Compass not working after update to lollipop - Xperia Z1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I tired to find a way to fix compass not working in android L (after updated from 4.4.4)
and I need some lib/blob file to fix this problem and Who can Fix this I will give U a giveaway modded (I mean edited)google spotlight story modded for c6902 and c6903 Thx for see this post

as far as we know the compass damage along with other sensors issues like rotation, proximity sensor is irreversible, if you have EVER updated past KK unfortunately the sensor is done. sony explained something about it being a firmware issue and may not fix until we get a OFFICIAL MM update that will update the firmware and Kernel.

OFFICIAL MM ?
Sony not supported xperia z1
(U see cam problem in other ported mm rom)

That's the issue, only Sony OFFICAL MM "might" fix issue not a ported rom because we need a Sony mm ftf with a kernel and all that stuff

[Q] A few question about the Z1 before I buy it

Hi guys, i wanna buy a Xperia Z1 and I've been reading a lot of reviews but i also wanna see what users think so here are some questions:
1.Why is there such a lack of Roms, is it because of the bootloader unlock bug or what?
2.How is the performance, does it lag in HD games?
3.will there be more roms because the bootloader unlock bug got fixed in the 4.3 update?
4.Some people have some touchscreen problems is that happening with you and is it a software or hardware bug and how to fix it?
5.Some people's phones DIE HOW TO FIX IT????
6.If you've tried LG G2 then which do you think is better?
7. What is the TA partition and how to restore it?
8.I live in Iran and i don't think the 4.3 updatte is out yet so is there any other way to update it(stock firmware and no custom roms) and other than the bootloader bug being fixed is there any other new feature in the update.
9.Is the viewing angle really that bad cuz I've been hearing a lot about it.
10.What is the most stable custom rom?
11.Are you happy with it?????
Thank You

Camera Problems Safestrap/GE Rom/ML2

Hey Guys,
I recently flashed GoldernEye Rom 22 and everything is great, except the camera. I for the life of me cannot get any camera to work or any patches to work. anytime i open a Camera APK they stop working. or only the front camera works.
Setup
s4 Active ATT
ML2 Baseband
Safestrap 3.71
Golden Eye Rom (GE-i337-NAA-21-Safestrap with the following Zips
*jflteatt-active-ML2-modules+key_fix
*GE-SLiM-F4ST-ADV
*Volume_Boosting_Sound_Moderate
Did I flash the wrong Rom? do the camera patches not work with the ML2 Baseband? Im loosing sleep over this stuff!
any help is greatly appreciated. The Rom is fast, great on battery, and very minimalist once all the Bloatware is removed. Best Rom i have flashed thus far except for my camera problem.

Gonna bump this, since I am having the same problem. Flashed HyperDrive via safestrap, and no working camera. Tried flashing a ML2 patch, but no dice. Anyone have any information on this?
@spegelius is working on fixing the camera for the i9295. You might want to check with him and see if he'll put together a flashable zip for you to try. The camera patches that exist now are based on @LeJay camera fix for 4.2.2/CM 10. It seems like the existing camera patches should work, but Samsung may have changed some things between 4.2.2 and 4.3. Hopefully you can get a hold of @spegelius, he's your best bet.

I am on the SGH-i537, but if I read everything correctly so far, the hardware is not different...correct? If so, I'd be willing to test out any zips the devs need testing. What is needed? Libs from the stock or more?

Cam Probs with iHackers V4.1

Hi.
I updated to iHackers v4.1 from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2716182
Everything works fine. Root is still on my Z1. Wonderful.
But my Cam does not focussing :/
The Notes says:
In case someone runs into Camera Issues, Flash the Full Kitkat FTF first and then Install the ROM.
If i klick the Link, there are so many Files and i dont know which i should take.
Which Version? 757?
Which Provider? No Matter what, unbranded or for my Proivider: Vodafone DE
Do i lost my Root?
My Z1 is set nearly perfeclty.
Is there a solution to fix the camera problem without losing root?
My Bootloader is unlocked.
And i dont know how to know which Baseband Version i have
I see only:

XT1068 - Marshmallow to Kitkat - Now No Camera?

I found that my XT1068 wasn't fast enough to handle Marshmallow and I felt like throwing it away so I thought before I do that, I'll stick Kitkat back on and see how it handles it.
Everything went well except one thing, the rear camera (most useful) doesn't work. I've tried Google Camera and the stock camera app..
Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm rooted and have TWRP.

That's because your phone was shipped with lp, and this means that you have a Toshiba front cam, which isn't supported by kitkat (missing drivers). Sadly, you can't do anything with that. If you need the front camera, you have to update to mm or lp.
I've got screenshots of it running Kitkat and http://www.gsmarena.com/motorola_moto_g_dual_sim_(2nd_gen)-6648.php states it was running Kitkat.
It's the rear camera, the non-selfie camera. Any way to tell what brand of camera it is?
Try the GB version it solved the camera problem for me. This is the download link OWNLOAD Firmware KXB21.85.23 - GB Region (UK) http://www.mediafire.com/download/a...Sim+RETAIL+GB+(UK)+KXB21.85-23-by-Reefuge.zip
Looks like that solved it. Thank you so much!
I'm glad I could help.
4.4.4 stock works on ur device ???
Yes it does.

Compass and Gyroscope fix for Z1

I am looking for a way to create a flashable zip for the gyroscope and compass fix as it is not working after installing a custom ROM. Looking for ways to revert the kernal settings only for the sensors. Can someone help creating flashable zip from the stock ROM?
Regards, EJ
Try to make sure that it is a hardware problem or is it a software problem? flashing stock rom ?
Hey man, thanks. I'm not with the stock rom. Checked and realized it's hardware issue. Used sensors diagnostics and found. Happened after display replacement. Fixing it though!!!
