Hello, I have tried to flash a custom recovery via odin but it doesnt work.
So I got a new s3 mini since my old broke (Display break) and decided to install cyanogen mod from maclav
I have installed cyanogen mod bevor on my "old" Handy and it worked fine,
But now, When i try to install TWRP or CWM via odin i gut get "Reset" and no "Pass" and when i try to boot into the recovery it is just stuck at the logo and doesnt do anything other.
So i cant get into the recovery, Did i miss something ?
What am i doing wrong? and can i get a link to a recovery cant find a right i think i tryed many i found but i think that migh
Make sure using right recovery for your S3 mini variant, i8190 and i8200 are different devices and don't share the same recovery.

Hello there,
I am new to this thing... and I installed CynogenMod 10 via CWM
everything worked great until I tried installing the GoogleApp...
I tried to find the CWM (I did not start it from bootloader. as a app)
I didn't find it so I thought the ROM deleted it..
I tried flash the CWM again via ODIN and next thing the phone was stuck on boot ( the screen with Galaxy S)
I tried to flash the CWM again and I got fully brick which is weird because I can enter to the Dowloading mode
can anyone help me to make my phone work again ?
Thank you !!!

I had a russian stock 4.1.3 firmware on my i9070 with standard samsung recovery and it was kinda buggy(Google Play wouldn't work) and I decided to flash TWRP (yes, I now realize it couldn't have worked since it is for gingerbread) and I got stuck in boot screen with no recovery. The only solution I could think of is to flash stock JB again, so I downloaded stock Romania(Cosmote) Firmware and tried to flash it with both Odin v1.87(with and without pit file) and v3.07 and Odin gave me a PASS each time, but I am still stuck in boot screen with no recovery.
Clearly I am doing something wrong, and it probably is something I should have read somewhere, but there are so many details that I don't know where to start looking...
Later Edit:
It finally booted! Sorry for the new thread.
I don't know why it wasn't working with the Romanian firmware but I used the Greece one and it works fine.
Hi, my friend is facing same problem. Its showing PASS always.
But, its not booting to custom recovery.
It goes to samsung recovey and says "Downloading"
How you got it cleared? Do u need to wait at that previous screen?

If you are flashing custom recovery, but you still have stock Samsung recovery, you are clearly doing something wrong.
When I flashed custom recovery, I had JellyBean Android installed and the recovery was made to work with Gingerbread, so it wouldn't boot recovery at all.
Since you are still getting the standard Samsung recovery, you haven't flashed the custom recovery correctly.
I suggest you retrace your steps and find some tutorial that could help you with your problem HERE.
When I couldn't access recovery, I just flashed stock JellyBean again with Odin.
Hello,
I am really stuck with a S3 mini 8190 I messed with,
I was on XXALLJ,
then flashed CWM 6.0.2.7 with ROM Manager,
Flashed a couple of ROMS just for testing (CM10, worked) then (Carbon, Virginity) stuck at boot logo.
With that, I find my phone looping at Samsung S3 mini GT-I8190 screen,
indefinitely restarting,
When I tried coming back to stock ROM using Odin,
I go through the process with a Success,
but nothing happens in real,
Tried dozens of ROMS, Kernel, param, Stock recovery,
all with success, but Nothing happens when booting,
even when trying installling ROMS with CWM,
it says installed, but nothing happens when rebooting,
Seems Like something keeps coming back to CWM 6.0.2.7,
or protecting the custom recovery and the messed ROM.
and it's Boot looping at the Samsung S3 mini GT-I8190 screen,
I don't understand.
Heeeelp !!
Hello,
Managed to find on some threads what seems to be the problem,
I may have messed with the R/W permissions,
and now nothing I flash is effective.
How can I correct this ?
Even trying repartitioning with PIT file can't be done with ODIN,
it says FAIL !
Heeelp !
So I have an S3 Mini i8200N. I flashed it with philz recovery after rooting with vroot, then flashed a deodixed rom somewhere on here. I have the same rom on my memory card but when I flash it I'm still stuck in the recovery. I can't boot it to enable usb debugging, and the computer (Windows 10) doesn't seem to be able to detect it. Is there any way to fix it or is it totally bricked? Was about to flash it back to stock for my cousin to have it. If it is a brick i'll just replace the screen on hers with the one from this so no biggie either way. Thanks
Is it working now that you flashed stock? If so try using twrp instead & a different custom rom
After a successful root, I tried to install twrp custom recovery, so I downloaded the appropriate .img file and flashed it using Odin, but the device never entered recovery mode when I attempted to, it only showed the Samsung logo and freezed there, but it could boot up normally to the system, so I tried the adb command "reboot recovery", it rebooted and freezed at the Samsung logo again but this time it also did the same whenever I tried to boot up the system, I am sure this can be fixed but I don't know how, Please help.
Hi,
make sure that you didn't mix up the 2 diffrent S3 minis I8190 and i8200 .....
It thats all okay. I would try to flash TWRP via ODIN again. Sometimes it helps.
If not it could be lots of other problems. e.g. your PITfile could be mixed up, .........
It would help to know which Version of the S3 mini you have, which TWRP you used. Wich HOWTO you followed to Flash it, etc pp.
