stock rooted+twrp)
oh yea...u hav 2 remove that recovery stock.p file thingy first.
There are plenty of people that are having issues with recovery on 3.41 bootloader.... Its confirmed some have it some don't.
The issue is that with 3.41 bootloader on some Nexus 7 Devices a custom recovery is unbootable no matter how you try, every time it will try to load recovery and fail at a black screen then reboot into the OS. It does not matter how you try from ADB reboot to recovery or from bootloader with USB attached or not.

In your system folder there's a file called 'recovery-from-boot.p'
Go into a file manager with w/r access and rename it ' recovery-from-boot.p.bak'
When the system boots it reads that file and resets the recovery to stock, by changing the name you remove the problem.

error boot image signature means the bootloader is locked. so u didnt install the recovery and so thats why u cant go in recovery. u just deleted the stock recovery by mistake. now u either go ahead and try unlock , flash recovery and install new rom if u want to go away from stock rom, or use kdz to restore.
<<EDIT>> i dont understand that o4x. i just told you whats ur situation there. now use search and find the solution
Hi there,
I was recently put in the same situation, i.e. I installed ROM Manager and then ClockworkMod. When I open ROM Manager --> Recovery Setup --> Install or Update Recovery --> Click on "ClockworkMod Recovery" --> I get "Error while downloading from server. Please make sure that you have a stable internet connection and that your SD card is inserted and have free space!". I have made sure that I have both, therefore I do not understand why I get this error. When I select "Reboot into recovery" in ROM Manager my phone restarts and then I get the same error as ruznik.
When I try to boot into recovery manually, i.e. switch off phone, Volume UP (or DOWN) + Power button, I get the same error as ruznik. However, my phone boots normally which is always a relief.
I uninstalled ROM Manager and tried to boot into recovery and I got the same error as ruznik. Then I installed back ROM Manager and in the Recovery set up there is already "ClockworkMod recovery", which probably means that ClockworkMod was not uninstalled when I uninstalled ROM Manager.
I have rooted my LG P880, but I believe I have not unlocked the bootloader (I suspect that CWM + bootloader not unlocked is what is causing the error with booting into recovery?). I say I believe, because I did the rooting some time ago and I do not remember if I have unlocked the bootloader as well.
I would like to uninstall CMW. However, I understand that this is not a very easy thing, therefore I would be happy to reflash my EUR-XXX Jelly Bean 4.1.2, root and then unlock the bootloader. However, although I have properly installed the drivers (as this is not the first time I will flash the EUR-XXX), my phone does not connect to my PC, although it charges from the PC. I have tried with two different cables, I have enabled debugging, I have Media Sync enabled (I tried also the option LG software as I have LG PC suite installed), I have tried to connect it to different ports, I have tried to connect it to different PCs, but still nothing. Note that this is happening only with my LG P880, because I can connect properly my Iphone 4S to all 3 PCs. Also, when I open my LG PC suite, I cannot connect the mobile phone to the LG PC suite via cable, but I can connect it via Wifi connection.
I am a bit reluctant to unlock the bootloader, e.g.
youtubedotcomslashwatch?v=sBeirPeT2rQ
youtubedotcomslashwatch?v=iqEop-ThNug
because I do not want to brick my working phone when I cannot connect it to my PC so that I can flash it (sorry for the broken links - I am not allowed to post links because I am new to XDA). Therefore, I have two questions:
1) Is there anything I can do to connect my phone to a PC? I believe that everything went wrong after I installed ROM Manager and then CWM via ROM Manager.
2) Is it safe to unlock the bootloader while the phone is in the current state? I am not sure if the phone will restart and then will not be able to turn on again because it will be bricked? And since I have not managed to connect my phone to a PC, I am not sure how I will be able to flash the software?
Apologies for long email - I tried to be as descriptive as I can. Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

Long press on the power button will get you out of recovery and restart your phone. With your phone on, connect to PC and delete the theme folder for twrp that you created (you would of created one to be able to theme it). Unplug, power into recovery, no theme!!

Thanks for the replies. Ive tried long press on power. It doesnt work. I dont have access to a pc until tomorow(Im using my chromebook at the moment) Deleting the themes folder was going to be the first thing I was going to do. Can I access the files on the phone from pc when the phone is off or in download mode? If not I will flash recovery with odin. Thanks for the help once again.
No you can't. What you could do is download cwm (Odin) to your external SD card put it back in your phone install (assuming the install button is accessible from twrp..) Cwm n bobs your uncle

One more question guys. I assume when I flash cwm it will be the default recovery? Also after flashing with odin will the phone boot normally and not into recovery. If it boots normally then I could just flash twrp and then delete the theme folder. I hope im making sense.
Cheers
Flash cwm, the phone should boot normally that is assuming you already have a rom installed? If so boot up then delete the theme folder then you can then flash twrp.

Hi There,
Bro You dont neeed to go to Download Mode to install CWM. Download mode is used to Unbrick/Unroot Galaxy Ace To stock using odin. To Install CWM You need to go to Recovery Mode.
In Galaxy Ace you go to Recovery Mode by Holding Home/Back button and Power On Button. And keep them holding until you see the samsung logo on samsung logo leave the Power on but dont leave the Home until it takes you to the Recovery.
If you want to flash a custom recovery see my thread.
Good Luck.

HI Guys, Hoping this is the right place to ask this question, first a little of context
My Device is a Samsung J7 Prime G610M, the home button is totally damaged, im trying to root my device for the 1st time, as far as i know i need TWRP in order to do this, im able to access download mode using ADB (adb reboot Download) i am able to flash the TWRP of this thread (https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga.../recovery-twrp-3-2-0-galaxy-j7-prime-t3716355) everything goes well and the flash is complete.
However im not able to access the custom recovery, i enter adb reboot recovery but instead of TWRP i got the standard android recovery (blue letter, dark background). i don't know if im doing something wrong or if TWRP is not accessible under ADB commands.
can you give me some ideas to complete this? i tried looking for a pre-rooted rom to install using odin with no results, ive tried using adb and fastboot modes with no success.
thanks for the help.
